SC_Manu653 Posted March 6, 2016 Author Posted March 6, 2016 Here is our de-brief. 1. SITUATION: The Heinkell from the KG27 will transfer the 14th PzD HQ staff to Surovkino and will bomb the docks on the Don river at Golubinsky. The Zerosterer from the ZG1 and some Ju-87 will conduct Armored Recon South of Kalach and Lipovskiy area. The Surovikino area and our factory at Verhnegnutov are under heavy threat activity suspected.2. MISSION: Elements of 4./JG52 will provide an ESCORT to the He-111 an 110 and conduct flight operations in the sector of Surovikino and Verhnegnutov.3. EXECUTIONMission 1: 4X109 G2 escorting 1 He-111 toward GolubinskyMission 2: 2X109 G2 escorting 110 toward Novonaksimoskyi.Mission 1:109G2: 1. Manu 2. Neun 3. Hund 4. JizzoHe-111: 1. Cor ZeroMission 2: 109G2: 1. Manu 2. HundMe-110: JizzoDebrief:We took off from Morozovskyi South with our 4 ships formation. We had reinforcement from the JG3 a pilot named Jizzo, he was integrated in the 2nd Rotte under command of Lt. Hund. Neun was my number two. We've got for mission to escort 1 HE-111 from the ZG/1 from Morozovskyi West toward Golubinsky. We made the meeting point over the airfield with the bomber and headed toward a rough heading of 075. The first rotte was making closed escort at 500m above the bomber and weaving behind. The second rotte was 1000m over the bomber acting like an element. Whe we arrived over Surovikino at 2000m, Hund made a visual contact of two bogeys on the deck over the city. The rotte under command of Hund dived on the two contacts, they were Yak. Our element was staying higher and dive on time to break the energy of the Yak. Neun and me figured that our second element had enough energy advantage to anhilated them and we broke the combat to return toward our bomber. On our way we were witness on the radio that Jizzo shot down an Yak and shortly after Hund get the other one. I decide to split the formation, our fuel was below 250liters. The 2nd rotte were staying over the Surovikino area for CAP'ing until our way back with the bomber that our element was escorting. We made a 2nd pass over the bombing area and the bomber decide to land to Surovikino. At this point the 2nd element were already returning home because of the fuel status. When the bomber was landed me and Neun head back toward our airfield and landed. Excellent flight no loss and 2 kills. On the second mission, me and Hund took off from Morosovskyi South escorting a ME-110 piloted by Jizzo. We we're heading South West of Kalach for an armored recco duty. We took a heading of 090 until 2000m altitude. When we hit the front line we headed toward Novonaksimoskyi. We were just above when Hund call me on the radio that a plane was diving on our six. I saw one Yak with a red nose going toward our ME-110 and perch on him. At this moment a second Yak was there and begin shooting on Hund, I try to turn toward him but Hund was already hit. I witness him going for an emergency landing on the open, it was a success. During this time the 110 was firing from his gunner on one Yak. I dove on the Yak ,he was already smoking, and shoot on him and he catch fire and fall in the ground. I lost contact of the 110, he was heading back toward our airfield and was engaged by the other Yak. I finally found my 110 loosing fuel but with a Yak on his 6. I dove on him to divert him, he break off and I sneak under his blind spot and shoot him, he took fire instantly and crashed. The 110 was out of fuel and ditched safely on the ground. 2 planes damaged and 2 kills
curiousGamblerr Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Agreed, lots of fun! I thought we only lost one on the first mission, but I could be mistaken. Shame we couldn't catch that 111. Jizzo- we had two close calls, one of which was me accidentally head-to-head with your 110, bad idea... I think I recorded both, I'll try to post some screens tomorrow. 1
GrendelsDad Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 O yeah I just watched that head on...that was close...and I was killed in first sortie. We lost another yak but the pilot bailed I do believe I am not sure with who it was in the first sortie but I dove on a 109 and we had what I would consider a solid dogfight until I lost him in the fog of war. 3 mins later boom I'm down. Pretty sure it was HUND. Great fight whoever it was.
Napping-Man Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Thanks for letting me tag along, Gents. I didn't contribute much to the war effort, though. First mission as an Il-2 pilot against Surovikino didn't result in any kills for me, and subsequently overheated my engine and had to ditch. Second time up, we hit Surovikino again, and I manged to take out an ammo dump. I celebrated this by screwing up my landing and ground-looping. Also, are those trucks at the airfield invincible? Several of us put cannon shells into the things and nothing happened. Still, fun time for my first MP mission. Hope to do more! 1
Raha Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Yes thanks from me too, I feel it went well for my first time online, once I got my controls sorted that is. I got my second flight home unscathed. Early days for me with this sim but will get some more air time in some other craft so as to be a bit more versitile. Thanks again guys! 1
SCG_Neun Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 I enjoyed the night as well guys....just a great time. Thanks All for participating......
SCG_CorZero Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Thanks to Manu, Hund, Neun and Jizzo for keeping my 111 bullet free! Had a great time with you guys last nite. Tzigy joined me on a second sorty in the 111s and we made another bomb run without interference. 1
SC_Manu653 Posted March 7, 2016 Author Posted March 7, 2016 Sorry CorZero wasn't get the time (and was alone) to support your way back to the airfield !
Napping-Man Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 So, will there be another flight this Saturday? I may be able to make it.
curiousGamblerr Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 A bit delayed, but here are a few screens of Saturday's action. I flew two sorties, both in a Yak as p3zman's wingman. Survived the first without a scratch, but Manu forced me to bail on the second. p3zman and I chasing the 111 before 109s forced us to break off and fight: First close call with Jizzo, thanks to p3zman for telling me to break or I would've been a goner: Second sortie, thought I was chasing Jizzo until it was too late: And then Manu got me while I ran away smoking, frantically checking my map to find my way home: Can't wait for the next one! 2

SCG_CorZero Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Great time again tonight, even earth-shattering (felt a 4.9 earthquake during the match!). Thanks to the JG52 crew for keep us (Hauggy and I) safe in the 111's. 4
SCG_Neun Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 (edited) Wow...I remember you saying that Cor...glad it was not a big one... Also...special thanks to Coconut for hosting SNBF and of course to Tip.....Salute! Edited March 13, 2016 by 4./JG52_Neun 1
JimTM Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Another fun SNBF! I had a good time flying with all the Pe-2 folks and escorts. Thanks to Manu, Coconut, and Tip for making this event possible. Salut! 1
Napping-Man Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Sorry had to bail on the second go around. I'm nursing a bad headache and had to get some meds. Still managed to nurse my broken crate back to the airfield, though. Although I believe CuriousGambler was in worse shape. When he touched down right after me, I noticed his entire Vertical Stabilizer was missing. Nice flying, sir! Had I been feeling better I might have had a go at those 111s heading home at the same time we were (I was in an Il-2).
