The developers have given up on air combat sims as too much work, and have instead been creating a game involving three Latvian firemen, an octopus, and a telepathic rat who squeaks in Morse code. You play the part of one of the firemen, as they all travel through Riga's sewage system, looking for a horde of stolen gold left there by Germans fleeing from the advancing Soviet forces at the end of WW2.

Pe-3, Bf-110F-2, A-20G, AI B-17, some Finnish planes, and a WACO glider and 2 FC scripted campaigns.

I would like to think that for Great Battles will be a late 1944-45 Eastern Front map like Balaton or Vistula-Oder Offensive or the Battle of Berlin, but realistically I think a map somewhere north of Leningrad on the Finnish front seems more feasible, along with some Finnish planes like the Brewster Buffalo and Fiat G.50 to name a couple. Such a map would require require less work that a map of heavily populated areas, and you wouldn't have to worry about slower frame rates. And rumours say that a Finnish third party team is making a couple of Finnish Air Force planes for the Great Battles platform, and the dev team have demonstrated their generousity in finishing third party projects. However, one thing does not add up. It has been said on this forum that the dev team are not going to have Finnish voices in Great Battles. But that could be subject to change, so who knows?

 

If I were a betting man, I would put money on that a Finnish module north of Leningrad/Karelia is next.

Korea: probably a release date or some footage that has more to do with the actual fighting (since we've seen the models, the FM, DM, map etc.)

GB: hopefully confirmation of continued support in the line of "we'll keep fixing bugs/problems, don't worry", best-case scenario maybe some possible improvements to the present stuff (improving the Rheinland using WW1 map as reference, slight upgrades for visuals like older cockpits).

Maybe some of the future collector's planes (G.50 maybe? or perhaps plans for B-25/26)

IL2 GB modules and planes can be ported to Korea on day 1, allowing all the features enhancement to be enjoyed for everyone that owns IL2 GB and Korea.

I think there is a B17ai (for the western front) and a late war module (to complète the Eastern front) 

If you put them together we could have a Lake Balaton map like in Forgotten Battles 😅...and I'm sure there is a Bf109g10 ...

What seems likely:

With the new forum launch, we'll see at least a real trailer for Korea, if not a release date along with it, maybe even a shadow drop if we could be so lucky.

 

And maybe the release of Leningrad. Maybe even Siege and Liberation full release but probably not since we just got a big update. 

 

What I would be very happy about, but seriously doubt:

WW1 Channel and float planes, or heavies for GB

 

I will say though, you guys rarely disappoint, so I'm excited to find out regardless.
