Was there any word on the time zone and actual time of access on Tuesday?

Missed the live stream but really looking forward to watching the youtube upload.

 

Any chance we could get a list of key commands please? Give us a chance to make our HOTAS profiles and leave all our time on Tuesday for flying.  :salute:

That was a really informative and wonderful presentation. Thank you for taking the time to put the video in English. BTW, the team shouldn't be nervous about anything. The team will surely have good days and bad days. This is true of every one of us on Earth. Everything should go great on Tuesday, but if there are issues, well, that is just the perfectly imperfect nature of life.   ;)

I am still floored by the fact that basically in less than a year to the day when this form opened up and the annoucement was made public we are getting access to an alpha. This team had a plan and worked it. Way to go.

Thanks guys.  Appreciated the update.  Everything looks good - nice clear and simple.  Fingers crossed that everything goes as planned.  If it doesn't, no worries; just keep plugging away.

Maybe a silly question, but provided we have to create pilot callsign - how do we do that? Use the callsign alone or use the full thing, with the tag in it? Or is the tag itself going to be implemented separately later in the development process?

+1 They really sprinted through a long distance marathon, so very fast. They put in long days and nights, no doubt about it. Getting to access the alpha so fast is quite an achievement.  :salute: MJ

I like the look of the game. The content of it also. I am in known territory and until now everything is logical and similar to ROF.

This two last days to wait seems an eternity! For this last days I am going and imerse myself into ROF or COD.

Thanks to  all designer of this new simulation.  :happy:

BTW I may have missed it in the English version (didn't watch it all) but in the Russian version they said that they're getting it out to a local Russian group this weekend to check the installation works smoothly on all their different machines and to iron out any major issues that arise (they're not expecting any) and if that initial roll out is smooth and they can all connect to the server then the installer will be distributed on Monday evening or Tuesday early am Moscow time.

 

You can find the installer by clicking on your profile name at the top of this forum (NOT YET!).

No, maybe its inside the Top Secret Folder? But I am sure that on Tuesday access with Moscow Time. However spend Tuesday with downloading 4187 MB. If all start downloading on Tuesday be prepare for low downloading speed. I hope that the Server not crash when at the same many log-in to the game?

 

EDIT: BlackSix mention yesterday to post the link for download later. But how later, since the build is finished?

Thanks to LOFT and Zak for yesterday Early Access Basics Live Stream. ;)

 

 

 

 

Yesterday during that Live Stream, Zak had those words about the realism :

 

"... But you need to know that you cannot change physics ..." 

"... But all of these settings cannot do anything with physics. 

The physics is always true, always realistic ...

 

 

 

Zak can you explain and clarify what's the purpose and influence of the simplified physics tick box on the Realism Settings .

 

See the screen below, the first point of the "Simplifications" column .

@cybermat, about thw logo profile thingy....

 

I do too but would be great if it's optional... a setting u can turn on and off. I like my gameview clean, not even a simple hudisplay with speed,altitude etc. I only want to use the planes gauges.

 

Also, when the rift arrives, i would think that that little label constantly there would really look weird in a 3D environmentt.

 

Sure, if u stream your gameplay on twitch i am sure the developers want their logo to be presented as PR , but seriously.. how many will do that?

For the movie guys (me amongst them) u can bet that the firt thing they do in edit work is crop that logo out..

 

So please, let this logo and profile name thingy be optional....

Klunk I'm sure I heard them say that the profile name can be turned off in the full release. I want a clean screen as well.

I personally dont mind so much despite the fact that i am mostly german planes flying. Still i am very happy we actually get some time to just learn how to handle our planes. And for me i will try and use the time in the lagg to learn about my enemys strenghts and weaknesses;) looking forward for next week. And since i am at home coming week i will be able to evey minute af our three days.

Btw. Does anyone know if there is yet some sort of videocapture functionality implemented?

Otherwise ill just use dxtory.

I hope the file will be available to download via a torrent. It would make life a hell of a lot easier. Oh and nice vid guys. Very informative.

I only just now had time to watch the update vid. Great fun - I really like hearing them talk. There's not a lot of pretension going on, is there.

Van't wait to try it out.

 

From what they said in the update, after the early access you will indeed be able to turn off the logo and username, but for now they want to keep it in so they can see who is sharing what. makes sense to make, so that they can have at least a little control over how their product is being displayed while it's still in development.

 

I like the way the HUD info and the map can be toggled through different settings. Clean is best, but it is sometimes handy to have that info available easily and without obscuring the whole screen.
