Shame you dont paint the skin like the original and leave the option / choice to people who use the skin.

But thats your choice as a creator and i respect that but i wont be using them :(

Same although I respect his decision as well.

Well, I not paint swastika, and 1./ZG1 do not use it. But Spektre does paont it, and all 6./ZG1 skins are in correct markings :)

Which is precisely why I use Spektre's skins.

If Panzer doesn't want to paint the Haknekreuz, then he doesn't want to do it. His convictions are his own. Please respect him for it. If you want me to make one, I will, just ask.

Bf110E-2, W.Nr.4430, 2F+GA, Stabstaffel./St.G.3.

This aircraft was brought down by enemy fighters on 1 september 1941, and was cannibilised for spare parts at airfield Gambut, Northern Afrika.

Not some trace of repair, as some areas were overpainted after previous repair with RLM02.

Stabstaffel./St.G.3 emblem is very worn and almost not visible on the photo.

Bf110E-1, W.Nr.3425, S2+BA, Stabstaffel./St.G.77.

This a/c was lost on 26.02.1942 in area of Rowno.

Of note - green camouflage, wich was generally changed to green-gray during summer 1940. But seems, this Mtt-built Bf110E-1 was one of the last "Green" Bf110's.

Thanks for asking, Panzerbar... my suggestion would be for the day Zerstörer / Ostfront, especially the Bf 110 from the "Dackelstaffel" JG5 / Kirkenes (maybe the next scenario ?):

13./ZG 5 LN+MR Theodor Weissenberger

http://img.wp.scn.ru/camms/ar/318/pics/2_27_b1.jpg

or

13./ZG 5 LN+TR Karl Fritz Schlossstein

https://reibert.info/attachments/img091-jpg.3150046/

and of course without swastica ! ;)

Well, both profiles You mentioned are not Emils, but Friedrichs.

Also, I have already painted Weissenberger's LN+PR. Check previous pages of this thread.

But ok, I'll switch to DackelStaffel :)

Ah, you're right... for Weissenberger's LN+MR I have simply posted the wrong link - should be http://img.wp.scn.ru/camms/ar/318/pics/2_27.jpg

Would be cool if you go for the "Dackel Staffel" planes, but please do not forget "my" F-4 skin... ;)

Bf110E LN+LR of Oblt. Felix-Maria Brandis

Bf110E LN+GR of Hptm. Hans Hermann Schmidt

Bf110E LN+ER of Lt. Schlossstein.

May be Franzisket and some other guys will follow.

How do you add skins if you have the Steam version of Game??

  • Upvote 1
Posted (edited)

Go to...

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\graphics\skins

You'll find files there for each aircraft. Download your skin, then place it in the appropriate file. The skin will be available in-game via the paint scheme customisation options.

Bf110E-2, pilot - Oblt. Hans-Hermann Schmidt with his new gunner Fw. Gerhard Friedrich, 1.(Z)/JG 77.

Petsamo, Finnland, 11 september 1941. It was their second mission as a crew, during it they claimed an I-153 shot down. However, it was unconfirmed.

Guys. Before giving You two skins of "DackelStaffel" Bf110's, let me post this skin.

This is a tribute for a brilliant game, wich led me into WW II sims.

War Birds: Free Host server. I know there are some "Alte Hasen" (Old hares) here, who remember that golden age.

Hi Panzer. Your enthusiasm for the 110 is great, thanks. The first thing that I looked at BOK was whether the G was there also thinking of your passion.  I see Osprey is bringing out a book on JG5 109 and 110 aces soon. Its on the buying list.

Any news on the desert ZG26 see post 317 in this forum.

Wish You Stay together, wear a "Wasp" emblem with a proud - sign of elite units of Luftwaffe!

Wespen, Achtung! Beginnen Sie den Angriff!!!! Pauke! Pauke!
