LOL I appreciate  your choosing of words, nicely put. I do agree with you in so many ways. I just want accept for using it in supply runs within own Airfields, I can see your point and I do respect it if red side loose the JU 52. But you should understand the fact that I am fighting to be able to fly it.

My squad is registered on russian side, it is not easy to change side the way this server runs today. I miss the JU 87 too. Anyway I will not make a fuzz about this anymore. I hope a allied version of a transport will surface soon. In my point of view Luftwaffe got everything, and Red Army do not even get a proper Level bomber, this is one of the reasons I am not flying this game as much as it truly deserve . If I am to fly fighters I might swell fly DCS I like more complex sim flying .

Kuban will change that with its A 20 a bit, still not a proper Level bomber, but it is a improvement

My main problem is that the only one speaking on what to have is Luftwaffe side, and no matter what they got it is usually not good enough. I do not fly fighters, and I have only 2 planes to fly on Russian side. 

 

  The espionage branch of the Luftwaffe is working well.

   

 

 To be honest I would rather they remove the 52 from the server than have the VVS flying it.

Of course! you do not love to fly it... Even if I do not fly a type of plane I care about people who fly it.

This guy was really kind of.... not logical and after he got chased by Russians! , but you get friendly fire even without tante Ju, and I had the German skin so... bug in his pilot's head!

 

I fly on both sides, but most of the time Vvs.

 

If i am on the red side, any ju52 without the special orange skin or the red one, named richtofen, is for me a valid target.

 

Every time i fly the Ju52 on the red side, i take the richtofen red, as i dont have the orange one.

 

I told this trick to a lot of french player, if it's a Ju and it's flashy, it should be considered as a russian plane.

 

If it has a normal german camo, it should be considered as german plane.

Here is the solution:

1- Lock the Richtofen and the orange Skin for Russians, Lock the rest of the officials skins for German.

2-Eventually replace paratroopers for dropable suppy for Russian, it will make a little diversity and would be less questionable to have german troops inside a Russian Tante Ju.

There are still people that can't tell the difference between a Ju-88 or He-111 and Pe-2 and who will teamkill you within a blink of an eye without trying to recognize what they're actually shooting at. I can only imagine what's going to happen if you allow both sides to fly he same aircraft let alone with same skins.

Hey can the LW have the Yak1B's with a custom skin to fly aswell ? Since the VVS has the ju, why not open the whole planeset ? Or give the blues some IL2s. Im sure everyone will respect and use special luftwaffe skins...

I don't know, but i know a good skiner who can do it for them if they need (he had already done one for me for a mission i have done on VL where i need JU52 with VVs skin, but at that time, we only have AI JU52).

I'm sure even if you'd swap planesets some people would complain 'but Luftwaffe has all the goodies!'. There's no way to please everyone but there's always historical accurancy.

Beat me to it. The Russians need a Medium Bomber like the Heinkel as well. It really sucks only getting 1000kg on those Peshkas. 

And of course the germans should get the I-16, because the Fw190 doesn't roll as well as it should.

And if the Russians get the Stuka, the Germans should get some Il-2s, at least until we have the Hs.129

There is a simple solution, it's actually my Signature.

Move all Airfields further back, a good Distance from the Front. 

Create fixed Dedicated Bomber Airfields with forward Flak Batteries to Protect Starting and Landing Planes on the Ends of the Map. Ban Blue Bombs and 2 Engine Bombers from Front Line Airfields, and allow only Light Bombers like Il-2s and Stukas to operate at the Front. 

 

It is ahistorical for Bombers to fly 20km from the Front.

Hopefull I know the names of the guys doing it so I can make the difference... A lot of people cannot.

 

Regading Ju52... As it adds a huge and interesting new gameplay, I am ok if the reds can use it.... BUT : we should make an official request to the devs so the make or add an offical soviet skin.... So we can lock it in server rules.

 

This debate will hopefully convince them to make a Li 2 when they have time !

Until everybody can open mission with editor we wont do it. This ruins all recon significance.

Also, there are freezes when icons appears and disappears on the map.

We made an attemt to make some reconnaissance task - tank regiments without icon at all. But nobody attack them at all. When we set icons for them - they became popular target.

So... we have negative experience with recon.

Or try to find out how much cargo can each plane really haul and use historic data for credits no matter the speed.

 

The PE 2 was not used fr supply runs ever, other than mail if circumstances was given. So historical data just wont do.  Bombload was not entirely based on weight , but hard points and what bombs was available . 

So since the use of JU 52 for supplies are denied by almighty luftwaffe on the historical bases , Russian side should not have to run supplies, since we do not have planes that historically flew transport, for the sake of the almighty history. We should not have the JU 87 G1 not the 37 mm on the IL 2. 

It seems to me the cause of refusing JU 52 is based on petty reasons and selective historical preferences

Air Transport simply wasn't as big for the Soviets as it was for the Germans. Their main means of delivering Cargo was the Railway System, so if you really want a Transport, why not a

Takeoff with a russian Ju-52 with mate for paradrop mission. After climbing to 150m (1min of flight) a russian Lagg-3 came by killing us both despite chat warning.

Yes it is probable not doable having it on Russian side, But I get shot down by friendly in my PE 2, After countless attacks caused the PE 2 sturdiness and my gunners not shooting back he says sorry it is only a game when he see he get punished for shooting down a friendly. So that fact is not a JU 52 problem.

 

I do not ask for paratrooper missions on russian side, mostly because I struggle with the sight of German paratroopers coming out, I have absolutely no problem flying supply missions with it. But I realise the oposission and feelings connecting to it is maybe a price too high. I already pissed off a couple of your squad mates with my opinion, and are really more interested getting friendly again with your squad than having the JU 52.
