Grancesc Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 BoS is with regard to graphics, flight models, damage models, flight experience and realism by far the best product of its genre. Unfortunately, it offers the largest community of flight simulator enthusiasts, namely the SP-community, only a poor and boring SP-campaign. Although this deficiency was recognized at 777 Studios/1C, with this DD once again an opportunity was missed to give this large fan base hope. Not a word about the plans or progress of a new campaign - a pity. I will soon get out of this simulation. Maybe I'm the first to give up because of this but I am convinced that many will follow, if something does not change soon. 5
6./ZG26_McKvack Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 A question about the memorial in Volgagrad. Is there also memorials for the germans or is it only for the russians?

StG2_Manfred Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 I know you are probably focusing on BoM... but are there any updates to the overall game engine that will come out before BoM is released? The I-16 looks good.. I look forward to flying that and the P-40. Exactly my thoughts! Would be nice if they would share their considerations with us. Thanks Zak!
Grancesc Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 In the meantime check these out http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/14893-missions-sharing-corner/ http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/13912-veteranenmissions/ Cheers Dakpilot Yes, I know the efforts of the SP-community to supply the patient with oxygen in order to keep him alive. With all due respect for the excellent work of Veteran66, SYN_Haashashin and others, these missions are no adequate substitute for a full-blown campaign. Where are the career system, the immersive storyline and all other small details which make up a good campaign? Why can’t 777 / 1C put e.g. "Andrey's Life" and "III. / JG3 over Chir front" into the box in the next update? Why is CoD at all still alive and why is ROF still so popular? Because they offer professionally made campaigns. 2
Danziger Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 I wasn't that excited about the I-16 originally. Those screens got me really excited though. It looks amazing!
Blooddawn1942 Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 110 would be great! Also I am looking forward to See some shots of any of the Cockpits!
1CGS LukeFF Posted May 24, 2015 1CGS Posted May 24, 2015 A question about the memorial in Volgagrad. Is there also memorials for the germans or is it only for the russians? There are German graves in those pictures.
Luger1969 Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 + 1 for P40. The I16 looks great. Also was not much interested in it, but now no ways that I am not going to fly in it. Really looking forward to the next few months.
SYN_Mike77 Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 110. Keep the rotation up, New Soviet plane followed by new German plane, Rinse and repeat. Do the variants last. 1
-TBC-AeroAce Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 I just had a random thought. Will BOM planes be able to be visible online but not flyable to non BOM owners I.e the same way the premium planes treated now 1
BraveSirRobin Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 110 I just had a random thought. Will BOM planes be able to be visible online but not flyable to non BOM owners I.e the same way the premium planes treated now Hopefully the BoM planes will be invisible to people who haven't bought them. It will make it a lot easier for those of us that bought BoM to get kills. 1
BraveSirRobin Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Yes, I knew what you meant. Of course they'll be visible. MP would be impossible if they weren't.
Sturmalex Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 [pictures] You know whats creepy? That is my surname "Büttner".... 1
-TBC-AeroAce Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Will we be able to play BOM planes with BOS ONLY PEOPLE! DONT TROLL ME LOL
Porkman Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Several of us have brought up the question of how multiplayer will be treated once BOM is released in other threads. I for one am very curious, and am awaiting an official answer before putting any money into BOM.
StG2_Manfred Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 For me it would be more interesting which other MP improvements come along with development of BoM, like better statistics, kind of HyperLobby, maybe a SEOW system etc etc :-)
6./ZG26_Emil Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Will we be able to play BOM planes with BOS ONLY PEOPLE! DONT TROLL ME LOL I guess if it's like ROF then it should be fine. You can fly against them but not in them unless you've bought it but clarification from the devs would be good.
Zak Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Will we be able to play BOM planes with BOS ONLY PEOPLE! DONT TROLL ME LOL Yes, you will be able to fly BOM planes along with BOS players in MP.
Livai Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Yes, you will be able to fly BOM planes along with BOS players in MP. If I am able to fly BoM planes along with BoS planes. BoS is a different timeline some planes there are updated. That means we see a Mig-3 with the AM-38 engine?
Finkeren Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 If I am able to fly BoM planes along with BoS planes. BoS is a different timeline some planes there are updated. That means we see a Mig-3 with the AM-38 engine? Of course not. Just like you won't see Yak-1s with an M-105P engine to fit into a 1941 scenario. Plus, with a maximum of 80 MiG-3s actually being converted to the AM-38, you're talking about a really obscure aircraft (even if it was somewhat representative of the very few MiG-3s that were still in frontline service in late 1942)
69th_chuter Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Looking forward to seeing the Me110. (Why "Me"? Because that's what the Germans' outside of the RLM building called it, much to the chagrin of some notable people within the building.)

Amen-Here's hoping someone like Desastersoft might get pulled in to help or Veteran66 with more of the great work he has already done ( I only wish I could get mission stats after his long flights & fights ( A sceenshot of one of his pages from a pay-for campaign) I really love the eye candy of BOTH BoS & CloD,but I play CloD much more often because of its many SP qualities & yes I do get a bit tired of flying over snowscapes.I really have elevated hoped about upcoming seasonal maps & hopefully new Official & third party campaigns that will take advantage of same...On yes and upcoming BoM! FYI Murmansk Campaign in CloD Interesting differences in snowy landscape: CLoD discussion goes here http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/20-other-1c-game-studios-games/ or here http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/19-free-subject/ Edited May 25, 2015 by Zak partially offtopic

Doesit work pretty well? My point is :I wish the developers at 777 could simply make it a functioning part of "Missions".How hard can that be? the old Il-2 had it as does CloD & most of the careers & campaigns in RoF include stats ( although if I recall correctly this took a while before it functioned.) ( having said all this I do have to admit I rarely return from some of Veteran's missions , because of the beehive of Russian foghters I sometimes find.Stats that tell me :You are dead, aren't really all that necessary...)
