1PL-Husar-1Esk Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Hi Tip we take 4 yaks. Thanks see you
=FI=Blue2 Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 In for the last La-5 please, Tip - but "in reserve" due to RL factors (work may prevent flying or make me late again).
II/JG11_ATLAN_VR Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 2x 109 G2 pls II/JG11 ATLAN AND II/JG11 PUMA THX
Lusekofte Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 I came home with a inflammation on my right shoulder one week earlier. If my condition improves I like to take a shot on the PE 2 If not.... well then I can´t
=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 (edited) In the opinion of many, this is the best event Il-2 has to offer. But... ...your WoL 111 dive bombing is not going to fit in here. Unless you're flying recon, you won't be flying alone. This should fix all of the complaints I've seen you make towards WoL, however, since everyone plays the objective, with clear orders from HQ. It's really pretty awesome. The fact that I check this thread every week when I rarely ever make it is testament to that- just reading the AAR gets me excited! Tip and DBS have done a fantastic job and I wish I could join more often, I envy all of you that are able! PS- I will eventually post a vid of the thrilling Il-2 attack on the landed Ju 52s, I promise! LOL dont be mean to my 111 pilot Hans is awesome guy who pulls immelmans and 4G loops in 111 Seriously tho i can level bomb no problems and can formation fly no problems(many advanced moves up my sleeve have over 3,500 hours in commercial/heavy aircraft so) and work as a team member. I just like dive bombing on WoL in the 111 as higher accuracy (can drop 1t within 10m of target with 500m release 90* nose down)& Faster Exfil (550kph after such a dive) and often im near alone carrying the entire team as a bomber without time to climb to 4K each mission. Also considering the times its all good ill just wake up @ 7am to play :D Happy to take 3rd position in a 111 wing prefer flying right side of formations tho ^ ^ me I registered on battle-fields.com and put in request for 111 Edited February 22, 2017 by =r4t=Sshadow14

Jizzo Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 Great mission again, well flown everyone. Enjoy your weekend, gents!
II/JG11_ATLAN_VR Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Nice Mission yesterday II/JG11PUMA and me enjoyed it much. besides of being shot down in our 109´s the Heinkels Armada made it back home ! here a few pics from our perspective 4
Chief_Mouser Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Cardinal Sin After a successful evening's FNBF, where I avoided being shot down by roaming Fw190s and dive-bombing He111s, I RTB'd along with my two surviving mates at the end of the day's final sortie. Euphoria must have got the better of me... So that's me off to the Punishment Battalion then. 4
216th_Peterla Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 (edited) Hi all, The IL2's made a good job in our first sortie attacking Zety coordinately with La-5, that made a great job doing SEAD and pinpointing some ground target for us. Unfortunately one of the AAA guns get one IL2 before we suppressed it. I end up force land my IL2 due to a prop strike bombing some dugouts but made it alive on the east side of the airfield. My pilot run away to the friendly lines In the second run we aim towards Karpovka, our beloved main base no so long ago. We suppress quite well the airfield but a flight of 190's manage to spot us. It was a frantic fight for survival that didn't end well for us. Coconut was the first to be engaged and he manage to escape his pursuers. 216th_Cat, 216th_Nocke and I tight the formation hoping for survival but it was a lost fight. Jizzo, Schuck and other 190 start their deadly attacks and focus in the last aircraft of the formation(me). It was a crazy cat and mouse game with Jizzo at a very low height above the ground, fighting each second to save my craft. There are some pics that resume our fight. Nocke was killed in a dive when I was thinking that maybe we lost our foes but that was the beginning of the end and only 216th_Cat made it alive. Good good fight and night folks, and very well done to the 190 guys that were patient enough to not made mistakes and get to the proper moment to engage us. Thanks for the cover to the La-5 and Yak guys, they keep our enemies enough to let us make our job. S! Edited February 25, 2017 by 216th_Peterla 5
216th_Peterla Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 (edited) This is a view from the crazy Heinkel intercept. I still don't know what was the reason he was flying that low and with one engine inop. At the beginning I misidentified him by Blue's Pe-2 but then I saw the fighters and somebody reporting that a Heinkel 111 was trying to intercept us but, I guess we cross paths on a very inconvenient way for the He111 rider. S! Edited February 25, 2017 by 216th_Peterla 4
Chief_Mouser Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 (edited) Speaking about that He111, where were you going Sshadow? One engine and heading East with 20 minutes to go. Defecting perhaps? And Tip, those big 1800kg bombs on the Heinkels? Even if we had the Il-4 medium bomber we still wouldn't have anything that could match that loadout. That's one sortie for a Heinkel but three and a half for a Pe-2. A little excessive for the scenario perhaps? Btw, did you get them back safely? We were waiting and waiting for the He111s to put in an appearance and you cut it fine - only twenty minutes for your flight home. Thanks for another great night Tip. Loads of fun, as usual. Cheers. =TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 (edited) They are 2 x 1000kg bombs..Those german bombs use a thick casing and heavy materials while many of the Russian bombs use pretty thin casings this means that Ru bombs have a high TNT to KG Ratio than LW - "SC 1000" 1090 kg general purpose (AP Mass =500kg?/ Explosive Mass =580kg/ Type = Amatol TNT) I Was heading to our target area alone Because There was a server bug while in formation @ 75% power and 75% prop my left engine Just EXPLODED Randomly..i was already 2/3 of way to target and was not going home with bombs on my rack NO WAY!I had to lower my alt and fall out of formation as 111 can only fly 190-220kph with 2t bombs +25% Fuel and single engine but must be below 2,000m(1,500m the engines produce their maximum Horsepower in He-111 while Still Nice Thick Air)But if i was not jumped i was not far from dropping my bombs on target. At the time i was attacked in those pics (#1 engine out) i was only 3-5 minutes from target at mostThanks again tho was an awesome flight and great fun. Norbiee Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 THank you for the fun flight Nil and i had a good time in the ju52s. I would like to thank our lovely FW190 escorts, for we managed to do our job. Also the Yak that shot my JU52 down was a few seconds late as i dropped the last canister already at the point of my death Good game 4
[DBS]Tx_Tip Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Awesome pics and AAR's. Excellent mission and several things happening as per the norm going on at the same time. The overall results of which are clearly discernable by the Chat_Log, tracks along with the hud messages. Suffice it to say well done and well flown all as many objective were met. Perhaps not fully realized during the course of the mission. Mission 53 sets up to be a barn-burner for sure. *Just a quick note to clear any mis-understandings. Bombs were 1000kgs as mentioned above and the Heinkels were made very aware of landing requirements as per the RoE. Excellent stuff. Tip 1

Sshadow made such a huge explosion when he went in they looked much more powerful. And I wasn't accusing anyone about the Heinkels - it just seemed that you were cutting it very fine indeed. We were landing our Il-2s for the final time just a couple of minutes after the factory was destroyed; no chance of us going anywhere again that night. Good planning and flying on the LW part to get the Heinkels back down again. Cheers.

You always tickle every inch of performance out of your Il-2's when being attacked, totally enjoyed that fight there gents! The stall fighting was a bit risky especially the hammerhead move at the end of the fight and i was so scared when the last IL-2 started shoot the red flares of being bounced by the escort. Love the pictures as always, great event.... can't wait for next friday!

Nice mission guys, see you all next Friday! Cheers Biggles What, and missed all this? 2nd Sortie attack on Barrikady Ordnance Factory... The fighter attack and ensuing running furrball as we desperately tried to get to base and land was worth the price of admission. *Operator error, (myself within ME) and a bug which needs to be addressed with the mission overriding server settings resulted in the sight of heinkels having ordnance after dropping on target. Tip Edit. ***As well as the 1st sortie where our escort did a most outstanding job in fending off VVS fighters in another running furrball over the Kalach Marinovka line. Little Friends. Scojo Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 Fun stuff as always. Thanks so much, Tip. After this mission though, I was curious as to why the LW looked so behind on the stats? Barnacles and I only saw a few planes with air kills and no ground kills were added to their stats. Has it always been this way or did the LW fail to hit any ground targets?
