ACG_Ratty Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Congratulations devs, really hope it's a success both financially and otherwise for all our sakes - can't wait to see what other theatres look like in this engine
AwesomeSprawvy Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Congratulations Devs! I stumbled upon the developer diaries by chance one day before the early access period started and was very hesitant to purchase the sim prior to getting my hands on it. I went back and read some of the older diaries and found myself sold by the enthusiasm with each post. I purchased the sim shortly afterwards and have been flying, time permitting, since we first got the Lagg and did not even have weapons. The great devs and awesome community means I will find myself sticking with this sim for quite some time. So again, thank you and congratulations!
[JG54]Vyper Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Congratulations to the team! Very well done and it has been a pleasure to be allowed to be a part of it since the beginning. Looking forward to the next step, whatever it is!
JG4_Sputnik Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 So if we download the new file we have the 1.0 release version?
Bussard_x Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Thanks developers, looking forward to future projects. So if we download the new file we have the 1.0 release version? Currently we have version 1.002
Trooper117 Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Am I getting this right? The finished game is now on sale? If so, as this game is now the standard released game, does it have a sound track with it? If not, why? Is it compatible with the version we are currently using?
StG2_Manfred Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Congratulations, really well done so far! May this be the start of long journey together (although it will be hard sometimes )
rlk281 Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Love this game, most of the people who play it, and especially 1C and 777! Congrats to all of us!
1CGS Han Posted October 22, 2014 1CGS Posted October 22, 2014 Thank you guys I hope you will like it 2
71st_AH_Mastiff Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 (edited) Hans, Lofft, Zak, BlackSix, Sneaksie, Jason, and the unseen team members. Congratulations, I hope and pray for a great lucrative IL2 Stalingrad, Kuban, Mediterranean, North Africa, Pacific, Europe... Ect. Ect.. I think you need to start on the hard planes first, B17, and then work your way down to the easier planes.. Edited October 22, 2014 by 71st_Mastiff
rigbyDerekb1948 Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 A toast and salute to our magnificent development team! You have produced something very special that will enrich the lives of so many of us for a long time to come! I feel greatly privileged to have been given the opportunity to travel this fascinating journey with you as your "guest" (or so it felt to me!) on the, often bumpy, road that has been the development of "Battle of Stalingrad". Fridays have become special "BoS" days, waiting in anticipation of the weekly updates, feeling a bit like a child again, impatiently watching the clock as Christmas approaches. I have loved every bit of it! I have, over the last months, developed a great respect and admiration for you as developers who, often facing harsh, and mostly unwarranted, criticism still "kept your cool" and stayed the course, addressing and dealing with every complaint in a professional and dignified manner. As self-confessed passionate flight simmers yourselves, you clearly understood the ,sometimes, overheated passions expressed on the forums as just that - passion for our common hobby, and did not let it affect your determination to produce the best damned flight sim that's out there today! CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU ALL!
Lensman Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 I've not had any crashes (software, wish i could sat the same about aircraft) tonight and I presume it was because I restarted my PC. Anyone else still having CTD after a reboot? I think the problem is often something to do with the installation (cacheing maybe? Just a random guess). PS: I just crashed landed half an IL-2 with the prop blades half the expected length and the engine still running ... for a while. Technically possible and most amusing.
Finkeren Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 I think you need to start on the hard planes first, B17, and then work your way down to the easier planes.. With several B-17s around the world still in flying condition and tons of data on all aspects of the planes equipment and specs, I'd say the B-17 is definately one of the easier planes to model. An Su-2 or Tupolev SB, now there's a challenge.
oblongmushroom Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Well congrats on getting it on the market! I hope you take on the feedback regarding current issues/bugs and dynamic campaign or as close to that as you can get. But in saying that I'm sure it will do well as most in society are sheep anyway and will follow the one before it over a cliff. I don't mean that in a negative way its just people see some new shiny shit and loose sight of possible progressions. You definitely made something very beautiful and I'm sure you guys will be pushing the limits more with future products. Just focusing on the turnaround time alone puts you ahead of the pack in my honest opinion. I'm looking forward to seeing more from your team and thanks for the opportunity to actually give feedback. Best
limeymcscrote Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Congratulations devs, it's been quite a privelege to be able to play and see how the game progressed from the earliest release! It's time to work on my campaign now!
Lensman Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 With several B-17s around the world still in flying condition and tons of data on all aspects of the planes equipment and specs, I'd say the B-17 is definately one of the easier planes to model. An Su-2 or Tupolev SB, now there's a challenge. Sally-B flies over my house quite regularly and I've been onboard it on the ground. You've no idea how cramped the waist gunners were until you've stood in their position!
Jokker Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Congratulations! Very good job so far! Big thanks and long life for this great new WW2 flght combat sim.
pilotpierre Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Well done guys. Thank you for the weekly updates and news and for all the overtime you have put in these last few months. Great job and a great product.
Jade_Monkey Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Congratulations to the entire dev team! The Early Access has been a great journey together and we have seen a lot of features come to life with an amazin effort from your part! Now it's released and you have achieved a huge milestone! I hope to see more content from you guys as I know it will be great!
2Yards2Yards Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 No comment..other than...this is one GREAT game ! Excellent!
FlyingNutcase Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 I've got to say I'm a bit nervous about how it'll do out there, but if we're airborne then that's it, let's hope for a long, safe flight... Thanks devs for bringing new life to the the 'ol gal.
smink1701 Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Congratulations and thank you for raising the CFS bar to a new high. I am sure the best is yet to come!
fergal69 Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Congrats & thanks to the developers for all their hard work put into this flight sim. They also deserve thanks for allowing the community to take part in the development as it has gone along for allowing us to test, report faults & put suggestions forward to make this the best flight sim out there. I'm sure there was a lot of blood, sweat & tears that have gone into this project behind the scenes.
Livai Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Game finial released, where to find the Mods enable button?

216th_Peterla Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 All the best and hopefully great success to the sim.

PA-Sniv Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 (edited) Zak said yesterday they were working on skin viewer. I guess they'll give the templates once the skin viewer is finished! Cheers, Edited October 23, 2014 by PA-Sniv
Trooper117 Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 How will this work? Will user made skins have to be unlocked as well? Otherwise there is no point in having the skins already in game 'locked' is there?
