ExpendableWendel Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Silly me purchased the game assuming this would be available, alas it is not, and seems to have been ruled out: http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/168-developer-diary/#dd27 I'm currently flying il2 co-ops, but that seems to be dying out. I'm primarily interested in flying objective based missions with. But I dislike very game turning into the same dogfight game regardless of the mission objectives. So, as co-op is the only style of play that interests me, what other combat sims, not limited to WW2 are out there today that have the il2 style play available?
Guest deleted@1562 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 There are coop missions for DCS. But what is missing, is filling the unoccupied slots with AI, this is a feature only IL2:1946 has.
Dakpilot Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Co-ops are regularly flown in RoF, when the ME and Dserver is released I am sure a similar state of affairs will develop in BoS, also have a look into SYN_ 'vintage" missions when they are run as I believe these are much more objective based and may be more what you are looking for RoF co-op example http://riseofflight.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=347&t=38007&start=270 SYN_ vintage missions soon http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/9500-syndicate-expert-server/?p=218497 Cheers Dakpilot
Yakmaster Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 (edited) Last time i played RoF coops, your not able to take seat in airplane that is part of flight of AIs and your friend can not take another flight of AI and control them or atleast control one wingman and play coop missions like Il-2 1946 coops, so RoF dosent have Il-2 type coops as OP asks Edited January 8, 2015 by Yakmaster
BraveSirRobin Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Using that criteria, the only game that has identical coop functionality to IL2 1946 is IL2 1946, and that shall be true forever and ever and ever. 1
Feathered_IV Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 True. The short answer is no other title does co-ops like 1946.
