Been playing few hours now, everything seems nice except i have HORRIBLE micro stuttering and im not the only one. Is there anyone else with this problem?

 

Of course i had no problems befor patch.

 

Have you made a bug report?

 

 

After a quick 3-4 mission test in campaign the game is running better than ever with my hardware. New textures look great and map looks even more awesome now.

 

I have a very positive first feelings about this patch.

That FMB editor is same as in ROF? I dont have ROF so are these tutorials from Bob Vanderstok useful for this BOS FMB?: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOWxJi7rdwcfOPdqrrIt1sQ

 

Didn't watch those, but I think they (+ common sense) will work for you. RoF and BoS ME looks the same to me.

Yes very useful. Almost exactly the same as far as my very quick first look goes.

 

Having said that I've been trying to set up a first mission using exactly the same steps as listed in the first video tutorials in that link and I'm getting integrity check fail messages when I try to import the templates for both the main Stalingrad and the Lapino map.

 

I'm not experienced with this FME and I'm going purely from the steps in the videos.

 

But the error message when trying to import the Lapino_All.group is:

 

Object(908:Block) >> no model file! : graphics\blocks\arf_tower.mgm

Object(908:Block) >> no script file! : LuaScripts\WorldObjects\Blocks\arf_tower.txt

 

Similar message when trying the same on main map. Anyone more experienced tried this out yet?

 

Don't want to file a bug report as it's very likely I'm screwing up somewhere.

Stutters like hell with this patch.  i7- 3770 4.2 Ghz,  970 4gb :huh:   I got to enjoy my new 970 with no stutters for about a month.  :lol:

I think some more optimization has been done.  I have better frame rates than before anyway.

Yeah stability is very solid for me as well, and it had actually deteriorated over the previous couple of updates.

I can confirm stutters for me as well, though they arent game breaking. But annoying.

Believe, Lower quality sound setting helps a little with this. The high quality sound file is over 200 Megs. I can't tell the difference...between lowest and highest honestly.

Can someone clarify this?

 

Does it mean that the planes are overall more durable or is it just harder to for example shoot of a wing?

Yes and yes,

 

I think the DM improvements have made a huge difference in this update. It's much harder to get kills by simply spraying out bullets and hoping that one of them hits and immediately does catastrophic damage.

Many thanks :) ill try it when my connection is back , ive had no trouble with my internet in 2 years then on the day the patch comes out it goes down lol. Having to use my phone for connection at the moment.. :rolleyes:

BTW, obviously AI has got a lot of improvements in this patch.

But after flying couple of Il-2 missions in campaign it seems that ground attacking is not one of them. They still were quite reluctant to actually attack ground targets even if ordered to do so.

so you are not the only one.
but you do not know if anyone else has this problem.


if you are not the only one, then you must know someone else who does have the problem.

what a great update ,  but had  lots of micro stutters online tonight . lots of players were reporting the same thing .

Been playing a few hours now and overall I like  what the new patch has given us. I would echo what other folk have said with regards to oxygen masks not being present on pilots.

 

I hope that they are modelled in a future update, I know it's a small gripe but it would look so much better. One other thing I have noticed since the patch, I'm finding it's much harder to spot runways and landing strips from a distance. I don't know if it's just me? :huh:

None of the aircraft in BoS had pressurized cabins. By an 'open system' (as the German planes had) it means that the oxygen is mixed with air from the outside to make oxygen supply last longer and facillitate more natural breathing.

No Oxygen masks on pilots, no animations and no special sounds either. Maybe it doesn't work?

 

Try again. :rolleyes: There is a subtle but noticeable sound of the pilot breathing in through his Omask, and the oxygen gauges are fully animated - and that includes the oxygen flow indicator in the German planes.

You could really spare us with your rolleyes smiley in this Situation, because he is right in 2 of his 3 claims. I also don't get what he should "try again".

Really don't understand why you have to attack or undermine everyone who is a little critical about certain points of the game.

More courtesy would definitely not harm anyone, especially from a games "official"

Enemy AI keeps crashing.

 

In "Missions" load "03 Scenario IL-2 ground mission", as Il-2s approach target 109s take off but crashes seconds later.

I am not getting the message, that I've unlocked something in the Campaign anymore.

Also, one of the 109 G2 Skins is not working anymore for me. It says: "Skin has been modified and is not available" or something like this.

Don't want to argue with you, of course, they're not necessary (as well as the pilot stick for example....) but as you say, they would be neat.

 

I guess it wouldn't be too much work as the pilot heads would only need new textures. But if they should consider it, I would suggest to put on the mask at, let's say 3000m and put it off at 2900m or something to prevent a flickering head at the exact height.

I'd be surprised if the devs didn't plan to introduce masks to the 3D model at some point. However, I'm also pretty sure they'd want to do it right from the start. The model itself should be easy enough, but we know from the DD that a lot of work has gone into the crew animations. Now the masks have to fit into all these intricate movements and seperate animations have to be made for crew members in different positions both putting in and taking off the masks.

I guess with animations he meant the procedure of the pilot to put his oxygen mask on and off. A moving gauge is barely an animation. 

And the breathing sound is also "neat but not necessary" - yet it is in. Right now it's neither one thing nor another.
