seriously!?  you have your information from the Devs there is no more to say. unless you are trying to suggest I am somehow makings up and require proof??

sounds more like you are after an extended argument/debate...go read some of the steam forum, game rating sites and multiple other  other places including here.. if you wish to enlighten yourself, I am certainly not wasting time with finding links for you on a dead subject

out of this one thankyou

Cheers Dakpilot

Yes I have my information from the devs on their own site, which is what I originally asked for, since I have neither seen, nor would I trust, speculation on other sites from person unknown. I have not seen this information before on this forum, nor can I find it here using the search function.

Of course if you are not interested in an extended argument or debate you could simply avoid jumping in with both feet with when someone asks a straightforward question.

A straightforward question? three links to articles and countless off topic political ramblings...talk about jumping in with both feet...

please end it now

Quite a bit different than a Soviet revisionist history outlet, don't you think?

The Macchi is cool but there were only a dozen of them deployed in the Östfront.

As we have said many times. The Premium aircraft may or may not have been regular combatants on the Eastern Front. These extra planes give us the opportunity to build other popular planes.

It seems to me it might eventually lead us into other theatres of war like...I dunno...North Africa / MTO.

(Seeing as there will soon be a Macchi and a P-40).

That's cool and all... But that doesn't change what I said...

You asked to keep the topic to DD#92. That's what I was doing.

Let's do that.

And the 190 was never at stalingrad, but most are happy to have it.

If you don't like it, don't buy it!

Sorry, what is your point..?

I recall you saying that if I didn't like it I shouldn't buy it.

Just reassuring you of the fact that I won't be!

Jason, is there any word about what the single player campaign will look like in BoM?  I am trying to decide if I should buy in or not.

It's the same style as in BOS.

I myself am sorry to hear that (SP only guy), but thanks for letting us know what to expect in that regard.

Hoping for some good user created content down the road...

Who knows.. even though the campaign will be in the same style as BoS that does not mean that it won't be more immersive and a better campaign.. It was not so much the style of the BoS campaign that was the killer but the content for many yes?

Mmm, well on that I am not sure. I think of content as being what is in the game, ie, planes, ground objects, maps, etc.

Style, I think of how the campaign is designed, ie does it follow a story line, a career.  promotions, etc. The " ground hog day" description Loft used for the BOS campaign, I would consider a style. For me, it is what I perceive to be the style that just does not do a lot for me.

Perhaps I am getting my nomenclature mixed up, would not be the first time lol.

In any event, I will be interested to see what the campaign consists of when it is released.

People want career, logbook, promotions and medals just like in real life. I also miss the element of surprise. The briefing reveals what enemy to expect and where.

This is just a improved Version from the Quick Mission Builder. A Campaign never! I still not understand the reason why they put our money and their time for this. Maybe this style is popular? But for who? For us? For them? I liked the Idea from =FB=LOFT about a Coop - Campaign where players can decide to fly against AI or other players or together. A huge map = A huge battlefield. However we have now Mission Server that simulate a Campaign. What this Server need is the promised 100 player count. Since we have huge maps that need a very high player count to have fun. The best way to go is easy found. Need we really a Campaign if we get Server that simulate a true Campaign similar how the Red orchestra 2 Multiplayer Campaign work?

I don't think I follow you.

My issue was that there was no sense of continuity to it.  Your actions don't matter at all in terms of your next mission.  If all your wingmen get shot down, it makes no difference as to what aircraft and pilots are available next time you fly.  If you bomb and strafe an airfield, it will be perfectly fine the next time you launch.

I feel like the devs worked really hard to create gorgeous aircraft and scenery with very enjoyable flight models and sound effects, but topped it off a completely pointless campaign.

If we are talking about content in terms of the aircraft you fly, that part is fantastic.  If you meant content in the context of making it feel like you were doing something worthwhile, you are right.

I also don't understand what the unlock system is meant to represent in game.  I don't like or dislike it in terms of a game mechanic, it just feels like an immersion killer.

I was playing about daily pre-release, but once the campaign mode was released I pretty much stopped, because it took all the fun out of the game for me.  During alpha and beta I had been thinking how awesome it would be to launch off an improvised airfield on a frozen lake for a desperate mission to intercept some bombers before they got to the depot where my spare planes/parts/pilots/gas/ammo etc were coming from.

The silly thing is that I am still thinking of buying BoM, mostly because of that masterpiece that was RoF and in the hopes of seeing something similar set in North Africa later, but now it sort of seems like the devs either can't or won't make a meaningful campaign mode, perhaps an engine or resource limitation.

BoS has a mission builder. Look inside the game file - it is a separate exe.
