Just tried them trough Steam ( the Steam install BoM etc,300.1) and now they work.still a no go in BoS 3.001, but will try the download again. I don't have an La-5FN but the La5 mission has the blue curse that i'll have to correct.

Up and working. My mistake in reloading missions from the Steam BoS install .I'm relieved! Everything seems to work but there are a couple of "blue world ' missions that will have to be tweaked in Mission builder..otherwise you do good work Mr.Monkey!

Ok, glad to hear. You can run the resave tool in the mission editor and it should fix the blue screens.

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!!!

Ubercool!

Still have the 'blue curse' in Clearing Stalingrad and can't get The Butcher to load...

Unzip it directly to the mission folder - or unzip the folder, then move that folder (or the contents of the folder) to in the Program Files/1C Game Studios/IL-2Sturmovik/data/Missions? I'm sure I'm doing something wrong...

What a fantastic contribution!

JM,

Hello again,  I've noticed several references to the "blue world" in the posts above.  I'm assuming it relates to the snow being very "blue".  How does one go about correcting this?

Hi @Falcon41, thats a good guess but in this case it's referring to something else.

Some missions weather setting break with some upgrades and the screen gets a heavy blue tint even in summer maps. The fix is to change the clouds setting in the editor.

The bluer winter maps you mentioned are actually a feature of the new update. You can't fix it from the game but you can always use third party tools like Reshade if it bothers you.

On the ClearingStalingrad mission I get a sort weird blue colour all around, great missions by the way

Jade,

Hello again.  Any suggestions for updating your single missions for the new version of the game.

Hey @Falcon41, it seems there are some issues with my missions and the last update. For things to work you need to delete all mission files except the ones ending in ".msnbin".

That should do the trick.

When I open the "JM Missions v12"  folder in game it clicks to open but doesn't list any of the missions?

Other folders seem to work fine and are all extracted in to data/missions etc. in the same way

I deleted v11 before adding v12?

Would appreciate any help

Hmmm tried that and still no joy?? Strange??

Hi Bonzey

thats strange,

i have deleted everything except msnbin files and the missions are visible, at least for me.

If i can make a suggestion:

Make a copy of all mission files (original mission folder), then delete all files and put them one by one into the mission folder. I know its not shortest solution in time.

Dont forget to backup all files.

i) Backed up Missions folder

ii) Deleted original Missions folder

iii) Created new Missions folder

iv) Copied over other original missions (they work just fine)

v) Installed new "JM Missions v12" (unfortunately the missions are just not listing?)

It's like its a different file version error or something? but I'm pretty sure it isn't?

Gonna mow the lawn instead :(

Updated both my steam version and 1c version.

Mission folders are all there, but JM folder will not open.

Read on another thread that this is a fault with the developers.

Their interim suggestion ( and it works ) is to change the game setting language to Russian.

Only drawback is that everything is in Russian.

Their working on it.

Posted

Jade,

Did what you suggested and no luck!  However, if you change the language in settings the missions appear.  I understand the developers are working to correct the problem.

Wow, really? It must be something related to the ".rus" files then.

Sorry guys I dont have a ton of time lately to work on IL2 missions, or even to fly at all (new job with long commute + wife has been having serious health issues, all at the same time)

It's unfortunate that this issue came up with the latest patch but I can only fix so much from my end.

I just use the mission editor and share the output with you guys, there is no programming magic happening on my end.

I downloaded to BoS>data>missions and now have a hundred files but no organization. There is a folder for Audio but everything else is loose. Shouldn't these be in folders with names of the missions?

No folders are required. Up to you to add any specific structure if you wish.

Please tell me which changes you made to the earlier download today.

I've just finished sorting everything out with the original set.

BTW, I am really enjoying these missions and greatly appreciate your hard work.

Thx

The new missions are really fun and atmospheric! Flying in a big wing of Hs-129s low over the Caucuses while He-111s are bombing Soviet positions, guns are firing, trucks are scrambling... it's all really immersive, good job! The G6 Scramble mission is really difficult, haven't managed to survive it, yet. Keeping up your attacks against the Il-2s to keep them away from the poirt while the much more nimble Yaks are attacking you is very challenging. I'm having a lot of fun, but the Germans aren't going to be happy with the amount of 109s I'm going through...

As an added bit of criticism, P-40 - Intercept Bombers, Yak1 - Defend the Volga docks, and T-34 - Clearing Stalingrad have the atmosphere bug. It's an easy fix just by selecting a clouds preset in the ME, but you might want to quickly change that for your next upload

Hi JM. I'm new here and downloaded your missions. I love them. Thank you for your work with these. I really love the tank missions. It took me some digging through the forums but then found the answer to the blue tint on the Stalingrad map by resetting the clouds and saving the mission.

Thank you VERY much. :drinks:

Its quite all right. I understand. Thanks for the fun. Learning BOS now after modding 1946 for so long is a great new challenge. I really like it.
