216th_Lucas_From_Hell Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Of course. It used the impressive air-dropped kinetic and surface-skimming 250kg Soviet torpedo known as FAB-250!
Skoop Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Pleeeeeease can someone convert the campaign missions to co-op! von Tom + 1 That would be great. With the improvements to the sim, the SP campaign has gotten better. It would be great having a human wingman to team up with while progressing through the campaign. While on the topic of SP Campaign, I'd like to see some light strategic planning functions added to the campaign map similar to that of falcon 4.
1CGS LukeFF Posted February 7, 2016 1CGS Posted February 7, 2016 On the side note, Finns did not dive bomb with Ju-88 even though it was capable of it. They preferred glide bombing style. That's because they found their planes had suffered irreparable structural damage during earlier dives.
LLv24_Zami Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 (edited) That's because they found their planes had suffered irreparable structural damage during earlier dives. Not irreparable but to save precious planes from unnecessary wearing. They even removed the dive brakes. Poor mans airforce have to take these things to account. Edited February 7, 2016 by Zami

I hope soon to see Co-Op with AI in the mix, maybe after they convert the exe to 64 bit and we get dx11? If they upgrade the digital nature engine, still waiting to here if they are goi g to reinvest into their own engine. Edited February 8, 2016 by 71st_Mastiff 1
6./ZG26_Gielow Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 (edited) If people fail to land the 111, landing accidents with the 88 will sky rocket. Most versatile plane ever but not forgiven. It will be fun to see so many crashes Edited February 8, 2016 by 6.J/ZG26_Gielow
xvii-Dietrich Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 I wonder what they will do with the two bomb bays of the Ju-88. They where only for small bombs like 50 kg or smaller. 18 50 kg bombs in the first bay and 10 in the second. But i believe it was not uncommon to use the first bay for extra fuel. Another option is photographic equipment. For example, the Ju 88 D-1 was a photo-reconnaissance variant, based on the A-4. The bomb bays were fitted with fuel tanks and cameras.

It will be fun to see so many crashes I have a lot of room to improve my landings, but the he111 is a pretty easy plane to land. Its the only plane i barely bounce on landing.
Skoop Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 (edited) . Most versatile plane ever but not forgiven. Any word on Ju88 loadouts ? Wasn't there one with the 75mm AT gun like the Hs129 had ? Edited February 8, 2016 by Skoop
Gunsmith86 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Any word on Ju88 loadouts ? Wasn't there one with the 75mm AT gun like the Hs129 had ? Yes but only one prototype was build and it was no success.
Asgar Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Yes but only one prototype was build and it was no success. what you mean is the version with the 88mm
Gunsmith86 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 (edited) what you mean is the version with the 88mm Yes the 88mm Düka was build only ones. For the Ju 88 P-1 precise numbers are unknown at least 3, at most 12 to be as precise as possible: Versuchskommando für Panzerbekampfung - Panzerjagerkommando Weiss An experimental unit for tank fighting, formed in July 1942 under command of Major Hubertus Hitschold. It was based at Rechlin/ Roggenheim. A few Ju 88 P conversions were assigned to this unit in early 1943, along with other types. They tested the 50 mm BK 50, 75 mm BK 75 and 75 mm PaK 40 anti-tank cannons. Operational elements were dispatched to the Eastern Front as Panzerjagerkommando Weiss in Spring of 1943. Commanded by Schlactflieger Major Otto Weiss. The Ju 88 P was soon rejected due to the 75 mm cannons tendency to crumple the nose and damaging the wooden propellors. Unit then used the Ju 87 D and Hs 129 B against Soviet armour. Parent unit at Rechlin was disbanded in June 1943 and the elements at the front dispersed to other units. - Panzerjagerstaffel 92 Some Ju 88 P (Tank Busters) were pressed into service with this unit in 1943 for further experimentation. Intended to be operated in one Gruppe, this project came to nothing. II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Oh my lord. Are we still pining for some rediculous one off AC? The Ju88 will be an excellent fast bomber in the game. She doesn't need any gimicks. I'm all for tank busting and ground attack but let's stick to the major players shall we? 1
Sokol1 Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Middle of this thread the answer for 88' 88/75/50/45/30/20... "not such plans". http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/7-questions-developers/page-42?do=findComment&comment=331382
