Nah, it's past 8 in Moscow. No way there's an update for the next 12 hours.

Tomorrow might be the day though ?

That is our future.  Old people love to stop, turn and stare at construction sites.   My wife didn’t believe me, until she saw this and sent it to me.

Hace 1 hora, Vishnu dijo:

Ese es nuestro futuro. A los ancianos les encanta detenerse, girar y mirar las obras de construcción. Mi esposa no me creyó, hasta que vio esto y me lo envió.

Once you see this you can’t un see it.    You’ll actually look for them at all construction sites.

It's not so much that the construction is interesting, but rather the nostalgia for what the construction is changing/replacing.

When you get to my age (68) you will understand.

Be sure.

Nah. They are retired and have the time to sit around looking at things. younger people are constantly running these days.

Sii sicuro.

In Italy we use the term "umarell", which has a particularly affectionate meaning.

Umarell are men of retirement age who spend their time watching construction sites, especially roadworks – stereotypically with hands clasped behind their back and offering unwanted advice to the workers. Its literal meaning is "little man". The term is employed as lighthearted mockery or self-deprecation.

The actual D-Day was on a Tuesday so it would've been kinda cool to get it today... but I'm guessing the wait isn't too much longer, we'll see....

It's an odd period of life. I hopefully look to the future and all it promises. And yet, I long for the past and all that I knew. It's strange, like I'm lost in time somehow.

I’m 54.   And believe me.   We will do it.   Not yet.   But soon.    And it’s terribly sad if that’s all that excites your walk…

I will spend my retirement very slowly driving to the bank, post office and network provider centers with a bland and lost look in my eyes while employees trying to exoplain simple functions to me (like bluetooth function and turning off tv)......making young ones late to the job and crating angry crowd behind me.

In the spare time i may play il2 ramming ppl on the runway and shoot friendlies in MP.....and when not grumpy writing srry in chat!

Karma is an evil [edited] Try not to provoke it. .02

The future is impossible to predict.  You could spend your "retirement", partially paralyzed, recovering from a stroke, or battling cancer.  And of course as and older person, you'll get to listen to someone with very few life experiences, telling you how smart they are.  Life is interesting, and full of irony.  Unfortunately, most of the really valuable lessons are often learned to late to make a difference.

Good luck to you in retirement!

WORK!  That’s a four letter word and my Mama told me not to use four letter words. Besides at 75 I don’t remember work anyway.

And how old are you? Thanks for that uplifting message of hope. So much for the golden years.

Turning the big 65 in a few days. Actually looking forward to it. I used to dread the idea of getting old, but I'm still in reasonably good shape, more or less self aware and have most of my own teeth. Hopping on the S.S. train in a few months. After a lifetime of working (47+) I'm  anxious to start getting back a few extra bucks after paying in for so long. I'll still work as I don't want to melt into a chair til I die as I can sometimes be prone to do. I've got a wonderful family that I'm proud of. Two beautiful little granddaughters I adore and two little grandsons waiting to hatch. Life is pretty good right now, for all the anguish in the world that is. It is nice to see so many other senior citizens here too still playing games and simming. On that note, do you think we'll ever grow up???

As someone not fully familiar with U.S. abbreviations, I had to read this a couple of times before I understood what you meant. The "other" SS train is not one I'd ever wish anyone to hop on to ?

It looks like it will not be for today either. We hope the update did not catch the S.S.A retirement train.

But do you stare vacantly into construction sites, reminiscing about the way you used to do it?   It appears that it is only a senior retired guy thing.

It was a joke, i don't mind old ppl living their own,  maybe we should learn something out of it and slow down a bit.....

I hope i'll taste retirement decently healthy and enjoy hobbies.

Stay well, all of you?

Hmm, and the Standard Edition has also become available. I don't think we'll see the release today yet since it's well past working time in Moscow, but it gives good hopes for tomorrow ?
