J4SCrisZeri Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 (edited) hm, maybe it's blocked for tech tests until the exact time they start broadcasting. password may be removed by 1600 GMT could it be? Edited August 29, 2013 by J4Scriszeri
Manta Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Same here, I'm on a iPhone and have the TWITCH app but I can't watch the channel, it asks for a password. I received the invitation through the usual newsletter but nothing is mentioned about a password.
peregrine7 Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 (edited) That is a very handy site! Bookmarked it right now. Thanks! No need for that, just do Wolfram alpha. I've started using it an unfair amount because it *will* tell you what you need to know, whether that's the imaginary component of a complex equaiton, the population of a city or converting GMT to AEST. http://www.wolframalpha.com/ - http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=16%3A00+GMT+to+AEST Ask it anything, it has an answer. http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=What+is+the+meaning+of+life+the+universe+and+everything http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=What+is+the+price+of+fish http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=How+long+is+a+piece+of+string&a=*C.How+long+is+a+piece+of+string-_*Miscellaneous.dflt-&a=*DPClash.MiscellaneousE.How+long+is+a+piece+of+string-_*LengthOfAPieceOfString- http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=Moscow It's pretty fun actually. XD BACK ON TOPIC. I'm looking forwards to seeing the F! Especially the stall behaviour, the LAGG was done to perfeciton, especially the way it tipped back in after recovery! If the F is done to the same detail it will be mindboggling. The other thing, and it may not be ready to show to the public yet, I'd like to see is how deformation and disintegration will work. I saw that the plane itself doesn't explode (yet?), which is nice though somewhat unrealistic for plunging into the ground. I've always hated how in Il2 your plane would just explode and ruin what was an amazing crash, ROF solved that with the whole perishable pilot, invincible airframe thing. To see wings shred off, due to the hugely higher speeds, and not pop apart like in Il2 would also be a welcome change. Edited August 29, 2013 by peregrine7 1
J4SCrisZeri Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Let's just wait for the X hour, things will work at last, I guess Hyping here!
Avatar13 Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 uhm, the chan asks me for a password...? Hmmm, that is odd.
JtD Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 The aircraft shown was Yellow 8 of 9. JG 52, right? Does anyone know who piloted that aircraft at that time?
MACADEMIC Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Awesome, many thanks for the update!109 looks great! MAC
No105_Swoose Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Just finished. Fantastic! Thanks for the live presentation! So glad I pre-ordered!
Sgt_Joch Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 very nice. This live stream is becoming one of my favorite programs. I hope it will be a regular event.
FTC_Karaya Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 (edited) Uploading a recording of the live stream including Jason's commentary right now, will post the video link when it's finished! Btw, lesson learned for next time: The Russian live streamed seemed a lot more stable and smoother than Twitch's... Edited August 29, 2013 by JG4_Karaya 2
TJT Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Appriciated Karaya! Twitch lives up to its name for me yet again wit hbeing laggy and generaly twitchy.
DB605 Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 (edited) Friedrich was awesome, best looking 109 in any game so far! Well done. Sounds were good too, even if i would like them to be littlebit more different than CLOD ones...onboard sounds lacks bit of bass or "deepness", something like that currently IMO. But still good. Edited August 29, 2013 by DB605
Sethos Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Twitch stream always starts to stutter or skip periodically. The Russian stream was stable however the framerate was a lot lower and the quality worse.
Pierre64 Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 The aircraft shown was Yellow 8 of 9. JG 52, right? Does anyone know who piloted that aircraft at that time? Obfw. Leopold Steinbatz, an Experte of 9./JG 52 flew a very similar Bf 109 F-4 "gelbe 8" at that time.

SR-F_Winger Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Awesome thanks for uploading!!! I missed it sadly. Long workdays:(
JtD Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Obfw. Leopold Steinbatz, an Experte of 9./JG 52 flew a very similar Bf 109 F-4 "gelbe 8" at that time.Wasn't he killed in June 1942?
Pierre64 Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 (edited) Yes, on june 23, 1942. Killed by russian AAA after his 99th kill. Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub und Schwerten awarded posthumously. Too early for BoS? His page on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leopold_Steinbatz Edited August 29, 2013 by Pierre64 1
FTC_Karaya Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Here's the video: Might still take a while to process as the upload literally just finished (a >2GB file after all), once its done it should go up to 1080p! 6

FTC_Karaya Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 (edited) Still processing, stuck at 95% for some reason for the last 10min or so... be patient guys Edited August 29, 2013 by JG4_Karaya 1
=BKHZ=Furbs Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 (edited) It was great! oh man that F4 looked fantastic, best looking 109 ive ever seen in a sim, the lighting on the models is superb.Though as great as the feed was, what was even better idea was getting Jason on TS in a Q and A, i dont know if he can do that every time and i dont expect it, but it was great listening to all the questions and answers. You can sense of a community building.Well done Loft, Zak, Jason and the team. Edited August 29, 2013 by Furbs
=BKHZ=Furbs Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Really miss that edit button after 15 mins.
LLv34_Flanker Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 S! That was superb! Jason really gave lot of info and insight of BoS. Glad I pre-ordered
79_vRAF_Friendly_flyer Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 (edited) Up now! Man, that P-2 is a handsome plane! Did I just see the pilot wiping his nose while waiting for the action to start? Edited August 29, 2013 by 79_vRAF_Friendly_flyer
Jason_Williams Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Hey guys, Thanks for hanging out with me watching the feed. Even better turn out than last time. I always enjoy hearing your questions. We covered a lot of ground. Thanks again! And I apologize for the slow start. I had just woken up. Jason
JtD Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Yes, on june 23, 1942. Killed by russian AAA after his 99th kill. Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub und Schwerten awarded posthumously. Too early for BoS? I'd say too early. But thanks for mentioning him anyways, it's pretty close.
79_vRAF_Friendly_flyer Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I've never been partial to German fighters, but I must say that Friedrich looks insanely nice. The reflections are beautiful! The effect that Jason said was paralax near the ground looked to me to like drifting snow, like one of the commenter said. It would be very neat if it is, because it certainly made it look very, very cold outside! The map with the low sun and the atmospheric effects are gorgeous!
Finkeren Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 The cockpit and the external model looks absolutely perfect. IMHO we're way past the quality in ClOD already without any particle effects.
71st_AH_Hooves Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 good stuff karaya!! The cockpit and the external model looks absolutely perfect. IMHO we're way past the quality in ClOD already without any particle effects. I agree, but I do think that Clod looks very good but just in a different way. Im just glad I live in an age where these sims can look so convincing!
Bearcat Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Outstanding.... ! It looks like the tires are in snow even though they are on concrete.. Do you think the cockpit shake would be as pronounced IRL considering the way the body involuntarily kind of cushions the eyeballs .... It looks great though.. Can't wait for the finished product.
J4SCrisZeri Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 (edited) Beautiful stuff, Im craving this new Sturmo like never before. Nice 3D, nice materials, amazing cockpit My only statement, globally, is: maybe the snow (around the plane and in the runway area) is too clean and white. Gasoline, vehicles and personnel should have Made it quite dirty. Keep the good job up guys! Edited August 29, 2013 by J4Scriszeri
