Searching for file "eventlog" or similar.

Gentlemen, within the BOS game, where can I find the "eventlog" file?

I do not want to create a server, only to find a file with the sequence of events.

go to IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data then edit the file startup.cfg

in the section [KEY = system] edit the line mission_text_log = 0 and turn the value to 1

 

then you will see multiple text file appears called mission report like this one : missionReport(2015-12-02_17-01-06)[0].txt

It works for MP too.

JG13_opcode, it's working for me. The file is created in the folder ( IL-2 Sturmovik BOS / Data / FlightLog ).

 

However, the file is not TXT, it is MLG.

 

PBO_Foxy, please, how to create the file in TXT format?

Search log files in .../Data/Logs 

 

Those in FlightLog are generate by client not the server I think.

There are three options for the text log:

      mgenlog = 1
      mission_text_log = 1
      text_log_folder = "logs\"

Not entirely sure whether the first one is needed, or whether it's for the binary log only.

I'm still having trouble to generate an eventlog file. With the information above I generate a confusing eventlog.

 

Please, does anyone know if it is possible to generate an eventolg here like in old il2?

Log files are different then in old il2. Here, in general, ID of objects and players are used so it's not easy to read for a human.

Kathon, are these what you pull from to produce server stats? We are interested in getting a stats database plugged up to our server for logging what happens. Would help for testing as well I believe.

Yes they are, at least with Vaal's stats system.

Is there a really good tutorial on how to get that all set up? I downloaded the package and glanced at the readme, but it appeared to be quite a bit more complicated than I had hoped.

I changed the mission_text_log = 1 and found the Flightlogs in the folder ( IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles / Data / FlightLog ).

 

Any idea how read the MLG files?

I tried it with Notepad and Wordpad, but it is partially unreadable............
