VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Two more CTDs in QMB. Both occurred with the following: In what game mode (MP/QMB/campaign/scenario); QMB In what mission; Stalingrad Summer, Spawn grid 449, Time: Noon, Good weather, wind 2ms, no turbulence. Ground targets were present though not engaged. Realism: Custom with the following on; object markers, instrument panel, allow spectators, unlimited ammo, warmed up engine. What did you do before the crash; Had the mission set to myself with 4 other friendly aircraft and eight enemy. Other than myself, all aircraft had no ammo and Ace status.. I was flying a Yak-1 with no mod. Mission started at 4000m, Face to face, 10,000m separation. What happened in the mission before the crash; Several minutes into each mission when the CTD occurred. Had shot down several aircraft. Additional info you think is relevant to the crash. I receive slight hesitations from time to time or when passing head to head with other aircraft. Nocke Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 (edited) So, all of a sudden, it seems I am unable to join any multiplayer server. Tried several, it always crashes rather soon, mostly just when the initial screen showing the map has loaded. Sometimes I get even into a plane, and the program crashes then. Here the dump from my last intent, crashed just after showing the map. edit: in singelplayer everything seems to be fine, though. edit no.2: Seems to be related to having teamspeak overlay activated. If it is activated, any key pressed seems to crash the game.Keeps happening also after updating teamspeak to 3.0.19 edit no3: Its not related to multiplayer. Having teamspeak overlay activated, the game crashes in any situation pressing any key .... Il-2.exe.616.dmp.zip Edited April 6, 2016 by 216th_Nocke

VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 (edited) Crap, I do now. Date.time: April 8th, ~12:50 EDT In what game mode (MP/QMB/campaign/scenario); MP In what mission; Wings of Liberty What did you do before the crash; I had just spawned in for my second mission in a Yak-1. What happened in the mission before the crash; First of all, the airbase was not under attack. Once spawned in I heard mg fire from the spawn point next to me. When I looked, there was no aircraft there. I did not receive an invisible plane message. I thought it was an instance where previously spawned planes show weapons firing at their spawn point although at another location on the map ( I have confirmed this and reported it months ago). I thought I would get a track of it. Right after I started the track I received a CTD. Additional info you think is relevant to the crash. When I looked at the track it shows a black screen with the message Press P to Continue. If P is pressed, nothing happens. MiK684 Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 The problem is likely caused by Saitek x64 driver. If its version is 6.0.1.4, it is unstable. Driver 6.2.2.4 works ok, but it is available only for select Saitek joysticks. Hello and thanks for your answer. I am not sure if it is related to the Saitek driver in my case, I looked into my windows error event note, and the following entry was: Name of the incorrect /faulty Application:Il-2.exe, Version: 1.0.0.1, Timestamp: 0x57066eae Name of the incorrect / faulty modul:pid.dll, Version: 6.1.7600.16385, Timestamp: 0x4a5be03a exclusioncode: 0xc0000005 Erroroffset: 0x0000000000002d52 ID of the incorrect process: 0x13e0 Starttime of the incorrect app.: 0x01d191c75e9df05b Path of the faulty application: F:\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\bin\game\Il-2.exe Path of the faulty modul: C:\Windows\System32\pid.dll Reportid: d95b26df-fdbb-11e5-9868-448a5b9ed5b0 I then runned Dxdiag just to create an info file of my specs for you, and examined, that under the tab "Input" this pid.dll file is connected to my Force Feedback Controller , which is my Sidewinder FFB2. All this i have already send via Support to you, with a crashdmp file and my dxdiag txt, too. Hope it might help. Cheers
SYN_Mike77 Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 I have not been able to complete a mission since the move to 64 bits. I would like to help but I can't find the folders to activate the dump files. Where do I find this log file? 1. To enable Windows Error Reporting, run (double-click) this log file: <install_folder>\data\EnableErrorReporting.reg 2. In a case of the game crash open the folder where crash dumps are stored, you can do this by running this batch file: <install_folder>\data\ViewCrashDumps.cmd
G_GART Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 (edited) Well, i windows 7 these files (EnableErrorReporting.reg and ViewCrashDumps.cmd) must be in where you installed your game, I own only BOS and they are both in the data folder x: \ 1C Game Studios \ IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad \ Dataafter you have enabled them( just double click first in the .reg file then .cmd file) and then you can find the log files insidex: \ Users \ Yorname \ AppData \ Local \ CrashDumps. seafireliv Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 (edited) Getting frequent crashes lately saying: An unhandled 32 exception occurred in IL2 exe (980) Just-in-time debugging this exception with the following error: No installed debugger has just Just-In-Time debugging enabled. In visual studio/Tools/options/Debugging/Just-In-Time. The crash has happened when in the Stalingrad campaign/ BOS 1/ City Assault. Using LA5, taking off from Srednaya. Full or short flight (in fact it happened so much on full I changed to short). Expert. 70% fuel. 350 gun range. Crashed with the error several times when on Full. The crashes happens from the 1st loading screen when going into the 2nd campaign map screen. Changed to Short. Crashed when flying when I had my flare gun out and went into my controls to find the command to put flare gun away, with same error. Also crashes a lot when I try to alter control settings even when not flying. Happening quite frequently. Recent changes to pc: New Radeon latest driver installed night before. p.s. SYN_Mike77 Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 There is nothing in the crash dump collector to send. I am getting a hard freeze in mid flight that is causing me to restart windows. Also, every time I log on I have to uncheck the seed when download option, turn off the music in sound and uncheck the cinematic option in camera. Every single time. This is all after a complete delete and fresh install of the game. I have also updated my Saitek and Thurstmaster drivers. I am at wits end.

seafireliv Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 (edited) Ok several crashes to desktop again today. I will try and list the exact and common points: Apologies for the long post, but i think it`s important so you can understand the exact circumstances of the instability I`m experiencing. 1st observation: The ctds occur always when I got into the settings> key mapping> plane controls and begin trying to alter a setting. 2nd Observation: It doesn`t matter if I`m in the world campaign or QMB, flying or parked or straight into Settings from the start screen. It will 90% of the time crash once I start adjusting the setting. 3rd Observation: It crashes on any attempted resetting of the controllers such as my joystick, yaw and pitch or roll. It will also very often crashes if I try to reconfigure my rudder pedals. 4th. It might crash on adjusting pitch or right down to adjusting the deadzone edges, which seems to trigger it a lot. 5th: The problem seemed to happen more once I purchased and installed a new pair of Ch Pro rudder pedals. They work fine once ingame. 6th Observation: If I play offline completely off the net (disconnected) the crashes seem to happen much less. My controllers I use in case it has a bearing: Forcefeedback sidewinder 2. Track IR 5. Latest drivers. CH pro Rudder pedals. Mouse. Wired keyboard for flight simming ( I have a wireless keyboard also installed at the same time for other work). Wired mouse and wireless mouse. The wireless mouse is always off when flight simming. Now that I`ve written this, it`s dawned on me to try and remove my wireless controllers and see if that improves the situation. That said, I also play Rise of Flight sometimes and have no problems with crashes on that game with the same setup. Here`s the file with the latest crash info that happened after going straight into Settings>Plane control> Roll> deadzone edges- CTD when I started increasing the dead zone, from the main menu start screen. Yak-1 is the main aircraft on the start screen. No aircraft mods. Il-2.exe.784.zip Edited April 15, 2016 by seafireliv

SYN_Mike77 Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 I give up. I've done a complete reinstall of the game. Updated the drivers on all of my input devices and the game still crashes. When I try to send a crashdump file I get the message that I can not upload a file of that type, no matter how I try. Running a game should not be hard work and for me this game is broken since the move to 64 bits. Please NEVER! update RoF to 64 bits!

SYN_Mike77 Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 So I lied on giving up. I updated my Nvidia drivers and got back in to the game. Flew 3 complete sorties with 2 landings and one crash on take off (the plane crashed, not the computer!) It was wonderful, the Moscow map is stunning, the game feels smoother than it ever has! Then I hopped on line (Wings of Liberty) and as soon as I connected to the server, bam complete freeze, need to restart. No blue screen though. And yes I have tried to zip folders to no avail. Here is what happens when I try to get to crashdump files: I click on the file and a command prompt screen opens very briefly and then I am kicked to "my documents" folder but no where in there is a new entry! Any ideas?
Kuion Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Hello, I am not able to launch the simulator. Seems to be problem with 32b/64b system identification during the start. Any help or hint? Thanks.
