NN_RugbyGoth Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Yesterday night we were 20+ french pilots on the Heavy Metal server : Here we can't see some other pilots that were on another TS or others that joined later. We have a growing community and yesterday night we almost fullfilled the server (only 3 players on it when we arrived, then it was full 20 minutes after our arrival)Lots of new pilots are here, coming from War Thunder for some of them (like me). They need proper training before taking full advantage of this soft. But training can't be done without a Dserver for the ones that are willing to train those new pilots (Habu and GCN_Obelix are our instructors). The only way we've found was to go on Heavy metal as it has some slots free most of the time, but when you are on the ground looking at the gauges for 1 hours, this is frustrating for other player that want action.Yesterday was mission night, so they're was a lot of action, but we need to train our newcomers, so Dserver for our instructors is mandatory. Please, Zak, contact Habu and give him a Dserver, this way our community will be able to grow much more and your game will be more attractive for those who are hesitating because it's difficult to be properly trained nowadays.
Obelix Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 (edited) Yesterday (november 26th) 22 french and belgian pilots on Heavy Metal server More than 1 hour mission Almost 12 Il-2 A german airfield almost destroy Some other chaps couldn't join us because there were no more free slots. Have fun More "Mule's day" to come, I wish we get soon a FMB and a Dserver to make some customized missions and coop campaigns, and offer them to the whole Bos community event for non french speaking people. A-E-Hartmann Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 I think he should have started with 48 slot server.
Obelix Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Last night I managed to land in my lines, but my gunner was killed 3
II./JG77_Manu* Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 the first screeny from you, Obelix, is just awesome. Could be a recolored archive picture
Obelix Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 the first screeny from you, Obelix, is just awesome. Could be a recolored archive picture Sure, but as Sturmovik's pilot it wasn't very pleasant to live this moment!!!
II./JG77_Manu* Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Sure, but as Sturmovik's pilot it wasn't very pleasant to live this moment!!! haha can imagine that. But looking at the 109s engine in picture 3, does look that your gunner made a damn good job before he hopped the twig
Obelix Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 (edited) The 109 was shot down before by one of our Yak. He climbed, smoking and loosing fuel, then he came down and hit me. His first salvo killed my gunner (a human one), the second hit me (I was severly wounded), then he overshoot me. I was able to come back to my front line, then I landed gently, engin off... We were once again almost 15 belgian and fench pilots this nignt Edited November 28, 2014 by Obelix

Decius65 Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Hi, I love this game but I find it a bit frustrating that it is not possible for the french community to have a dedicated server allows us to organize immersive missions with many players. Plzzzzz, help us to realize our dreams
CCG_bexhausted Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 It would be a nice Christmas present to have a French server to train without annoying others more experienced players. All French pilots can not even attend the session because the number of places is too small. This little frustration does not detract from the game that is really great! Thank for the job anyway. I find the same feelings with IL 2 forgotten battles, it was a long time ago!
Simicro Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 I am one of those new pilots trained by phoenix and Obelix. I improved a lot my overall knowledge on BOS and my flying on the IL-2 thanks to the regular and valuable online training sessions. Why do we need a server for the french speaking community? - help us to help BOS grow among the french community by spreading the knowledge and skills - there are experienced hard-core simmers among us who have the right technical skills to run properly a server - our group is mature and serious - we have regular MP sessions - we can provide useful feedback
Obelix Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/13216-raid-sur-buzinovska/?do=findComment&comment=207890 Raid on Buzinovka
Pollux Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 The French squad C6 has a dedicated server that currently works for ROF, IL2 1946, DCS. We would be happy to host and co-ops missions for BOS. for French community ! 1
Obelix Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I am working on a video "109's attack on gently Mule"... you could look at the screenshots on post 44
NN_Luso Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 for French community ! I call the NNvirtuel to be with you !!
LAL_Luny Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 (edited) Another great evening on the Heavy Metal server for the French company. We're sorry to overfil it. The 48 limit was quickly reached, and we had no lag whatsoever. Even flying in formations. French speaking people who were on one of the TS (there were others flying but not on the same TS): Beginning : End : Little snapshot: Nice evening and more to come hopefully Edited December 3, 2014 by FZG_Luny
Habu Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 More information about the mission will come later. Il2 had a little lag when we attacked the railway station. But not more than we have other days on that server.
Obelix Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 26 pilots, 6 air victories, 2 ground targets destroyed.... What a beautiful game!!!

=FFR=Sleipner Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Another Mule's day http://youtu.be/FL6fyO7RHpI I love those wednesday nights! 1
Simicro Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Sleip: awesome video! Music, lighting and view angles are very nice!
coconut Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 I think I ran into a group of 5 IL-2 last night (saturday), four of which were running a tight formation: The gunners of the formation hurt me quite a bit, but I managed to take out the 5th guy who was lagging behind. I guess him forgetting the gunner (or not having unlocked it yet) was a contributing factor to his demise. Escaping the escorting LaGG wasn't too hard, I simply did a turning climb to the left. He couldn't follow, even with my engine smoking. Was it really that easy for the german fighters to escape trouble?
Obelix Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Petit film sur la soirée du 3 décembre, vu des Il2 / Small video from our last meeting, december 3rd, have fun
