How does one go about getting someone banned, the attached screenshot shows a KG200_Chrisrag was shooting flares at my FW190 when he was parked next to me in his BF109 and my bird caught fire and exploded.  It can only have been done intentionally by aiming at my bird and shooting flares, unsportsmanlike conduct blue-on-blue.

Did you guys have any idea of how solving the problem of not having your sorties registered by the server ???

 

Yesterday I had two sorties and the first one which I have attacked a tank collumn and getting one kill was not registered. I should have 3 sorties listed.

My suggestion is to spread more the targets. They are too concetrated making bombers life miserable and a single enemy fighter being able to cover them all in one spot.

IIRC, objects that are "Neutral" don't produce log entries when they are destroyed, so it might be that the destroyed tank's country was set as "Neutral".

Firstly, brilliant server. Love the way the briefing are done.

 

Secondly, I tried to complete two transit missions yesterday

and received "Landed not on airfield". Im pretty sure I landed at the right airfield. Both times I shut down before finishing the flight...

Is there a snag?

 

Finally, I took down my first Heinkel in this campaign. Very satisfying.

 

As for the game itself; loved the fact that I got hit by flak, saw a crack in my wing and thought "that looks bad"!!! Sure enough about a minute later the wing broke off as I pitched up slightly.... Wonderful damage model on Yak1b....

It is possible that if you were slightly too far from the aircraft spawn point when you shut down it counted you as off the airfield. This is a potential issue with some of the larger airfields in the game and in some scenarios. Not sure if that applies to this one, but I tend to try and taxi back close to the spawn point anyway after landing just in case. I believe I read somewhere that there is something like a 1km radius that counts? I may mis-remember though.

Well it really happened to shoot you down with flares.I did not have the intention of course making a friendly kill so please accept my apologies.I didnt know it can be a dame made by flare and I do not think people know about it.So i did throw a flare for my returning bomber ,I mentioned some marks on your plane at my first throw and I did one more to see if it was glare that made that damage.I fly this game over 12 years,been host to many wars in the past ,always fair.No intention for sure to make damege to your plane Hund.

You are not banned. I saw your attempts to fly on plane, that costs more than points you got. Server uses economics model to restrict planes by their cost. Cost is based on aircraft popularity, effectiveness, weight and fuel load.

You have to read server messages in chat.

 

Soon we translate server info, wait some time please.

I found bug reason, when squad credits was always set to maximum value. Problem solved and affected squads credits corrected:

 

1500 points for each squad member and 1000 points for each supply mission made.

 

And Les IRREductibles recieve 10000 reward for their important bug report of a problem!

Thanks Cru for the prompt response.

 

Thats strange, I was not even able to proceed to map/plane selection menu. I click the server, wait for it to load but I am soon back to the list menu.

 

Glad to hear that I am clean.

 

I do admit trying to fly wo credit but sometimes I dont receive that usual text prompt about forbidden flight. I think this is specific to 3 monitor set up (texts are sometimes not shown).

 

In any case, thanks for the great server hosting. This is my current only server to go to.

 

I also wonder if you or 72ag plan to transpose this type of dynamic multiplayer campaign into a single play. I think this exact set up of dynamic campaign on a single player base would really be awesome.

Interesting... I have never been to that airfield before so don't know where the spawn points are. I parked near a static aircraft. Seems a bit silly that the approved circle isn't big enough to cover the whole airfield. I appreciate, if this is the case, it game rather than server related.

Dear DED team,

 

Implement a team stack limit please.

Plying with numbers like this lowers fun drastically for the outnumbered team.

My sorties weren't registered!

 

I am very happy about this as I can avoid showing how deadly the Pe2 is when I attack it in my FW.

 

Great server - keep it up!

Hi .

There is something that worries me, since I happened on several occasions both to me, and to other pilots of my squadron.

We choose airplanes, with their armament, and fuel, but when we press to start it does not allow us to enter the cabin, the only thing we can do is get out and we lose our plane if not even have been in the cabin .....

Is there a solution or someone else happened to you?

We wont change side in the middle of warfare.

 

Because our squad is so big, we often make overblobs unconsciously  :blush:

 

Also we always trying to choose weaker side. But this time many other small teams decide to change coalition as we did.

With only 80 slots it's impossible to play with such a number disadvantage

This server is so much fun when team are approx. balanced (with a difference of 10-15 players max), but such a pain in the ass when it's almost 60 against 20 as when I connected...

I agree to have challenge, but unbalance at this proportion is unplayable, it's not challenge anymore...

 

 

 

And please think on a balance for 2tons of german bombers. You don't want to remove it, okay, we respect your choice. 

But maybe tweak the Soviet HQ or something to be harder to destroy...

 

Some -IRRE- tested, with 4 Jujus you delete the complete HQ (HQ + industrial area destroyed)

And we tested yesterday, we bombed the German HQ with 13 Pe-2s, we only got the HQ destroyed.

Problem is that 4 Jujus is waaaaay easier to assemble than 13 Pe-2s... 4 Jujus can be done by basically every squadron in game on every mission, while 13 Pe-2s (or more if you want industrial area...) is such an organization...

Hi Boyz, i have a little problem pls. I was registred on your sites with email martusi.tabor@gmail.com and all passed but when i type pass and try to login its do nothing and is problem in my email or pass, but i am 1000% sure pass and mail is correct. thx for any answer.

I sometimes have this problem.  When I do I can hear the airfield noises, over aircraft etc but I still see the aircraft loadout screen.  You may have to hit escape then cancel or something but when the Spectate button goes green if you hit it that usually puts you in cockpit.

They just haven't got around to getting that translated and posted yet. For info you can still fly and EMPTY aircraft from one field to another to top up your credits or earn credits for flight time/units destroyed. You get 500 credits for a fighter resupply and 1000 credits for a bomber resupply (Ju-87 and Il-2 count as bombers for this purpose).

Can you please explain the mechanics of the escort scoring sysyem? Does an escort need to do something special in order to earn points from the bombers?

I have impression that most of the time there are no contacts to find (10 ppl per side) and we are bored to death or fights looks similar to ones from berloga server (30 ppl per side). Why i found it that way - enemy airfields to close to each others, close range to targets, very weak AAA, forbidden plane spawn check do not kick you from server???

Hi, firstly I'd like to say thank you and congratulations for hosting such a great server.

Recently however it has become less enjoyable because of the unbalance of numbers, the way I see it, and it will cause some cause for argument, but the blues have the better aircraft, and more numbers, I hate to moan and complain, but it really isn't fun, let's face it, if your flying blue you need someone to fly against, and if the teams are 59 to 21 as they were earlier, or 45 to 15, well how can that be fun for blue? Personally I would always join the side with least numbers, as I've always done.

 

Historically didn't the Russians have more ac in the air in this period? I wonder how many would fly blue if the odds were constantly stacked against them? My bet is not many, is there a way to limit numbers? Per side? I mean, what's to stop it being 78 blue to 2 red?

 

72AG and other large squads, why not split up and fly against each Other? We used to do that in syndicate, in old il2 and rise of flight.

 

Anyway, again, thank you for the great server, I just hope some of you decide to put your selves at the disadvantage for once.

I was Repent's wing man today and while we did have some good fun and even got a kill and some ground targets we were constantly out numbered 3 to 1, both up close and in the server overall. We were talking and remembering that back in RoF when we were one of the largest squadrons we would often divide up and fly against to help even up the sides on our server.  Half the fun was talking smack with our squadmates afterward.  If you are now in one of the big squads, try it, you might like it!

It prohibited the team charter in 72AG. We could not fight against our squadmates. Only on trainings we could do that.

 

The server team will think on balancing teams. We got some ideas to achieve that.

The thing with balancing is that each mission is a snap-shot of a couple of hour period and during such a short time frame there would historically be no way of knowing whether one side or the other would have more aircraft in the air. The same hold true (at a stretch) to the week or so that each mini-campaign takes. Some times one side may hold the advantage for a week or two, other times the other side. I only see there being a problem if the longer term trend over many weeks or months is for one side or the other to win.

In fact if I look at the stats site, I see that since this new format has launched there has been one red and one blue campaign victory. Surely this is too early to talk about enforced balancing at this stage as no overall trend has been established beyond the very short term.

In my opinion, if the server is balanced like 35/45 (= 10 players max diff... maybe 12-13 max, don't know) it could be optimal.

Still challenging, but not unplayable as 25/55...

A malus in point (reduced fairplay index for example) if kills are scored during a period of huge unbalance could probably help. Like a 10 % malus by ten players difference.

 

Otherwise there is already huge drawback playing the most numerous team : plane cost.... I saw a huge difference between red and blue plane in cost (exept yak1b, new plane excitement), explained by the fact red plane had much less take off in the last campaign due to the lesser number of pilot.

 

A pe2 with max payload is still 1000 points cheaper than a 110 with max payload.

 

As for forcing people to choose a side when balance is broken , I am not against as I fly both sides with equal pleasure.

 

But for IRRE_Centx , regarding locking a side when numbers are not equals, it was done and tested on many servers in the past years .... And all server trying it ultimately died or reversed to no restriction.

 

Combat Fly sim is all about squad flying, formation and immersion. If a rule prevent a squad to play as a team, squads will move on server they can play together.

 

And secondly it takes days or weeks to manage an aircraft properly, and not everyone has time to learn to fly both sides. By locking a side, people will just leave if they cannot join the side they know how to fly, especially with the supply point restriction were any aircraft lost is heavly punished.
