Id like to start by saying thankyou for allocating me a slot.

I will of course take part,

As ive always tried to do since May 2015 and the pre runner 'Blood in the skies' test mission.

If this really is the end of an era, (i hope not)  i would like to personally thank you Tip and DBS for all the hard work and effort you have put into FNBF's.

But all good things unfortunately come to and end.

Its been a privilage to have taken part, and ive made many new friends in the flight sim community because of it.

So i wish you all the best for the future,

And FNBF's will be remembered fondly for many years to come.

Yes, we did that a while back. Think I tried to change it over at BF, but I couldn't figure out how to.

 

Anyway, I don't know if any of the other SCG guys will show this time, but I hope they will. FNBF is the reason I got into IL-2 multiplayer a couple of years ago. I've had so much fun all the times I've been able to participate.

 

There's really nothing else like FNBF. I really hope it'll be back some day, or something like it. Thank you so much for all your effort, Tip.

Hadn't made up my mind on what all the Spit Mk.IXe will be doing Luse. Nice ride with or without bombs.

Btw this isn't the complete end of [DBS] Bomber events. Just FNBF in its current configuration.

Okay we still have a lot of Spits and 109G-14s without drivers as well as the possibility of other allotted aircraft slots opening up as I haven't heard back from everyone.

Tip, thanks so much for generously reserving a slot for me!  Sadly, real life is going to take me out on both of these next 2 Fridays.  I hope =FI=Genosse (& maybe more) can be there to 'represent' the Fighting Irish in these landmark FNBF events, and maybe pull in 1 or 2 more of us - we'll see.  Either way I wish you guys a fantastic time!

 

I'm also really encouraged to see you leaving some room 'between the lines' that we might see an FNBF redux in some new format in the future.  This event has helped me work through some challenging weeks, just by putting one more 'cherry on top' to kick off the weekend right.  Others obviously feel the same.  The 'cooperative misison' flavor, the environment of the missions, and of course the great group of folks participating have we salivating for Friday every time.  Sure, 'participation makes it happen,' but NONE of it happens without the gift of your passion and dedication, and you've shared that with us for a LONG time, bud.  The same thanks goes to your DBS squad mates who've also contributed.

 

I hope to see more of FNBF later on, but either way it's a good time to let you know just how grateful we are.

And I'll join in on the heartfelt thanks for all the hard work putting these together.  I'm new to them (and to this version of IL-2) but they have been some of the most fun air combat simming I've had in many, many years of combat simming.  Great group and great missions.

Thanks a million for organising this, Tip. Had a very fun evening with the Il-2s, I managed to land all three aircraft at the end of each sortie, and we collectively did a perfect five out of five in the last mission! Our brave escorts Alex and Chanceless were very busy throughout the mission, always outnumbered but doing their best to fend off the incessant Bf-109s. A huge thank you to our NN friends for assisting whenever they could!
