ACG_pezman Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Scrolling and zooming in/out very smoothly on a Galaxy S6. Pop-up airfield layouts and plane data working fine too. I can't work out how to add an airfield for flight planning though: I've poked and prodded everything I can see! Excellent app that will prove to be very useful, especially if I can prise the wife's Nexus 10 away from her every now and then . Cheers. tap and hold on the airfield you would like to add to your flight path.
Chief_Mouser Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Aha thanks. That works fine on the Nexus 10 but still no joy with the Galaxy S6. Perhaps my fingers are too fat for the small screen! Cheers.
MAGNUM_PT Posted April 14, 2016 Author Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) Sorry for lack of activity. Development is currently at a very slow pace but I assure you cool features are on the way. Anyway, I appreciate all feedback you guys are providing me. Glad to see it works fine on most devices. Edit: fixed typos Edited April 16, 2016 by MAGNUM_PT
KpaxBos Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 (edited) Hello, Nice app. I have a problem, I always get the message "you must add an airfield first". How do I add this airfield ? Have fun. ok read an answer top of the page Edited April 16, 2016 by KpaxBos
MAGNUM_PT Posted May 4, 2016 Author Posted May 4, 2016 Great news! Hopefully tomorrow I will launch the next update. This will take the app out of Beta and will be published in the Play Store. This update will introduce a completely new feature from which squads will benefit mostly: route sharing. That's right. From now on, you will be able to create squads, invite people to them and share routes with them. This will make it easier for the squad leader to share information with his friends whenever they want to go for a sortie. Aside from this, bug fixes were made and other small enhancements were implemented. Regarding the map, there are no news. I will maybe release a version with the extra detailed map here to test it before releasing it to the Play Store on a later date. 1
MAGNUM_PT Posted May 4, 2016 Author Posted May 4, 2016 As promised (and surprisingly), the app has been published to the Play Store!!! Read the main post for more information. As always, suggestions and feedback are always appreciated. And most of all, thanks for all the support you have given me until now. 2
Jade_Monkey Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 (edited) Thats great!! Thanks! Im not familiar with app development but is there a way to adapt the app for those who use large fonts on the phone? Some things may look different than originally intended. Edit: typo Edited May 4, 2016 by Jade_Monkey

SvAF/F16_Goblin Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Excellent I'm eagerly awaiting more maps. Think you should have a donation possibility.
MAGNUM_PT Posted May 5, 2016 Author Posted May 5, 2016 (edited) Thanks for all the support guys.Regarding maps, I will add them as soon as I find the required resources. The same goes for the BoM aircraft.Regarding donations, I thought about that. Not because of the effort I put into it but rather because of the server costs. I'll take a look into that. Hey there- I make il2missionplanner.com (basically the same thing for web but with way less features at this point). I think your app looks awesome and would probably have never started my site if I had owned an Android device and could just use yours Anyway, if you need the Battle of Moscow tiles, let me know! I have the originals. Same goes for V. Luki and Stalingrad maps. Cheers!
SvAF/F16_Goblin Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 I really like this app. Simple to use, good functionality and with my 10" tablet on a stand beside me it's a great aid. One thing though that I'd really like to see is grid numbers, that would be a very helpful addition in quickly correlating in-game map with the app.
MAGNUM_PT Posted May 6, 2016 Author Posted May 6, 2016 Thanks a lot for the support guys. Anyway, if you need the Battle of Moscow tiles, let me know! I have the originals. Same goes for V. Luki and Stalingrad maps. I just took a look at your app and it looks amazing! Congratulations! Since the style of your maps don't quite match the one I use, I will try to search for one that is similar. If I can't find one, I will gladly accept you help. I really like this app. Simple to use, good functionality and with my 10" tablet on a stand beside me it's a great aid. One thing though that I'd really like to see is grid numbers, that would be a very helpful addition in quickly correlating in-game map with the app. Regarding grid numbers, this has already been suggested. However, the map I use doesn't have the grid properly aligned and they do not reflect the grid we see in the game. Give the two situations above, I will probably switch the map I use currently. However, as discussed already, it will use a higher resolution map which will lead to higher load times, probably lower performance and exclude some devices.
mort Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Handy tool. I've got some airfield name display issues on a Nexus 9. Screenshot attached. Unrelated, any plans to open source it?
mort Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 I've got some airfield name display issues on a Nexus 9. Screenshot attached. Same thing on the same airfields on a Nexus 6P as well. 1
MAGNUM_PT Posted May 7, 2016 Author Posted May 7, 2016 That is not a device problem. It's the map I used that simply doesn't contain all airfield names. Regarding open source, I thought about that. But not for now. Also, I'm a bit ashamed of the cruel code involved in some parts.
MAGNUM_PT Posted June 18, 2016 Author Posted June 18, 2016 Unfortunately the server used for route sharing is currently down and will be for about 2 weeks. Sorry for any inconvenience it may cause. Meanwhile, app development is paused but I will resume in a couple of days. Expected features include:- BoM map - Higher resolution BoS map - Increase in performance - Updated UI for tablets - Super secret stuff for single player (no promises on this one) 2
J37_Spyboy Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Lot of work gone into this, will it work on Amazon Kindle?
MAGNUM_PT Posted June 22, 2016 Author Posted June 22, 2016 Lot of work gone into this, will it work on Amazon Kindle? Yes, it will work but you will have to manually install the app as it won't be made available in the Amazon's Appstore. If you want, I can give you a direct link to the APK file so that you can install it manually.
MAGNUM_PT Posted July 4, 2016 Author Posted July 4, 2016 The server is back online. Hopefully, no more downtimes will be present for the following months.
ZZ15_dasSofa Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 didnt like it much. its to complicate for a quick overview so i prefer the web edition.
MAGNUM_PT Posted July 5, 2016 Author Posted July 5, 2016 didnt like it much. its to complicate for a quick overview so i prefer the web edition. What exactly did you felt that was over-complicated? Any suggestions as to what can be improved to create a better experience? And thanks for the feedback!

Lemmi Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Can we have the .apk w/o the need of a playstore account ?

=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Is there anyway to Emulate Android on Windows so i can run this on my little laptop next to me?or will it only work on those table toy things.
MAGNUM_PT Posted January 2, 2017 Author Posted January 2, 2017 Is there anyway to Emulate Android on Windows so i can run this on my little laptop next to me? or will it only work on those table toy things. I'm pretty sure you can use emulators to run this. The Android SDK offers emulators but these are generally targeted at developers, or you search for third party emulatores. Genymotion is a very good one. But if you are looking for a Windows solution, take a look at IL-2 Mission Planner.
