yablos Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Does DCS World uses a 32-bits executable? P3D is mix of 64/32, and yes they has to change it also in their code, because few minor versions back, joy didnt worked at all(wasnt detected as input device = vjoy+ujr was required), not even FFB. After update(my guess is xinput vs dx...), works like a charm. DCS is 64 bit also https://updates.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ Dont ask me if they used some kind of wrapper, dont know, but it just worked.
Noisemaker Posted July 2, 2020 Posted July 2, 2020 Sad to report that since the last update that FF no longer works with this joystick. Was working fine before, but now FF crashes the game on mission start. Ticket opened, but tech support told me to take it up with Saitek. For a product that is long discontinued. I can play the game without FF, but very disappointed in the support, as it was working perfectly before the last update, so obviously Saitek's drivers are not the issue.
=BKHZ=Basha Posted July 6, 2020 Posted July 6, 2020 (edited) Just to clarify you had EVO FF working with BOS ? if so mine never has and with a new PC with a stand alone Win 10 the EVO FF no longer works with Cliffs of Dover either where as it used to work fine with win7 + win10 upgrade. Big Sigh! Edited July 6, 2020 by =BKHZ=Basha

Big Sigh! Yeah, was working fine. I'm still on Win7 though. Worked on my logitech wingman force 3d, too, but was way too weak and made the stick really sloppy. I might try modding the logitech and see if I can increase the FFB, but I'd really prefer to play with the Saitek.

=VARP=Kroat Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 Thanks 56RAF_Talisman, I try my luck with the Saitek and do some testing, but it seems that only BoS crashes when FF is on...... ~S~ On 12/1/2017 at 7:21 PM, ACG_Talisman said: I think it is still an issue, as I still cant get my Saitek Cyborg Evo FF joystick to work with this sim; it works very well for DCS and CloD though. Noisemaker Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 I am happy to report that FF is working again with my Saitek Cyborg Evo FF. Just decided on a whim to turn it on to see if any of the last updates fixed the bug, and apparently it has been fixed!

I have a few of these spare in the cupboard just in case my MSFF2 (+ one spare) pack up on me. I am a belt and braces man, LOL. Happy landings, Talisman
wallycz Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 I know it's too late, but i made a fix for the 64-bit FF driver, instructions can be found here: https://github.com/WallyCZ/saitek-cyborg-ff
Fast_toche Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 (edited) Thanks very much!!! Clarification: I just replaced the SaiQFFB5.dll in the win10 folder. It's weird? You have to check the force feedback, restart. But check it again after restarting and it works. If we don't answer again, the game crashes. Edited June 7, 2022 by Fast_toche
jguerbar Posted June 7, 2022 Posted June 7, 2022 (edited) Hi. Is this fix currently working for you guys? I cannot make FFB on the Cyborg Evo Force to work on an updated windows 10 machine, no luck after applying the fix (had to overwrite SaiQFFB5.dll manually everywhere I saw it on the windows folder, as the powershell script failed overwriting it). Could I be missing something? Thanks in any case for working on this and sharing. Edited June 7, 2022 by jguerbar
Fast_toche Posted June 20, 2022 Posted June 20, 2022 (edited) I manually replace SaiQFFB5.dll in the Windows\System32 folder. And as said above, you have to check the force feedback restart, unhook without restarting and it works for me. Edited June 20, 2022 by Fast_toche

I followed the instructions provided but when i press "update Software Driver" and point to the folder it say that " Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date." I am using Windows 10 64bit anniversary update edition. And i previously to the OS update also encountered this problem with my EVO Force and il-2. But i managed to fix this using a solution provided in another forum. After doing this solution the EVO Force worked fine, Force Feedback work fine, no issues at all. The solution was the following: With regedit, browse to key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER System CurrentControlSet Control MediaProperties PrivateProperties Joystick OEM and delete all keys starting ?"VID_06A3?". Unfortunately This solution don't work anymore after the anniversary update. I delete the keys in the registry and seconds latter they pop up back. IL-2 crash again. Not sure why it no longer works for you, but it does for me on latest win 10. Fresh install with 64 bit drivers, 64 bot software from Saitek. CTD w/ FFB. deleted keys and instant fix.

Freycinet Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 (edited) Ok, I just took my old Saitek Cyborg 3D Force joystick out of hibernation. It lights up fine when I plug in the USB cable and I can feel the force feedback in the stick. However, both MSFS and Il-2 crash to desktop when I try to start them with the stick plugged in. I really hope some of you can help me out. I downloaded the driver from here: https://www.driverscape.com/download/saitek-cyborg-3d-rumble-force-(usb) - Crash to desktop. I then ran this one with Poweshell: https://github.com/WallyCZ/saitek-cyborg-ff - Crash to desktop. So, what do do to cast a spell which will bring my beloved joystick back to functionality? ? BTW, I see no SaiQFFB5.dll in my C:\Windows\System32-folder. Edited September 11, 2023 by Freycinet
Panzer_1marcpowell15 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 im afraid our old saiteks are a lost cause now nothing fixes them on 64bit windows 11 as well as the Logitech 3D force which lost 64bit support on windows 8 which is a shame i really liked their products but they cant be bothered to write a simple set of updated drivers so as Conan says then to hell with them
