^^ hm...

Isn't this a personal attack Jason has warned about?

That only really counts when it's someone critical of the game and/or a whiner  :salute:

Which makes perfect sense, I might add, as infuriating as it may be for others.

At this stage I just can't bring myself to do it.  Maybe I will at some point I really just don't know.  I still feel we've had the run around over the performance of the 190.  I fly against Yaks and LaGGs which have not much better than half my horse power and yet they essentially perform as well or better.  Well, that's just not what history tells us should happen so I feel frustrated about that.

The 190 is currently better than is has been at various times previously but essentially it really just seems to have the same performance as the Russian aircraft but without the climb, turn or acceleration.

Just pre-ordered. Thanks to the team, I like how you are upfront about the roadmap, and keep delivering!

Ordered - Do I have to activate the key already or is it better to wait until its first parts get available?

I also don't have the tag added. What do I need to do?

you want us to sink another 80 bucks on top of the 90 you got the first time?

for a game we barely play due to it being a completely mp-centric experience?

no thanks.

Who is this 'we' you speak of? And yes, it's quite customary for companies to charge for the work they produce. ;)

Don't argue with we, just let we leave quietly.

Well I'm part of we.

In its current state this game sucks for offliners. The only reason to buy in to BoM is hope that the community can make something like dcg, because the devs have made what is probably the worst sim ever for offline play.

It's a tough one, especially with the Canadian dollar tanking it's even more expensive for me.  Would be nice, I'm getting tired of the Stalingrad winter - maybe it's the long winter here?  :)

I like to support games like this...

I am happy some new content is gonna be put out but I think I am gonna pass as the price is pretty steep for a map which won't add much to the BoS experience and a set of planes of which almost half are mere variants of what we already have.

Don't get me wrong: I am not complaining but I would gladly spend 80 bucks on something more refreshing like a Pacific Ocean Campaign or the good ol' Western Front.

Right now, I am really only interested in the Macchi and I would like to know if there is gonna be the chance to buy it by itself, without being forced to get the whole BoM package (Like it eventually happened for the Sikorsky S-22 in Rise of Flight).

Looking forward to this, IMHO the hardest to fly the most realistic sim so far, and well worth supporting as it's the way forward. I play off line mainly, but intend to get on line and have a bash on each side. Thanks Dev Team

I understand that money is needed in order to work and improve the sim. But this time I am reticent about paying to see...

RoF has an great 3Dvision support, but BoS has not, and the devs choice of locking custom graphics settings make standard  workaround impossible; for example I can do without some graphics effects but not  with a short range display of objects.

The AI is still weak on some aspect. Radio communication are a way behind other sims.

From my point of view, the campaign system of BoS is not as good as RoF one. It is has the same repetitive and somewhat borin aspect, but it loose all the immersion and historical aspect provided in RoF.

Big planes formations (bomber) are not possible.

Even if there is some potential, the multiplayer aspect have to be improved (especially for coop aspect).

I do not feel that there will be improvement on these points in BoM. But maybe I missed something ?

Ok, this will be interesting to have new planes and a new map, and devs must be paid in order to have improvement. But some "core" aspect of the sims must not be forgetted...

So I am waiting a better vision of the devs team strategy before pre ordering...

Hi Devs, Hi all,

Undoubtebly, BoS is going to be a must in the following years, even if it's missing little tuning that the team is considering on the short run.

However, I must admit I'm a bit surprised with the price policy around BoM. My squadron mates and other pilots share the same opinion. BoM appears to us as an add-on and not as a completely new game. It does not mean we are not willing to pay for it, it just mean we do not feel the price as fair.

In other words, yes to BoM, but to a fairest price, especially when you already are a "founder" and a "BoS Premium" - this opininon is shared by almost all my 25 Founder-BosPremium teammates.

We believe in the global project, BoS is full of surprises and the team is working hard. Let the DevTeam prove us we can surely rely on them and their forthcomming decisions.

I don't think the price is a big deal.

Combat Missions charge $55 per expansion and you get far less for the money, DCS is $40-50 for a single high-fi plane.

My (few) criticisms of the project aside it's not really that much money compared to games that are a bit cheaper but have a 10-20 hour play time and then get forgotten about. We're a niche market, people have to get paid a wage for their time and if this is what it costs then so be it.

S!

Had to check out the BoM deal. No thanks from me. As before, the team is not going to get a dime from me anymore. By surpassing themselves in driving away customers and treating them like idiots just was too much. And by reading the forums now and then over time, nothing has changed to the better. [Edited] and the chivalry of white knights keep defending any dev decision no matter how bad it is, good for them if enjoying the product. IL-2 is dead for me.

When it was announced BoM was coming I started setting aside a few bucks each week to purchase it. I fully expected the $99 price point that I think I paid for BoS. I think $80 is a pretty fair price. And I have some cash left over. Win-Win for me.

fanbois and the chivalry of white knights keep defending any dev decision no matter how bad it is, good for them if enjoying the product. IL-2 is dead for me.

How does insulting others accomplish anything? Dont like it? Fine. Don't be a jerk about it by insulting those of us who do. Edited by Rjel

To be fair the devs have made a few of the changes demanded by the community.

Now it took to long, and it's obvious that we aren't more than an annoyance to them, but if we keep annoying them enough they might diver the content we want.

So keep poking at them!

I agree with forsale 100%

One very effective way to do this (make ourselves heard) would be also to stop throwing money at the screen. I vote with my wallet. :salute:

Apparently "Nobody cares" is against the rules now.

If someone posts something and then someone else replies with "Nobody cares" then your post of "Nobody cares" will be edited.

This place is weird. No?

Does anybody care?

Weird.

But, anyway apparently "Edited"

You got rid of your copy of BoS because you were unhappy with the sim, it's forum, it's developers etc etc .. so why are you still posting here, particularly in this thread with the above quote if for no other reason that top stir up crap. For the record the post was edited because it was a provocative response. Why are you still even posting here since you are so unhappy with this forum and this sim and have no vested interest in it any longer?

Damn, I don't have the money to pre-order this.

Oh well, I guess I'll just sate my Ju-88 A-4 appetite with 1946 for now :)

I don't think i gonna buy it, i did bought BOS... and last time i run this game was 3 months ago... Anyway i was hoping that money and features/fixes from BOS would come to ROF, but it didn't happen yet. Devs didn't say anything about ROF future, i just have feeling that my and others (happy or not) money just fueled BOM and in case of BOM will be the same with yet another BO{X}.
