Nice...I just cant let go of my sidewinder FF2....but if I did it would be the Warthog.  Especially since I play a bit of Elite Dangerous as well.

SHRAPS I would lead  the PE2s but I am flying with some mates from the 6./ZG1 this week.  now next week I am in to fly PE2 again.

SHRAPS where you headed with those PE2s anyway...we will meet up for some "tea"

FF2 Sidewinder is wonderful. Had it for years, sat in the storeroom for years too. fished it out, still kicking ass! Thing must be nigh on 15+ years old now. It has a Victorian level of durability and strength, something almost unheard of these days!

I do have an eye out for a replacement as I`m not sure how much longer it will last, but i`m holding out for as long as I can!

Is there a minimum number of participants to "enable" a mission, should there be? We've got less than 10 players total so far.

With the limited numbers, we'll probably combine forces and do waves of Il-2s and Pe-2s. So don't worry SHRAPS, we'll all be together watching each other's backs!

 

Edit: To clarify, to I don't mean both planes together, but we can all do separate sorties of each type of bomber

Great flights again, thanks all.  Jade_M and I made a good bomb run in the 88s to Novo  Mak, then he caught a jumper to Sak. to join up with the 110s.  I made a slow return to Moro W., then joined up in a 3rd sortie to attack the airfield.

No confirmed  encounters with enemy forces for us this nite.

I made a video of our glorious Sturmovik flight. With captions explaining the situation as it unfolds.

 

Besides the friendly fire incidents, which probably would have gotten me shot on return to base, we did a pretty good job! Successfully destroyed enemy tanks and cleared the way for our armor, and we had enough ordnance to attack the enemy camp on the other side of the city. I learned a lot about leading an Il-2 flight, that's for sure- next week we'll try to get everyone home!
