Ju-52 will certainly have a presence. Battlefields traffic helps the cause. And welcome to FNBFs...

I came after you and Stele in my Il-2 but you were too fast. All I managed was to give Stele a fuel leak.

Great mision first fly i have been shodown over taget but bailing out all 3 members from Peshka. One friend crash to ground after divé bombing and one retreat to home field. Next fly we are only two. Atacking was sucefull but on way to home airfield two FW 190 ATACKING us one FW we shoot down. My pilot was killer and last Peshka burning. Good mision. In next mision Peshka need Cover :-)

Haha so it was you! we were so scared, my pants were wet! We really wanted to go home in this mission!

Luckily, our Ju88 were fast enough...and Stele is a very good pilot actually.

Friday Night Bomber Flights Mission December 16th "Lutins" AAR

 

 

Excellent Mission. Well Flown All.

Some great air to air and ground action out there.

We'll pick it up next year with the new stuff.

Quite good mission, full of unusual actions.

I've recorded some footage from Peskas an Il2 that I will post later.

One Il2 exploded in mid air due to a hit in the munition rack on the wings. First time I saw that ingame. Also the Peska I was gunner in, was attacked by a FW190 that killed the pilot and my persona in a frantic approach.

Good fighting even with a quite realistic mid air collision of two Il2 looking for enemy ground units. Awesome target fixation

Hi,

this is some of the recorded footage that I take from the last season.

I was killed before attacking ground units West of Kalach, when my IL2 lost the RH wing due to Heavy AA,. I was flying very low and did't have time to even initiate the bail out secuence.

So I was still on Mulligan and take another chance, I was killed in a middair collision with another IL2 while looking from ground targets South of Lyapichev.

Then, the following shots and, maybe the most amazing part of my night, starts below.

I was flying as a top gunner for the leader of a x2 Peshka group with airfield interdiction as a task:

You answered it your self, we start up after New year, sign on a plane you want to fly , meet up in Official TS channel and meet a very nice bunch of pilots that will help you and fly with you, and you are right it is fun and only that. Would not flown BOXif it was not for this event myself.

Hi Scojo,

Yes, its a multiplayer event with limited spots. You can join here or in battlefields forum and choose a plane to play upon availability.

 

DBS_Tip creates the mission and they represent a front line that moves dynamically depending of the last mission result. Quite amazing entertainment.

The people that participate is top notch and the ROE that Tip sends in every briefing describes what's allowed and what is not.

Depending the side you choose(German or Soviet) you will have certain objectives that shall be accomplished in the 2:30 long mission. Due to the organization and use of the Teamspeak, each group meets a couple of minutes prior the mission to discuss operations, assign fighter escort or organize the fighter cap or attack/bomber squads and primary and secondary objectives. Of course, and as in real life, those objectives are never accomplished in the way they were originally planned.

It's in my honest opinion, one of the best online events I ever participate. You must try.

Regarding difficulty and pilot level, if you flight in normal difficulty in an average way, this is not that complicated. The leader of each group use to tell the eng rpm, speed and related values for a more or less organized flight. There are always people willing to help any newcomer.

One question as we get back started in the New Year would be...

 

Does VVS want to use the Ju-52?

Could be straight up with a limited number or you would need to capture them.

Skins can be locked to the Orange or Red standard game skin. Everyone would need to install the same VVS version if we want to go that way. Which is doable too.

 

Next Mission will be on Jan. 6th.

My vote may not count since I don't often get to fly your missions, but I'd prefer to be able to fly the JU52 as Russian (for now). There's probably not that many people who own it anyway.

I own the Ju52 and I like it very much. I fly it couple times online making my own imaginary transport missions.

Could be interesting to fly it Tip, with those distinctive skins or on a mission in which we stole them and the germans need to intercept.

Just had a great deal of discussion about this in the DED server topic, many Axis pilots do not like the idea and there might be big problems. I like it too. But for VVS sake , to be realistic we have big problems filling the bare necessity of slots. We only got full pot on IL 2, lack fighter pilots and PE 2 pilots constantly.

I vote for no go on the JU 52 for that reason only, we do not have manpower to deal with transport missions.

Of course I hope this will change, but until it does, please reconsider this matter

Well i think we are mature enough to check marks or paint color before squeezing the triger, so are fighters on Random expert but as im reading their posts poor VVS were shoot down by own comrades not just once... It's no good for VVS to be TK and there is scarcity of bomber pilots so i'm for Ju52 only for the axies .

I love the Ju52 and would be happy to fly it for the VVS. However, I'm not very keen on it being introduced willy-nilly. Perhaps if one got captured that's ok - incidentally that should apply to all a/c in the missions if that idea is going to come in.

I don't really think that we should allow the VVS to have the Ju52 just because the Li-2 isn't in game. After all, there is no medium-bomber for the Russians yet no-one suggested borrowing the He111. Let's play the missions with what we have - good luck to the Luftwaffe for getting a dedicated transport plane and I hope that they use it well. The VVS will have to stick with the Pe-2 substitute for now.

Good points. Much less concerned about friendly fire though as we are all on TS with whispers set up. Not to mention the briefings.

 

The idea of capturing aircraft then using said a/c could lead to some very interesting scenarios. We'll drive off that bridge when we come to it.
