Freycinet Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Will pre-order as soon as I get home from work. Also, Jason, I'd like to be able to filter forum users by the tags under their name, so I can for instance choose to see only posts by those that have pre-ordered BoM. Would that be possible at some point? Thanks!

You are welcome to put me on it as I won't be able to make a purchase for some time. 9
=VARP=Cygann Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 You'd need an official answer to be absolutely certain but it seems that unless something changes planes will be sold in the BoM pack (i.e. all or nothing +/- premiums). IIRC it was an early decision to sell 'expansions' rather than individual planes, someone can correct my memory. I'd like the same to be honest or even single nation packs. Thank you for the answer. I actually welcome that decision, always liked true expansions over newer DLC trends in gaming industry. ROF is not perfect but it offers more in SP and MP, and since it's their older product, it's bare minimum of features and content I would accept as good value product from same developers. So ROF made me jump for BOS without any thinking, but some things around BOS make me want to wait final product first this time around.
MolotoK Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Great set of planes, but I am barely using the 10 planes I have now. Why would I buy 10 more? A campaign mode would make all these planes worth owning. Like in RoF. 3
150GCT_Veltro Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 To be honest, the price is probably a bit too high for the BoS Premium owners. A good preorder would have been around 50 Euro for my opinion. Jus my two cents in this business world. However, the planeset does look absolutely great considering the Ju-88 and the Bf-110.....and Macchi off course (enough for me to preorder this game). Please do somenthing special with the spring-summer textures, somenthing really special and this price will be fair.
Livai Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 It's called funding a business venture. It's called funding a business politics.
SR-F_Winger Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 (edited) One more question/info for the DEVS. ALL my squad does not preorder. They all want a definitive answer if playercount will be increased. For us (VSSG1) the 48 players max we currently see is not enough to keep interest in the sim alive. We really need a definitive statement if and if yes when the playercount will be increased. I really hope to get a word of any kind to this question. Edited April 1, 2015 by VSG1_Winger
BlitzPig_EL Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 The P40 is calling me, but hard to justify paying full price up front for another Beta release that will never be properly finished to Gold level. if multiplayer was not a wasteland I'd have put the money down yesterday. I'm not an offline kind of guy so multiplayer is my yardstick, and right now there is nothing to measure. I'll wait for the Steam sale.

ShamrockOneFive Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 (edited) Alright.... I'm in too. Make this a good one guys... I think you can meet most of my expectations but take it a step further and I will feel extra good about this. Bring on the I-16! Edited April 1, 2015 by ShamrockOneFive
Maple_X Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Ordered. In the future, I want Afrika, Dover, New Guinea, Burma...
Bearcat Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Comparing study(ish) sim to sim light. I don't mean any ill in that statement, but there is a sim hierarchy, snd this sim and dcs sit on different tiers within it. As with the AR vs AK debate the only true answer is get both! I don't get that bit... BoS is not DCS in terms of intricacy .. but it is hardly sim light. Not by any stretch.. at least IMO.. It's called funding a business politics. This is called trolling a thread.. please stop it.
Speckfire Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 A couple of questions before I commit. Can BOS planes be flown in BOM or is BOM stand alone? If I missed the details forgive me.
BraveSirRobin Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 A couple of questions before I commit. Can BOS planes be flown in BOM or is BOM stand alone? . Yes. They are stand alone games that can be played separately if you only own one or together if you own both. However, you must own BoS in order to participate in early access to BoM.
303_Kwiatek Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 For me at now too expensive. Will wait whats future brings on. If servers will be not optimized for at least 64 players and some planes ( Yak-1, Lagg-3 and F-4) performance will be not adjusted to RL data im off.
I./JG1_Baron Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 (edited) Preordered... Edited April 1, 2015 by II./JG1_Baron
Bullets Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Wish I could throw money at 777 to get this! Having a girlfriend and a crashed car to mend limits my disposable income.

HeavyCavalrySgt Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I would love to jump in, but I find that I haven't played Battle of Stalingrad since at least December and that was probably only for a few minutes. I got very disenchanted with it when the single-player campaign turned out to be non-persistent. Personally I don't see the immersion when there is no continuity. I am onboard with buying this but I need to know if we are going to get that immersive single-player campaign. It is a little concerning that others have asked the same question and not been answered. Similarly, I remember the angst and hostility over the unlock mechanic and I see that it is back again in BoM. I understand that without a persistent world it gives players goals to achieve but it always felt artificial to me. 4
RupertVonHentzau Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Would have paid it for the 110 alone Me, too. Ordered despite bad exchange rates USD/Euro ... this tells you how excited I am.
Pilot_Rabbit Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Since you guys are able to transfer BOM key into steam, why not BOS? or I just have to wait someday it might be compatible and shows IL2:BOS tag in my steam game list?
Pilot_Rabbit Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 It’s also important to note that if BOS and BOM are purchased from different stores they also compatible. There are no restrictions because of where a key was purchased - Steam or il2sturmovik.com. You only need to be sure that they have both been activated for the user account bound to your email. I'm not quite sure about this, but may I ask for steam key for my IL2:BOS or any sections from this forum that could do it?
FokkerH Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 "Just ordered and activated key. See you in Moscow! :salute:" Me too (ordered). Good Luck IL2 BOM !!!
gx007 Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 This is the annoying part. Companies are meant to self fund, release a finished product, then recoup their investment through sales, etc. Not get the community to fund every stage of the development so that its the community that bears the risk if they don't deliver or, as in the case of BOS, release something that isn't a fully finished product (I'm looking at the SP campaign). I'm happy to sit back and wait until the product is fully developed before I go investing my hard earned $$ into it. Why pay $100 now for something I won't get until 2016 when I could leave that in the bank, earn interest (pittance yes, but I still control it) then purchase the product...assuming its fully developed, QA'd and complete. Small indie they are Not Microsoft 1
Jaws2002 Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Sadly, BOS premium was the last product I preordered from 777. I'll see what this looks like after release, and make my decision based on that. 4
PFR_Bearkiller72 Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Live up to your abilities, Dev's! You're definetly on the upward part of the curve. - Ordered! -
BigMotor Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Let's see... how to decide... one day at Disney World or unlimited days flying my favorite aircraft. Hope the kids understand- I choose the BOM. 1
