Hurricane perfectly fits pretty much anywhere except western Europe 1943-on. Hurricane was responsible for 2/3rds of ALL EA destroyed in the air by the RAF during ww2.

Battle of Britain is not the entirety of WW2. And 55% is not 2/3s.

Don't believe I implied that it was.

No but 66% is.

Tiffy and Mossie are clearly the important aircraft for Bodenplatte, plus for campaign action before and after that operation

Why should we get aircraft not really fitting the scenario? P-61 would be the way to go! :P

I can only "like" this once. But a P61 would trump just about anything my 9 year old self could imagine. How about asking Asgar to forego his 410 claim and allow the mossie and P61 is we promise to let him fly them every 3rd Sunday?

Your history is very wrong. Hurricane was 2/3 of fighter command in 1940. It didn't shoot down 2/3 of all enemy aircraft claimed by the RAF from 1939-45. The Hurricane was verging on obsolete in 1940, very obsolete in 1941 with the introduction of the Friedrich and worse then foreign aircraft like the Tomahawk in the Desert. It was pretty much removed from service over the channel in 1941, got slaughtered in the Pacific by the Japanese, and was relegated to a ground attacker in the secondary front called the MTO.

What on earth would I do with a P-61...

''P-61 eFiling. Welcome to the P-61 E-filing project. The Real Estate Transfer Tax (RETT) is not a property tax. It is an excise tax on transactions involving the sale of real property where title to the property is transferred from the seller to the buyer.''

Yeah, that would be a bit bizarre. Also, 1940 claims per loss were far more in the Spit's favour.

I would not say no to a Hurri though, after the Mossie and a few others

The more I read this topic,

The more I feel we are like kids before Xmas day speculating about what we will get,

And Jason is Santa Claus.

Amazing,

Finally I am 6 years old again!

That's why Soviets invented GULAG - so no a vacation would go unproductive... ;)

I get that one too. About 75% of the time I deflect to “nothing” or “email”

You’d think she’d get bored with my answers by now.

Ah, that strange time of the week when it is both early AND too late.....

I've taken tomorrow and Friday off for no reason other than to get some stick time. Fingers crossed the sun stays behind the clouds...

I'm looking to branch out from my Yak/A20/Spit/109 comfort zone. Any suggestions?
