79_vRAF_Friendly_flyer Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 http://forum.il2sturmovik.ru/topic/577-strim-il-2-bzs-v-sredu-11-sentyabrya/?p=56103 from russians, hopefully JG4 Karaya will again have video with ts talk also Thanks, the streaming was right when I put the kids to bed.
OBT-Psycho Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Damn, I was hoping that they would show some flight right through the other LaGG-3's slipstream... I was thinking exactly the same during this formation flight. I discovered it recently in RoF, and was wondering how much different would it be with these planes... maybe we should ask it to be showned on the next livestream
JG4Helofly Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Interesting to see the Lagg again. Seems not only to be an average performer, but also a difficult plane to fly. I wonder how popular this plane will be online on full real server.
Bearcat Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Very good stuff.. JtD please check your PMs when you can.
Zak Posted September 11, 2013 Author Posted September 11, 2013 I was thinking exactly the same during this formation flight. I discovered it recently in RoF, and was wondering how much different would it be with these planes... maybe we should ask it to be showned on the next livestream We'll make a multiplayer stream for sure, however there are still other nice things that we'd like demonstrate before doing so. Earlier Bf.109 and Lagg videos from the dev diary were shot in multiplayer mode btw.
HeavyCavalrySgt Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 (edited) Everyone gone stupid or what? I'm fully aware that this was an FM live-stream, but have to listen to Turdi telling me how great the visuals are. So can you take your comment, tell him and leave me alone? Probably not everyone. Maybe just one person, but I don't know if it is new or a pre-existing condition. Edited September 11, 2013 by HeavyCavalrySgt
Stakha Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Thank you Karaya for your utube upload with Jason's commentary. Now waiting for Zak and his english sub !
Volkoff Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 (edited) Thank you for doing a livestream today. The more I see of the LaGG-3 the more I like her. I am really looking forward to getting together wIth my squad mates to learn how to sim fly her, inside and out. MJ Edited September 12, 2013 by =69.GIAP=MIKHA
HeavyCavalrySgt Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 It is cool to see those gear indicators on the wings working. I will be curious to see the video with subtitles - it seemed odd to see the plane slowly drift off the right side of the runway with full left rudder in.
TheBlackPenguin Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Nice stream, looking forward to seeing the translation so I fully understand what's going on.
Bearcat Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I like the shadows.. I am wondering if in the final product you will be able to see the shadow of a plane behind you if it was in the sun.. I hope so. The sense of motion down low is nicely done.
Volkoff Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 (edited) Interesting to see the Lagg again. Seems not only to be an average performer, but also a difficult plane to fly. I wonder how popular this plane will be online on full real server. The LaGG-3 will require tactics, teamwork, and numbers. The BF-109 is better than a LaGG-3 at just about everything. This doesn't mean that in online play the BF 109 players are going to be running around killing everything in sight with impunity. Some BF 109 players will be disciplined, high speed, hit and run attackers, other BF 109 players will stick around to dogfight or boom and zoom. Given the superiority of the BF-109, relative to the LaGG-3, it will be tempting for many 109 pilots to stick around to finish off a particular LaGG-3, knowing that the BF -109 should come out on top, in the vertical or the horizontal. Given sufficient superior numbers of LaGG-3s in the local air, some of the BF-109 guys electing to stick around and dogfight, or stick around to boom and zoom, will certainly get shot down, likely by a LaGG-3 they did not notice. An anchored BF-109 is a vulnerable BF-109. MJ Edited September 12, 2013 by =69.GIAP=MIKHA
Recon Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Todays live stream including Jason's commentary Video should go up to 1080p over time... You are the best - thanks man!
71st_AH_Hooves Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 looking good. Cant wait to try these planes out in a squadron setting. Learning a new sim with friends is always a great memory maker! Keep up the good work 1CGS!
Picchio Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I was thinking exactly the same during this formation flight. I discovered it recently in RoF, and was wondering how much different would it be with these planes... maybe we should ask it to be showned on the next livestream Yeah, that's also why I thought of it... also, during one of the earlier developer video logs, the one in which they got to fly for real, I remember someone (Loft himself, I think) saying that they also put some sensors on the airframe in order to collect data for studying the slipstream, which is awesome. And yeah, it's one of the best features in ROF... when I saw those artillery explosions I also hoped that he would try to fly through the detonations, another thing which in ROF is just beautiful and very very scary at times. How many times have I had my day and my airframe ruined by one of those. We'll wait! Besides, congratulations again and keep up the brilliant job, guys.
Skoshi_Tiger Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Looking good guys! Will watch again when we get some subs! Thankyou
DeafBee Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Todays live stream including Jason's commentary Video should go up to 1080p over time... Thanks JG4_Karaya so much for the recording of the live stream.
Volkoff Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 (edited) Thank you Karaya for your utube upload with Jason's commentary. Now waiting for Zak and his english sub ! Yep, thanks to Karaya for putting up the version with Jason's commentary. I really enjoyed hearing what Jason had to say. I am looking forward to listening to Zak's subtitle version of the video, tomorrow. I will certainly love reading about what Zak, Loft, and Petrovich have to say. Petrovich will surely have a lot of great info for us. Watching the video again also gives me an excuse to watch that very lovely LaGG-3 sim flying about, too! I can't wait for October! HeavyCavalrySgt Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Are the pitch oscillations in the hammerhead pilot induced or no?
Finkeren Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 I like the shadows.. I am wondering if in the final product you will be able to see the shadow of a plane behind you if it was in the sun.. I hope so. If I understand you correctly, you're asking, if planes will be able to cast shadows on one another? Isn't that already in RoF? I can't seem to recall if it is or not.
Matt Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Interesting, i'm not sure if that's in RoF either. If it's in, i never noticed it i guess, if it's not in, i never missed it. Something to check out today.
15[Span.]/JG51Costa Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 (edited) Thankyou very much JG4_Karaya! Edited September 13, 2013 by 15[Span]/Costa
OBT-Psycho Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 I think it's in RoF as sometime when coasting to the front, the light goes darkers for no reason until you quickly check around you to discover a wingman between you and the sun. So even if there isn't a real shadow projected on your plane, the modulation of ambiant light tells you what is going on
J4SCrisZeri Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 ah, with the english subtitles the livestream is another world, even more interesting now that I understand what the engineer is demonstrating
Mikestam Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Very nice news. Thank you for your great job. Mike.
