I'd rather have Sandra Bullock than live streams.

Hell Yeah!

Pleaseplease fly the IL2 and show the city of Stalingrad!

PLEASE!

:)

Looking forward.

right!

we've seen land, snow and airstrips. looks good. but how about the city of Stalingrad, the river surrounded by furious combats and the buildings in flames?

I may be wrong but the only buildings I've seen so far were small villages, villas and small houses in the country.

We have to remember were still over 6 months from release, we all want to see these things but i would imagine we will see them as they are finished and they may not be ready yet.

Im just as excited as anyone to see the good stuff, but we have to keep this in mind.

So that makes it 3:00 pm pacific west coast time right?

Going the wrong way again and need another hour. 8:00 am   dumb dumb.

Hyped.

I usually don't like night missions, no matter what game it is (FPS, Driving, Flying...) because I never found a game that could match my expectations. Sometimes I am just disapponted by the graphcs, some other times I get sore eyes in minutes.

But I hope BoS will change my mind about night.

ITs very hard to simmulate darkness on a device that works emitting Light into your eyes...

Argh, the entitled generation...

Uh, that's MY generation you're insulting, not his. And I'm actually quite grateful for the livestreams. Next time you insult an entire generation, get your facts right.

Excellent! Maybe introducing some bombers tomorrow ?

Middle of the night for me (rather appropriately this time) but I'll be looking forward to the subs on Friday. Love the idea of some good night ops.

Night missions seem to be exploited in any online scenario- people change their gamma to get an advantage, etc...

I'd like to know how this will be addressed - or is this simply going to be an offline feature only ?

"The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below."

I wonder if there will a moonless night or something a bit brighter?

Will be interesting to, see if I can stay up that late!

I guess you guys have to leave these nice features to us offliners/coop-e-pilots.

Agree. I would love to see thick smoke rising over the city, not particularly fires but mostly smoke. It would be great for atmosphere

Ans as for today's live stream, it doesn't have to be pitch dark for me, pretty dark or night setting in would be interesting.

Oops... What does entitled mean to you? Anyway, don't take it too seriously...

What a totally BS comment. Sounds like something that could be said by a petulant child...

When did we suddenly go from "fantastic, they are doing live stream updates!" to whining about getting them and complaining about the development team actually speaking their own language... Argh, the entitled generation...

Seems reasonable to me - I thought paying $90 was to be involved early and often.  Why wouldn't we have access now ?

which is good.  I just want to know if anything can or is to be done to offset this (ie. changing gamma wouldn't allow you to see more than if gamma is normal).  That would be advancement.

Don't think your second point will ever be possible Recon. Plenty of other games suffer from that kind of meta gaming

The tracers seen in the first part looked like red balls...

Ah the HE-111.

Does the 109 has a higher reflection on the canopy than the Lagg?

Do you mean from the cockpit lights, yes it had.The front window was covered with light reflection while it was on.

Has anyone recorded it and put it online?

So maybe finally I will fly night missions

I heard they made some attempts in DAYZ to limit the capability of the players to  negate  night by increasing gamma.

Not really, it was a remark in regards to people complaining about the stream not being in their language - in addition to the streams are doing nothing for me since I already pre-ordered and would rather be play testing than watching streams. Streams will be better once the play testing begins, to get those interested who have NOT already pre-ordered.

But I guess that you paid to watch live streams. I never cared for live streams, I thought it was a complete waste of time from the get go. They already have my money, these streams do nothing to add to my excitement for the title.

I haven't seen that yet, they'd have to make changes to ArmAII's core itself to prevent gamma adjusting from ArmAII's settings I believe. Which unfortunately I hear over TS guys doing it all the time so I don't think it's made it into a patch. Maybe you mean for the standalone?

Live streams are interesting to show that development moves on. And to attract those that are still over the fence to come to the dark side (or the golden side like most of you). Of course that playing would be better, but if you play a grossly unfinished product you may get a very wrong idea and flood the forums with complaints about what you paid and what you get, so the course of action of 777/1C on this matter seems right to me.

I'm not sure what you think you paid for, but that's pretty much what we'll be getting. I've alpha and beta tested plenty, I know exactly what to expect.

Yeh I don't even see how that can be possible as you can change your gamma in Nvidia CP.

was playing IL 2 and forgot about live stream, did anyone recorded it? post a link :)

The crash was my fave part

Wow great stream. The cockpit lights and nav lights looked great. I also really liked the moon shadow in the cockpit. The vehicles looked sweet as well. I really like how you can spot them from pretty far away. Can't wait to see some flames coming out of those exhaust pipes!

Everything is looking very immersive. I can tell it will be fun to just fly around in this world, without blowing anything up even.

Arf i miss the stream. Waiting for a recording

I have also, and I'm a software developer myself, so I kinda know what it's like to get a software product to the final user. My post is not intended as a personal message for you, much less was I trying to undermine your previous message. Regretably, the English word for singular and plural is the same.

I just intended a simple reminder for everyone in the forums, that sometimes it's not so good to get the product too early.

I found this link (low quality) on the Russian forum:

And now, some nitpicking ;)

On the Bf 109 F-4, the fuel tank access hatch (on the port side of the cockpit) looks slightly too high...post-481-0-49104600-1380132835_thumb.jpgpost-481-0-23061200-1380132863_thumb.jpg

Looks very good. I think there will be plenty of night missions.

One detail I haven't seen before in a flight sim was the ability to shoot flairs with a pistol. Looked great -

I wonder if this can be somehow made automatically by the AI or is it something that can be done by human players only?

Posted

Unfortunately not that many new things if you're familiar with RoF night missions.

It looks great of course. And yes, AI can also shoot flares (atleast they can do that in ROF).

Thanks for the feed, was very good. The 109 cockpit looked fantastic at night with the lit up instruments.

And cheers to Jason for the quickish Q and A. :)

Sounds good but I'm still alittle disapointed that once agian its in russian. You said after the first one that you would have one in english. And both loft and zak speak english quite well. Please its about time we got to hear and see at the same time.

Regardless of that anoyance, im looking forward to seeing the progress!

Have to agree with that. I don't understand why since my assumptions are that while russia will be a big market for the title, it can't be more than half which would justify such a russian presence. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I've thought about starting up learning russia though, but haven't got around to it yet. Guess I'll have to now :)

Hmm.. and now seeing a lot of people with their gold plates under their avatars I guess I've missed some step needed to activate it as I poured my money into this project the minute I it was made possible.
