CF-105 Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 There won't be a chaika. There is the I-16, though as much as I love it, it won't bring any new gameplay options with it. Nor will the Ju-88 or the 110. They do all the same things the Pe-2 does already - just with crosses instead of stars. No new modes of gameplay are going to come from the P-40 or 202 either. They are just more fighters with varying nuances in performance. The Ju-52 would be different though. It is one of the few aircraft that offers something truly new. Crap, not the Chaika, Rata. My bad.
KodiakJac Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 I guess a flyable Ju52 wouldn't be enough to attract the civil aviation crowd.. They wouldn't like getting shot at. I think it just might. Lots of folks fly both CFS and civil aviation sims (myself included). I'm starved for longer more complex BoS mission types, and the ideas being put forward for the Ju52 in this thread sound great. A lot of civil aviation types would probably get a kick out of trying to "get through" in both MP and SP campaigns. A Ju52 career would be a lot of fun...Can I survive the Battle of Stalingrad? You could create a pilot character and be tracked day by day to see if you could make it through the time period presented in BoS. You could start out flying as a wingman, and then eventually as a flight leader in all sorts of interesting sorties. It would help make BoS more complicated.
Feathered_IV Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 (edited) A question? Are there ANY planes that people would be happy to see modelled as AI-only and non-flyable in this sim? The MC.202 is certainly a prime candidate for AI-only. With only twelve (my God... twelve!) serving on the entire eastern front, it hardly seems an effective use of development resources to make it flyable. Edited March 28, 2015 by Feathered_IV 1

Certainly makes this announcement intriguing then, eh? http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/15520-developer-diary-part-92-discussion/
LLv44_Damixu Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 (edited) 1) Wobbliness removal request My small wish would be to have controls to remove wobbliness of flying Bf109 and Ju87 airplanes. A aircraft rushing above 500 km/h can not be wobbly all over the place in terms of pointing the nose to a target. The speedy inertia will take care of forward momenum and thus resistance to wobbly controls. So the differentiating the flightpath should require substantial amount of power and thus easing the task to align the plane to point and shoot enemy down. 2) Speed sustainability dimishment request Second notion based my experience on real and simulated flight, all aircraft sustain too much of gliding capabilities. Maybe you should check and finetune the gliding ratio to meet real life behaviour. A plane will lose gliding capabilities without external power pretty soon. On this simulator, all planes will hover way too easily and too long time compared to real life. Nevertheless the fighter planes are 2-4 tons. of weight and those bricks wont fly without high speed.
