Yes has been confirmed and goal is by end of the year release. It is in one of the recent updates /announcements.

They said "Also, 1C Games Studios and Ugra Media have entered into an agreement to develop the third part of the project - Flying Circus Vol. III.".

As I understand, they have an agreement so I think that's as good as a confirmation.

So sad to see this big decline in communication from 1C since Jason left. I used to eagerly wait for DDs, and they sure pushed me to buy content for the sim hopeful it will help the team to build even more stuff.

 

Now with this new management statements are vague, we do not know the future of the sim, and I just do nothave any trust my money will go towards improving the sim I love so much. Actually, I have the feeling that this 'new project' is going to be something similar to War Thunder now that Tencent is on-board.

I love DDs because they really make me feel that the game is "living".

Also, they are some kind of a source of inspiration for new games, campaigns ...

My conclusion is, they are working on a completly new titel, not compatible with the current stuff. So they monetarise planes like 109G6 to finanze the new project.

But they don't announce it to keep the cashflow going. 

No idea why they don't do it like DCS and build a new engine to implement the current stuff and you don't have to rebuy it again and again. maybe you can get a discount but i'm not believing it.

They said they got criticism before because of taking pre-order money a long time before the aircraft were ready. Change now - they will open pre-orders nearer the time the aircraft will be ready.

 

Proves yet again though that they're criticised either way.

Old way get you money early and keep players informed and look of progress, new way does nothing positive.

So if you know youll be critic either way, old way looks better.

There's no point in getting needlessly flustered about it. The new way is to provide updates when something's gonna happen. The old way is to excite people weekly about something that may .... or may not happen as it turned out on occasions. It's meh to me and unimportant. Taking out the garbage weekly on the other hand is important.

Actually taking out the garbage is the high point of my week.  Every other week when it is also recycle week is off the charts!!

At the end of 2022 and the beginning of 23, i was very optimistic, but after nearly 4 months of silence, in comparison with the very informative and communicative past with the il2 brand developers, i don't see a light at the tunel anymore with BOX.

Lag of DD's, no statements or infos, a bit sad

To be fair we’ve had FC2 released and the announcement of FC3 in the last couple of weeks and the release of the bubbletop spit. I agree though, nothing on the new project is a bit of a worry. And development of the WW2 side of things seems to have stagnated.

To be frank, the only thing we should care is the sim quality.

 

That means: what is released. Everything else for me is just a bonus. It was nice when we had it, but I am not going to get angry for not having it. Thank god some people didn't "use" another sims in the recent time. They would be nuts because of the lack of "DDs"

People keep forgetting that this is a tread based on those times we had weekly DD. And was mostly humorous. 
It is as useful as a training treadmill brought to the front with a infantry unit
