In his Steam announcement Jason mentions version 3.04 will be released around the middle of this month. Apart from all the Steam gubbins what else will come with it? Surprise P47D release?

I wonder whether the devs will want to get version 3.04 out as it contains for them a major technical update in regards to Steam - plus the usual bugfixes, updates and perhaps a new 'plane or two, so they can then clear the decks for a major Flying Circus/Tank Crew announcement, pre-order, etc.? I'm still hangin' out for the P47 though!

You got me all H Y P E D!! Releasing the Jug and A8 at the same time would be pretty sweet, they are pretty good rivals and faced each other lots of times during the war.

It adds a sleekness to the 190s that the flat canopy just doesn't for me. I'm hoping against hope it will be a P plane this time but I know it's a long shot.

I’d like to have a taste of them ww1 planes or some updates on the po2... but first off fixes for exsisting issues and graphical irregularities....

Blown canopy on 190 simply takes away it's sharp aggressive lines, it's ruggedness and masculinity if you will! Even (or rather especially) with Doras I prefer the old, non-blown cockpit.

Next in line after that if I'm putting money down, the Jug...next that is, but not soon. The Jug is the simplest 3D model you can ask for (externals) with regard to WWII aircraft, but the cockpit always takes a while. Then there's all the LOD"s, flight modeling which is the real work...we'll have to be patient.

The engine and it's systems are the main reason I think it wont be too soon. So many variations of things to consider and model, imo it is one of the most complex engines that will be in the game. Manual turbo control, auto turbo control, WEP with water, WEP without water, manual water control, auto water control, engine power limits, etc. It's going to be a beast to add to the game and it will be a beast to fly and manage.

Agreed, it will be so nice to fly a P-47 with a great looking cockpit for once, flying 46 and even war thunder is just an eyesore.

I reckon they're going to be too busy preparing for it to give much thought for a DD. Jason's announcement about Steam account integration did drop a spoiler though. Next update is pencilled in for mid June.
