BSR, no i do not play MP, I have never stated that I did. I do watch the numbers in MP though and they remain low. No concessions have been made, 1c/777 are releasing stuff that they locked up at the release

of BOS that has caused such a backlash that it is hurting their product popularity, long term business profitability and the long term survival of BOS. Just about the worst part of this new little PR Campaign is that it makes this sound like this

unlocking is some kind of bonus offering that 1c/777 are giving to us out of the goodness of their hearts. Nothing could be further from the truth, they are hurting and BOS is a year old and headed for the bargain bin soon, IMHO, I repeat, IMHO. They

know that if they don't do something soon that this will not fare well. The sooner they quit sitting on their brains and realize that they owe their customers a Public PR apology anddelivery of a simulation worthy of the much vaunted "IL2

Successor" label, the better. To give the unlocks for only premium members is just wrong and more bad PR, splitting the BOS Community once again. Suggesting that the standard game owners just purchase the extra planes, even if 1c/777 offer a

sale, is a likening to extortion. All of  the rest of your statement is just conjecture and your opinion. You just don't like it because a large portion of BOS purchasers have, since day one, stated their disappointment with1.Graphics presets

2.User non adjust ability 3.Unlocks 4.An awful Campaign 5.Locked skins. IMHO, what you really also don't like is that they are willing to vocalize their dissatisfaction and stand by their convictions and not join the herd mentality that, "given

enough time and money, 1c/777 will make it right". I am not even getting into  the FM problems that are continually discussed, debated and argued about on these Forums. I am going to drop all of you a little offering of wisdom here, it is not

the BOS FanBoys that brought about sudden change on the unlocks. It was all of  the disingenuous folks that come here to pee all over, and the manner in which it is done, that has brought about the change,  not the goodness of any of the mods

here and certainly not out of the goodness of 1c/777s heart.  It is the people whom have honestly examined BOS and made their realistic non biased opinions of the deficiencies of BOS known, and stood by those assertions  and held 1c/777s feet to the

fire, holding them accountable for the lackluster and sub par product that they delivered. It is the word of mouth of a large portion of BOS customers dissatisfaction with BOS and its PR campaign that is bringing about the change, and I would put

money on it that it is lackluster revenue, stemming from mediocre product reviews also.  The graphics are still very nice, the weather model and atmospheric effects excellent and now no unlocks. Still we have graphics presets, severely

limited user settings and a Campaign that is, well, boring, not fun, non immersive and sorely lacking Historical detail.  Once they decide to address all of these issues, 1c/BOS will be at ground zero, where they should have been at product release.  I

am not sure if that will really help considering BOS has been out for over a year now, but it certainly cannot hurt anything. Thanks for the offering of the seasonal maps 1c/777, but I think it would behoove you to address the main problems which a

large portion of your customers have conveyed to you for over a year now.

There were lots of people in there last night.  But since you don't fly MP, the MP numbers aren't really a concern for you.

True, but MP numbers are a very good indicator of a products popularity and or success, so I keep an eye on it to see if anything has changed drastically or not. That way i do not have to come to the Forums much. I am quite sure you are thankful for that and will encourage me to continue doing it. ;)

LOL @ Brano. The difference between 3000 and 1650 is the difference between landing in SFO on the flight from Honolulu and joining Tom Hanks in the middle of the Pacific.

Sort of like the difference between the compelling sim for which we paid and the boring crap we received....with no ME to even try to make it fun.

Yes,trully LOL,how did I dare to make a mistake in that calculation. And yes, people still coming here every day and registering is really sign of debacle of unprecedented scale...but maybe only in someones frustrated parallel universe.

Hello!

Summer maps are grate news.

Even we will have FME and we can hosting own server

BOS will be enjoyable simulator.

I don't understand complain about unlocks.

During last weekend I flew 15 to 20 flying

on He 111 and open all 111*s unlocks

and I think it was very goon training to learn

lever bombing with He 111 and for me it wasn't

enough to learn lever bombing perfectly.

Yea it was a bitter fight. Many brave pilots have been lost to acchieve this victory of the 777th comunity batallion, but they wont be forgotten.

Im not @ home and cannot check it! Sounds like a cool feature ( I hate having to unlock things in any game)

Can anybody tell us how does it work? You just click "unlock" and ta-daa everything is unlocked for you forever?

Thank you team.

There is nothing to complain about the unlocks for premium only. As the game was announced with its 2 version i remember it was clearly said: Premium accounts will get 2 additional planes, skins and some special equipment AND in one post it was said they will NOT have to unlock their equipment. If we face the situation now we got what was promised. No unlocks for premium but not for standard. Don`t know what people are arguing about.

The "standard" preorder customers were thrown under the bus with this one. Such a shame and it shows the mentality behind the actions. It's all about the minimum damage control.

Yes, they did, We bought the game before its release to help the team, and then, they do this to us?, things like this will change my mind when a Bos Expansion appears.

They fixed the unlocks, ok, great, but why not for everybody? this will divide the community, sometimes I miss the yellow forum, at there, we all were at the same level.

One could also mention that the standard preorder guys have already got more than they expected, given that some weapons mod are available to them that were originally supposed to go only to the premium members.

Don't get me wrong - I don't particularly care whether the premium or standard members get different stuff or not - but the traffic is not all one way. No doubt there are some premium members who are glad that they are getting something to acknowledge their higher contribution.

So, actually, we need to thank the devs to give us ? We bought the game before the release, we pay 50$ it was the most expensive I paid for a game in years( I have not much money), and actually we need to thank them to give us things? we are treated like dogs?

And I payed $90. So the new idea of unlocks for premium players seems fair to me. That is what the difference between paying a premium and standard rate should be.

In any other transaction, in any other industry paying more, gets you more for your money.

It's called capitalism.

Those pilots who left just because of unlocks will be back.If not,it means that unlocks were not real problem for them. And if they will/will not be remembered...no need for such drama.
As for me,I will not touch that magic button.I want to have that option available for future.I understand why they are there and with repaired business model there is nothing to argue about. There are still many more important points to improve/implement in this game.

If the devs gave premium account holders the next expansion for free, there would be even more people complaining.

At the end of the day, you get what you pay for.  If you want the unlocks, pay the extra $40 like some of us did.

Here's a definition of the word premium:

1.
a prize, bonus, or award given as an inducement, as to purchase products, enter competitions initiated by business interests, etc.

We all need to remember. 1C/777 is a business. Not some socialist utopian benefit gig for air combat fans.

Oh dude, you just have the wrong approach: You didn´t got less for your money. You got MORE -AND saving 40$.

You got the addition of an completely working unlocksystem! Plenty of hours you will be able to spend to live through the satisfying moments when unlocking stuff you did not had before.

Honestly- again: that premium member will not have to unlock stuff was already said 2014, while standard still have to grind their way through.

Furthermore they did not FIXED anything broken they just respond to the crowed that was wasting time for whining instead of unlocking stuff in the same time. The ability of disabling unlocks as a standard owner after purchasing the additional planes should be seen as a GIFT for them and if you would have studied economics its rather a value decrease for premium ppl then for standard cause they got the benefit of an upgrade opportunity that was not given before.

Due to the fact that english is not my mother tongue their might be some flaws but i am really sick off all that [Edited] in our forum lately.

You payed for a game and you got one. Nothing was said about "IF YOU PAY NOW THERE WILL BE NO UNLOCKS AT ALL FOR YOU"

You don´t like it ?

Pay 150€ euro get 3 planes for DCS in beta. Enjoy your flight without a decent dm, sometimes bugged fm, bad performance for ATI user and rush around in ... georgia (rly?!) ... fight some historical correct .... wait wait .. their is NO correct scenario in WWII nor ground units that fit into that era or other planes until yet in DCS.

Ah you say that all will come .... wonder why you are not that patient in IL 2.

Or just play War Thunder for free ... ah forgot about that... its arcade.

After 3 month of flamewars, whining sessions and discussions that led no where but dissatisfaction their might be the chance to become like "me". Several attempts of introducing a more calm and mannerly way of discussing and a better approach of "helping the developer to improve the game" where blown up by people who just complained because of boredom or their inability to express oneself in a proper way.

Saying that we "got treated like dogs" is that kind of b****** i am sick of reading. Especially when you did not catch the facts.

I will keep that in BoS, but sometimes i wonder how people can forget how great this game is and that there is no decent alternative. Obviously that is why i mentioned DCS. You think 50$ is much? Then you got no idea about costs and risk in flightsim development. Obviously that is why i mentioned DCS and its price/value ratio.

I could have had expressed this more polite without calling some stupids and tards. Then lets go with [Edited], short sighted and clueless people ?! Might not be better now.

Why iam writing?! As you said everybody got his own thoughts and here is the place to present them right away. Oh wait that´s why i complained in the first way so maybe we should end here.

Somehow iam disappointed, your only response is about how i said it, not what. Ignoring the facts that i said will not dismiss them. You got what you payed for. Nothing less.

Let's not. I have PMd you once already about this sort of thing.

I did move a couple of words around to make it grammatically fit the sentence and thought I was trying to make. I am sorry you didn't catch this. I in no way come here to pee on anything or be disingenuous.  It was a sarcastic use of a sentence from his post.

Beacat, you have my Sincere Appology <-------- a completely earnest gesture ------> I assumed; yes I made an a$$ of you and me, or maybe just out of  me, regardless, I assumed you deleted my entire post, and if you say you did not delete it, then I believe you and apologize for saying that that was childish. For Heavens sake LukeFF, if you are going to waste all that space at least make some witty comment about 1c/777 being such good guys, and how they are just looking out for us by keeping the graphics adjustments, skins, and a real campaign locked away for us. You can do better than that cheesy picture, but remember, don't feed the trolls, as I have been labeled.

That is complete [Edited] You man up. The reason the unlocks are now being given is because people who actually have stood up and let the Devs know when they have screwed up. This has taken a longtime, but it is not fair for only part of 1c/777s' BOS Customer base to receive the unlocks. This is merely a ploy to make all the standard customers buy the extra 2 planes if they want the unlocks. We paid for all of this stuff up front, and this isn't the Devs being nice to us, this is the Devs finally acknowledging, without publicly admitting it, that they screwed up in the first place and that this is hurting their business. Whether they admit it or not, that is why this is happening. Furthermore, until they unlock all of the skins and bring back the Custom graphics and single player difficulty adjustments, they are still reining their control over their Customers desires because they feel they know better than their customers what their customers want. New maps, really nice, I mean that, it is really awesome, but the rest of it is 1c/777 just trying to do damage control, and they are doing a half way job of it by not giving all unlocks and skins to all customers. They have a long way to go before I will even consider forgetting how they hamfisted the release of BOS by killing the custom graphics adjustments, the difficulty adjustments, the locked skins and the absolutely awful Campaign. 1c/777 can right all of this and they know how to right it, but it is just a question still of will they swallow their pride and Man Up make all of the corrections that BOS customers still want and have wanted since the debacle of the BOS release began. I suggest that you learn that standing up for yourself and what is right is Manning Up Sir, otherwise we are just a heard of cattle at the mercy of 1c/777. 1c/777 may be on the right track, but they have a long way to go to fix the makings of their own doings for the above mentioned reasons and win back the confidence of the bigger flight sim Community. I am a patient man, but they will not see any endorsment nor another penny from me until they do what is fair and what is right. This is "Manning up" and stating the obvious.

The developers didn't "take away" anything from buyers of the game by including the unlocks as part of the game. This feature was announced prior to EA going on sale.

Also concerning custom difficulty settings. BoS contains so many options within the two Normal and Expert presets that the player effectively has custom settings already.

Posted (edited)

The difference between premium and standard was explained in the release, changing things now, to widen the gap between the "value" of this two versions, is in a way  breach of contract. The "value" of the standard version dropped quite a bit after this announcement, don't you think?

At least the preorder standard customers should have gotten the unlocks as well, if not all standard customers up to now.

This is not a "breach of contract"

Read the user agreement, you agreed to this when you installed the software.

1. That is your opinion, my opinion is different. Even so, polls run by the devs showed what the customers want overwhelmingly and they have done nothing for months. They are making a step in the right direction, but there are more steps to be made by them.

2. That is not true. Expert mode is still locked down somewhat, no external view, no time acceleration, no autopilot, no labels.  I see where they now have o for options, the map  and if  you hit I ,  you can see your plane. That is better, but still even in expert mode one should be able to set up the options how they want to.

1. That's not an opinion about it's just a fact. The unlocks or plane mods were announced prior to the game being sold.

2. "Expert" as per its definition removes nearly all the gameplay aids. If it had external views, AI autopilot and labels it wouldn't be "Expert" would it? In RoF there is not even a "my plane" indicator in Expert

Currently in Normal mode the player can choose to have CEM enabled or not, toggle on and off the icons and select Padlock. So there's already a fair range of options.
