Thanks, these worked fine.  For some reason I had no *.mission files in v18. My problem wasn't just yours, it also affected all my FC single player missions. Solution was to use mission editor and resave all missions one folder at a time. For what ever reason (don't know why) that worked on everything - including your missions (I had to add v17 *.mission files). I've now replaced all your missions with v19 and things are great once again. Thanks for your help, and really appreciate all the work you do.

Tank mission [requires TC and BOBP].

Command a Panther tank, use the hills south of Limburg to stop the allied advance.

The mission requires very little movement, mostly sniping incoming allied tanks from a vantage point.

It's a cracker @Jade_Monkey! Thanks, I had a blast (literally, at some points).

It's an ace Campaign, not too heavy, not too light and I'd recommend it to anyone. In fact I DO!!

Cheers

Alright, time to fly the Typhoon!

Here is a mission that I started building a while ago but repurposed for the Typhoon and rocket practice.

Focus on the AAA (new flak 43 is fierce), you won't be able to destroy the bunkers with rockets.

Make sure to map the new vertical controls for the gunsight (corrects for rocket drop). There is no universal number because it really depends on a lot of factors but if you want a quick and dirty recommendation I would suggest 1.6 degrees.

updated the file (just a typo in mission subtitles)

That's got to be some sort of record in getting a mission done so quickly after new aircraft roll-out and some fun with the "Tiffy" trying to make a dent ( apparently impossible...)on some of the new fortifications & weapons! Some fun too! Thanks for the quick work Jade monkey!!!

New Typhoon "cab rank" mission, this time with bombs.

The mission is randomized to get one of three different ground targets each time.

Always enjoy your missions, very immersive and well put together ?

I got shot down by AA in your walcheren mission, ( I just wish we had less accurate AA in this sim  )

I have it on high to reflect the dangers the Typhoon pilots faced.

You can always change the difficulty if you venture into the editor.

Thnx Jade, PS your stuff always seems well worked out and good fun.

Pretty realist. This kind of situation was really common and it’s good to play these scenarios

Thanks

  • A-20 Bombing Run to Liege - AI climb speed is a bit slow.

AI tends to keep the speed given on the waypoint. That’s why the climb’s rate is so low.

No. The bombers (A-20 and B-25) climb at a reduced manifold and RPM no matter what you set in the waypoint.

This was reported to devs a while back but no fix yet.

Regarding the scripted missions, I'm new and although I have considerable online Aces High III experience, I find need a lot of time learning IL2. The scripted missions provide much of the experience needed, however, I flew one yesterday that after taxiing and positioning for takeoff, I applied power and from there on the entire mission was on autopilot and I had NO control. Is this a bug or did I hit some command that engaged this auto-mission?

I'm assuming you pressed the "A" key which does indeed put you on autopilot. You need to be in the cockpit view for the A key to work.

Ok, thanks. I'll have to check that. I always thought autopilot was L-Shft A.

If I recall correctly L-Shft A is Autolevel, and A is full autopilot.

I installed these, and I get a "waiting for mission description to load" when I select the missions. Is this normal?

With the last patch, you need to use the mission editor ressver tool to bring the mission version up to date. This doesn't happen with every patch but major ones that change the structure of the mission files.

I'll upload a new package this week when I get a chance.

Welcome here and honest questions never bother.

It's bin a while I used it but I think it was as follows.

Open BoS main directory - open bin - open editor - klick on "STeditor" - go to "Tools" - there you have "Resave all missions in Folder" / "Resave all groups in folder" - if you klick on them (I'm not sure if it was the groups or missions - guessing it was missions) a new window opens and you have to choose the campaign ore missions (You find it under - BoS - data- campaigns/missions) you want to resave.

after that the editor starts working and don't be confused, it takes some time (couple of minutes on my system)

Been a while since anybody posted in this thread, but I found an issue with the Ground Attack P38 mission "suppressing artillery near Spa" mission where Bison 2 and Bison 3 collide upon taxi to runway and none of the flight takes off

Posted

This is something i noticed when you manually take off in front of some wingmen. Wait too long and they'll bump into your a$$.

Something i haven't noticed happening a while a go.

These are really old missions, I tested them and they worked when released but it's possible some things changed in game over time. I'm not maintaining these anymore, AQMB does enough to cover those needs even though it's not exactly the same.
