4x is too many. You know, it is like that you have a home play on your stadium but decided to change the guest team from 11 to 8 or 7.

Yes i understand you but all issues are happening during the campaign and it takes time (and campaigns) to test and improve everything.

Noone here will accuse the TAW team. We are here to play the campaign. Do we really want (most of the players) just to start the map No 7? I am not sure. Why do not ask the players?

 

My vote is to restart the map No6 (if it is possible to solve the issue with the tank columns).

Is not up to me. You talked about bugs so i just wanted to know what bugs exactly, that's all. On map 8 you will have same situation but reversed.

So, we have calculated to finish the current campaign in one week? (Map 7 in 3..6 days, Map 8 in 1 day). Sad!

 

P.S. I will send my new monitor back to amazon. I will not use it in next 4 months. You will be responsible for that!

I dont see why (of course I see why, you are losing) you want to restart the whole map, since there are no bugs(no more then usual), this is a blue attack map, that means that there will be more blue tanks....read the f*cking manual but let me just do that for you: 

#1 Moscow North – Axis offensive

#2 Moscow South – draw

#3 Moscow North – Allied counteroffensive

#4 Stalingrad Center – Axis offensive

#5 Stalingrad South – draw

#6 Kuban – Axis offensive---->we are here

#7 Stalingrad Center – Allied counteroffensive

#8 Kuban – Allied counteroffensive---->you get more red tanks here

Now I understand clearly what do you mean with the sentence "Axis offensive". Thank you for help. Do you want to ask to modify the manual? 4x tank columns during the mission No2. It will be clear for all players (instead just Axis offensive or Allied counteroffensive).

I vote to restart the campaign after stuff got fixed.

 

With the Hurricane.

 

With the Google sheet to achieve balance voluntarily for the big squads.

 

Let the forums burn, it's winter anyway we could use some warmth.

War. War never changes.

 

The End of the map occurred pretty much as we had predicted. Too many attacks of tanks from blue side, not enough space or resources for reds. The details are trivial and pointless, the reasons, as always, purely human ones.

The red defense was nearly wiped clean of life. A great cleansing, an blue bombs by human hands, quickly raged out of control. Spears of TNT fire rained from the skies. Red airfields were swallowed in flames and fell beneath the boiling oceans. Allies was almost extinguished, and their spirit of victory becoming part of the ash that blanketed the earth.

 

A quiet darkness fell across the Map-6, lasting many hours. Few survived the devastation. Some had been fortunate enough to reach safety,  on the forum, where they continued their war. When the great offline-darkness passed, and the taw-server went up, these forum-inhabitants emerged to begin their lives again in the new war again on new map...

And it all started all over again...

 

War. War never changes.

It's not a problem now? Isn't it? Ships and warehouses have constant spawn places, not dynamic.

Given that the front line was changed (at the start) as above from previous Kuban maps,  maybe the static ships location could be moved more to the rear and less to the side, to avoid this situation.  Seems a good location would be south west of Anapa/west of Gelendzhik.

Tbh it would be nice to see more advanced aircraft / payloads be gated behind the player's experience level, just like its done with 262. (i.e. 23mm laggs, yak9/ts, k4 engine, 150oct, etc. etc.). And the current spread of aircraft could be wrapped up into "tiers" just like right now yak1b and yak9 share the same hangar slot.

Quite the contrary, war has changed. I find the latter to be more accurate in terms of the techniques used to win these wars. Level bombing for example is entirely pointless in IL-2, for why would you waste all that time and effort climbing when you can more accurately wipe out the whole depot by cleaning up the AAA & low altitude bombing it in under 10 min.

IL-2 has proven to me that war does changed, the limitations imposed upon us by the game lead us to adapt, overcome, and to improvise.

Does anyone actually enjoy the campaign? IMHO the first 2 + maybe third maps were fun and interesting, then it all turned into an endless boring swamp.

You can do the same if you learn how to shoot good instead of crashing on enemy hangars like yesterday.
