On blue side , seems have worst weapons and have more dificults. Its needed for balance, compensate tank kill factor ( for win a map ) with other factors more asequibles for blue weapons ( like strategical objectives ) Maybe me are wrong, but i think its a correct deduction. thx.
JG1_Pragr Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 I think there's big difference between TAW and RE. The tank column(s) is just one of several objectives in RE environment. Each side has to get like five of these points to achieve some advance. Moreover there are some kind of targets (depots, factories) that are more vulnerable by medium bombers than by CAS planes thus the chance of win is relatively well balanced.

6./ZG26_Klaus_Mann Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 (edited) I still hope for: -Cargo Missions for Ju-52 from Rear to Front Airfield and Ambulance Stuff Back Home, putting a Stop to those empty flights between Front Airfields (I mean, what would they have to ferry between two Front Airfields? -Limit for Aircraft available from the Front Line Airfields, especially german Medium Bombers and maybe also Limiting the Newest Aircraft to come each Period to those Rear Airfields, as a kind of Implementation Time for new Types. but that's only silly me. You got 110G2 , Stuka and 2 FW 190 + a JU 88 capable to bomb all tanks on the map with one bomb load. If anyone need help for balance it is Red side. But we do not ask for it, we just do what we can with what we have. And it do work 1

And it do work The difficulty is not with the greatness of the weapons but the balance between the weapon and the armour. LW has glass cannons that fight against T34 and KV1 tanks - very tough armour requiring multiple passes and pin-point accuracy. Low ammo counts also limit how many tanks you can kill. On the VVS side the weaker VYA cannon of IL2 is more than sufficient to take out the thin-hulled PZIIIs that the german army is equipped with. Its a fast firing cannon so you have no problems if you miss some shots and your ammo capacity is much greater than on the LW side.

No joke... look at some of the top player's statistics on the last season's TAW server. 10 tank kills per il2 sortie. In comparison stuka can at best take out 6 with bk3.7 pods and under assumption of perfect accuracy.

This will make Camping and running back to base in 5 Minutes a bit less likely. Good Bombers no Longer fly from the Front. Awesome. The Recon System is back, with slightly longer Mission Times this will work even better. Have to get used to the New Aircraft System. I'm really looking forward to your Plans for implementing different Mission Types for the Ju-52 as well, but so far I really like the Changes. 2

Nibbio Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Think it's bugged. After the two kicks I had no more Pe2. So I tried a supply flight, Pe2 unarmed, full fuel, no modification. It didn't recognize the plane was unarmed and didn't allow me to take off.

If player lost his planes, he could always start from rear airfield (Tushino/Vjazma). But only without modifications! (except heavy aircrafts - they could use mods from all airfields). Later I'll find a man, who have time to translate all of this. 1

6./ZG26_Klaus_Mann Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 (edited) Had some Fun Flights tonight. Flew He-111 and a Ju-52 Random Cargo Mission to a Front Airfield without need and just for Fun. I think if you could Create just a simple Mechanic for Flying a Cargo laden Ju-52 from the HQ to a Front Airfield, Unload there and Fly back to the HQ, that would already go a long way. Things like Medevac Missions, Liason Flights to things like Roads in the Middle of a Forest or Something, Emergency Cargo Drops for Front Troops etc. could be a cool Option as well. Landing Ju-52s on Frozen Lakes near the Front on both Moscow and Stalingrad Map would be Epic. Personally I don't like the Para Drop Missions a lot, because they are both Suicidal and A-Historic. The Ju-52 in the East was almost exclusively a Cargo Plane flown within friendly Lines. But a simple, basic Cargo Mission would be a great Start. Edited March 25, 2017 by 6./ZG26_Klaus_Mann 2

This has happened a number of Times now on Bomber Missions that the Game Crashes after 60+ Minutes. This has happened to 6./ZG26_5tuka as well.
