SnoopyPilot Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Great app Magnum! Very well done with a wealth of information. Looks like something the developer would release as an official companion app. Thank you!

I'll try to fix this problem in the next release. Another fix might be to force close the application.
HammerCed Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 (edited) Hi Magnum, The app doesn't work even with IL2 Integrator installed. The app never connects to the IP adresse given by IL2 Integrator? Can you fix it or make a tutorial to explain how it works. Thank you for your time and your app! Edited March 4, 2019 by HammerCed

Do you have, by any chance, multiple network connections on your PC? For example, one using Wi-Fi and another one using cable. I remind you that both your Android device and your PC need to be connected to the same network. If you wish, we can keep solving this issue through private messaging. HammerCed Posted March 18, 2019 Posted March 18, 2019 Big Thank to Magnum who helped me solve my problem. This wasn't an app problem at all! Magnum thanks again for your patience and help! I am enjoying this app on my tablet now!! Hammer
KG66manta Posted April 18, 2019 Posted April 18, 2019 This looks like a great app. Unfortunately my old Acer a200 won’t run it but off to get another tablet. Can’t wait cheers
Dakpilot Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Testing/Using standalone on Sony Xperia XZ premium phone.. Works great, and very impressive! thanks for all your effort. Cheers, Dakpilot
312_JS Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 Thanks a lot! Any ETA on Bodenplatte update, please?

I have the map ready but unfortunately I have reached the maximum storage limit on the server. I will need to use another service for storage. I hope to have it ready by tomorrow or, at worst, Saturday. 1
MAGNUM_PT Posted October 5, 2019 Author Posted October 5, 2019 The Rheinland map is now available for download!
Habu Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Where is the download and do you have Prokorovka ?
Pict Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 The download is withing the app, under settings/maps
Habu Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 Ok, thx, i though we can have it outside the app, which is what i'm looking for.
MAGNUM_PT Posted October 5, 2019 Author Posted October 5, 2019 3 hours ago, Habu said: Where is the download and do you have Prokorovka ? I can add that, as well as the Arras map. But Flying Circus aircraft information won't be included just now. Tank mission planning (if that even makes sense) and tank information will take a long time to come.
ZG15_Steven_McWayne Posted October 23, 2019 Posted October 23, 2019 Hello, I like the Idea to have an App external to plan flights, especially when your fingers are to fat for Missionplanner on a tablet . But i might have some issues. I can't login and because of that i can't synchronize my flight with my mates. I get a error message: "Error:Server error", also i can't create a Account, tells me that it already exists. I installed it on my Phone too, to check for my own mistakes but have the same errors. Also i have a Idea/proposal. It would be nice, if we can synchronize the flightplans etc between your tool and the Missionplaner. That would allow to share to ppl who don#t have Android tools. Also it would be nice if i could save multiple targets etc., like in Missionplanner for later use without a flight plan for repeating maps. p.s. If you want to slap Sofa for his non informative reply on the first pages.. Just do it
MAGNUM_PT Posted October 23, 2019 Author Posted October 23, 2019 Hey Steven! Thank you for your feedback! Regarding the error, I can't find anything wrong with but app BUT I'm having problems accessing the platform where the server is hosted. So, they might be having some problems. I will ask you to try again and, if it still doesn't work, contact through PM so that we can sort that issue out. Regarding sharing routes with Missionplaner, I once briefly spoke of that idea with cirousGamblerr (also to have a common functionality that would allow missions to be loaded from multiplayer servers) but we went no further than that. And it won't likely happen. About saving missions, you can already do that. Once you have your mission laid out, you can click the menu button (the 3 dots on the corner of the screen) and click "Save route". However, you do need to have at least placed the airfield.
WWSandMan Posted December 2, 2019 Posted December 2, 2019 Giving this app a try, as a knee pad map. So far, looks very promising. I find myself often leading a section or flight, having quick access to a map of the area I'm flying is nice. The in-game map functionality is a bit intrusive and distracting. Hoping this will allow easier navigation. Side note... Where did you get the maps themselves?

Most maps were provided to me by curiousGamblerr, the creator of IL-2 Mission Planner. But more recently I started to extract them from the game files using the same tool modders use. 1
IMMENSEMOUNTAIN Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 (edited) Hi, just downloaded the map app and loving the ability to load career missions with the integrator. One small request. The U-2/Po-2 has a very low cruising speed, can the range on the TAS slide on the right of the map be lowered to 100 kph? This would help with estimating the flight duration for this very slow biplane. Edited December 4, 2019 by JakeTheDoge Grammar error

Sudkan Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Hi MAGNUM_PT. I have checked your app in my android tablet and is great. But I have a question... can you create a version for the Ipad that supports the apple pencil?, I usually fly with an Ipad and the first gen apple pencil (I like to take notes of some things and so far no android tablet is as good as the Ipad for taking notes IMHO) It would be great to be able to draw on top of the maps.

Unfortunately, that's not possible. iOS development requires some expensive hardware and the 100$/year App Store fee is not really viable for a free app.
SCG_Rinfret Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Bonjour, I like your App A LOT. I would LOVE IT if I could switch the speeds to MPH. For exemple, flying the P-40E, my airspeed indicator in the cockpit is in MPH but your App give me the stall speed, max speed, etc.. in KM/H. ? Thanks for your great work M. MAGNUM_PT.
Tattvadarzin Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 This is a very handy app. Thank you. I used the measuring tool, got a course and time, followed the course but was way off due to wind drift. Is taking drift into account a possible future upgrade? If not, is there a simple app to calculate a new course based on app-calculated map course, plane speed, wind direction and wind speed?

I'll see if adding such a feature is possible.
Tattvadarzin Posted December 5, 2021 Posted December 5, 2021 Would it be possible to modify the speed for each leg in planning and display it in the gray box? As a bomber I never fly at cruise speed on the bomb run but slow down. Then it is throttle to the firewall for a time, then back to cruise speed. When I finish planning the planning route colour does not change to the flight route colour. Also I can add waypoints and their legs appear in the flight route colour. I think there is no point in adding waypoints after the flight is frozen.
moeburn Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 Is there a manual or something on how to use this app? I can't figure it out. I can draw a bunch of lines on the map and it shows total km and ETA, but that's it? Where is the km per waypoint, or the headings? So far the only way I have found to get a heading on the map is with the measurement tool. And I do not understand the difference between the yellow lines that you draw in "planning mode" and the orange lines that you draw in "flight mode"? I'm trying to use this tool to plan out basic routes for online bombing runs but so far the only tool I've figured out how to use is the measurement tool that draws purple lines. I cant get anything useful out of the other lines.
MAGNUM_PT Posted April 3, 2022 Author Posted April 3, 2022 Hi @moeburn! There is no manual, but I'll try to make it as clear as possible. You can see the distance, heading and ETA between waypoints when you zoom in. The reason that this information is not visible when zoomed out is because the information panels would overlap a lot, making the text difficult to read. I understand that this might be specially inconvenient for bomber runs since they usually have longer routes and having the map zoomed in to see the waypoint information can be somewhat restrictive. I'll see if there is any way that I can make the information visible with less zoom while keeping the information readable. There is no practical difference between the planning and flight modes. However, the planning mode was designed to for you to plan your route and the flight mode was design for you to track your route. This way, you can keep track of your path and mark on the map your last known position so that you can find your current position more quickly while keeping your original planned route intact. In flight mode you also have the timer tool. If you have adjusted the TAS of your plane correctly, you can use it, for example, to measure your progress between waypoints. Let me know if you have more questions! 1

BTW the app is awesome, I just started playing this game online a few weeks ago and it has been a godsend on the Finnish server. Thanks to your app I can fly for 15 minutes and still end up right on top of my target. 1

MAGNUM_PT Posted September 15, 2022 Author Posted September 15, 2022 Development has definitely slowed down, but I'll try to keep the app up-to-date. The Normandy map is now available for download. Hopefully I'll find some time to add the new aircraft to the app. 1 1
Lomaster Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 Switching measure units to imperial in settings only switches km to miles, but the airspeed is still in kph. I wish there was a way to set it to mph.
Shadowed Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Is there any assistance you need to get Arras map and FC planes added? Happy to help! The app works great on my old tablet - Thanks for this!
Bolo_ Posted August 15 Posted August 15 Hey, is it possible to implement setting that show height above sea level ? On the map ? It will be very helpful for bomber pilots to properly set bombsight altitude, like in IL2 map editor ? 1
