216th_Lucas_From_Hell Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 The U-2 is perhaps the best single addition to this game It was used in huge numbers, did everything from training to bombing, and served all the way from the first to the last day of the war in every single theatre. The Lisunov, though less globally present, was also a constant in the sea of variables that were Soviet inventories.

We need another engineer to build the FMs and that will be the slowdown. it's just not easy to find a qualified and motivated person who can work in our office in Moscow to learn this specialized trade. What I hope we can show tomorrow is not exactly huge, but a cool thing. Jason I assume that Mr. Petrovich all available time (in this year) was used for new FMs that why you must assign FM job to other person?

I'm not giving an important plane like the Hurricane to a new team to build when they have a perfectly good Po-2 in a museum right next door they can use as a reference while they learn our system. You don't know our plans or our reasoning. Why don't you ask why instead of trying to give us crap for our decisions. But also ever think that our Russian customers have a particular affection for this plane?? You know where the product is made? Might sell a few copies. Jason yeah ok I got what you mean so sorry for the harsh text. I just wish we had some more fighters or big bombers like the IL-4 thaz would be nice btw I dont like bombing but I like to destroy them ^^ I will still buy all planes/missions whatever I dont like just to support your great work ^_^
Hoss Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 (edited) Besides the Po-2, and Li-2, I'd also like to see the Tu-2............ but since we are getting the A-20 that will make two twin engine bombers for both sides......not counting two Bf-110's. and Hs-129.. you can attack with all of those. Maybe getting torpedoes for the Axis and Allied bombers would be nice.............. they are going to have to be modeled sooner or later......... can't have a Midway scenario without them. Besides that, the air war on the Eastern Front just doesn't look right without the Po-2/U-2. They were everywhere, pressed into all sorts of roles right up till the end of the war.

The one thing that let down the RoF career was the very minimal number of aircraft and objects in a mission, so any ability for players to set the intensity to suit their computer's capabilities would be very welcome indeed.

What will be about this aircraft in BoX, that will depend on how much you will give it purpose in mission making. So far, also the beautiful Tante Ju is not included well or to the extent it could take part in the mission making. But if you give it propper missions, also online, people will fly it. It might also attract a new set of players, other than the 109 fetishists. It can help the game as a whole. That is what it is about this old and slow aircraft. Edited October 13, 2017 by ZachariasX

Flying in the underdog role is very appealing and the outcome sometimes quite surprising. Just yesterday I got bounced by a Yak on Coconuts server while I was traveling with my Hs-129 to the front. I guess the guy was to self confident as I managed to shoot him down.

Trooper117 Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 Po-2 has been asked for many times... it's an iconic aircraft for the Eastern Front. It will also add to the campaign more mission types and challenges for on and offline flyers. Another biplane that is sorely missed is the I-153, like the I-16 another iconic plane for the eastern front game. Hopefully with time it will also make it's way into this great game! 1
