ducs Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 - it's now possible to speed up time for x2 only; Say it ain't so! Oh well... only found out about the time speed up last night.
BigDally Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 - autopilot feature was turned off for campaign mode; - it's now possible to speed up time for x2 only; Yeah...I saw this one coming for sure. Thx for the update.
Livai Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Unlocks come from the free-to-play games where they need players hooked in order to generate revenue by selling premium accounts (to grind faster) and advertising. Right, short said: Premium [Gold Founders Tag] ---> unlocked Standard [silver Founders Tag] ---> locked With a Premium account you dont need to unlock stuff. Go Premium
dburne Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 (edited) The change log for today's update is as follows: - autopilot feature was turned off for campaign mode; - it's now possible to speed up time for x2 only; - aim helper added in Normal difficulty; Any way to disable that aim helper? Matt Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 At least they are trying really hard to calm things down...
Voidhunger Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 after the update my skin for FW190 is still missing
PFR_Bearkiller72 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Any way to disable that aim helper? +1 again. Same question here. ^^
Adamfp3 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 - autopilot feature was turned off for campaign mode; - it's now possible to speed up time for x2 only; Wow...... Just wow.... instead of fixing the issue you took away the one thing that made it even slightly bearable. Now i really am going to have a hard time picking this game back up come November. 1
LLv44_Mprhead Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 I don't really have an issue about unlocks in single player campaign, I just think that skins and weapon mods and loads should be up to server to decide in multiplayer. Actually in SP campaign unlocks kind of speak to collector in me... But anyway, atm single player campaign could do with some better mission briefings etc so that there would be at least some feeling of being there. 1
PFR_Bearkiller72 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Right, short said: Premium [Gold Founders Tag] ---> unlocked Standard [silver Founders Tag] ---> locked With a Premium account you dont need to unlock stuff. Go Premium Huh? What are you trying to say? You too are a "Premium" member. You, like all the others have to play that unlocking game as well. So? Where's the joke here?
PFR_Bearkiller72 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Great news, thanks Zak... Yup! Thanks from me too!
zippyPerrserker Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 (edited) The change log for today's update is as follows: - - autopilot feature was turned off for campaign mode; - it's now possible to speed up time for x2 only; Why would you do this? I really don't understand, this doesn't make any sense at all. Why make the single player campaign more restricitive? When you're playing single player, you should be able to play how you want to, right? How you as the player would enjoy playing it? If you want expert settings, but want to pop on autopilot and speed up time a bunch till I get to the objective, or get to home base, why shouldn't I be able toin the single player portion of the game? Can you also not speed up time past 2x and use autopilot in normal difficulty settings? I can't tell from the post if these restrictions are in all modes of campaign play, or only expert. Afwastus Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 (edited) - autopilot feature was turned off for campaign mode; - it's now possible to speed up time for x2 only; Thanks developers, this is exactly the feature that we asked for. Where can I apply for compensation for the time I am losing due to limited time compression and being forced to play the campaign? Edited October 6, 2014 by Afwastus 7
PFR_Bearkiller72 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Level autopilot still works, right? I'd guess so, since it's necessary for a horizontal bombing run.
FZG_Merlin Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 autopilot feature was turned off for campaign mode; such a great idea... herp derp... 1
Afwastus Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 (edited) Even more annoying is the lack of x16, now even the few people who liked the single player campaign can't quickly get to the action. You have 15 minutes and want to shoot down some LW in the campaign for the Motherland? Nyet! You are not worthy of x16 compression! Edited October 6, 2014 by Afwastus
FZG_Merlin Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Thanks developers, this is exactly the feature that we asked for. Where can I apply for compensation for the time I am losing due to limited time compression and being forced to play the campaign? no shit.... whats the point of FORCING people who paid 90$ for a game that didnt exist yet, to play part of it they dont want to ???? Even more annoying is the lack of x16, now even the few people who liked the single player campaign can't quickly get to the action. this is ASININE
Voidhunger Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Level autopilot still works, right? it will be turned off in the next update
FZG_Merlin Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 (edited) At least they are trying really hard to calm things down... its like they are telling certain people to go #### themselves after they have paid for a game that didnt exist the 1st day-..- thank you SO MUCH.... And you thought the dev at eagle Dynamics were bad... Edited October 6, 2014 by FZG_Immel 3
BigDally Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 It couldn't possibly be because we, as co-developers, beta testers, and/or founders are being asked to help test/debug the SP campaign portion of the game. Perhaps I'm the only one here who feels privileged to do so, but so be it.

Perhaps I'm the only one here who feels privileged to do so, but so be it. It couldn't possibly be an option to ask us to test or run through the campaign without forcing us to do so? It may surprise a number of people, but as someone with a day job, I don't enjoy being continually forced to play computer games a certain way. If the developers want to start paying me to play single player or to provide feedback on it, then I am of course more then I am more than happy to play the game exactly and when they wish me to. 354thFG_Leifr Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Erm, of course we are. That's why we are beta testers. Only difference is, we are doing it on a voluntarily base. Also, I think BigDally's post was meant ironically... No, we're not. Search the forum; Jason and the developers have said numerous times that early access does not equate to being an alpha or beta tester. They have (or had) their own group of private testers. We've simply bought into the game early, that's all.
kaboki Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Il2 Sturmovik BOS is now uninstalled from my computer forever. Hey anyone have any tips on how I can get rid of shimmering in CLOD? I want to start playing it again if I can get that shimmering away...
LLv44_Mprhead Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now this is gonna be the final nail in the coffin for me!! What the hell are you guys thinking. Now you're gonna force us to even spend more time into something as a MP I never have been intrested in. Oh man,,,are you somehow butthurt that most MP guys don't wanna play your "GREAT" campain that you even gonna make it harder for us to get it over with. So this is how you respond to the critic about MP unlocks by even pissing us up even more, great job!! Cool your jets.
IRRE_Belmont Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 .. I think devs are joking on us It's funny, really I really hope this is a joke though , or i might get into depression again So they say 2
39bn_pavig Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 (edited) I have heard two distinct things said over the last couple of days: "I am hardcore so I don't actually play the game just use autopilot to unlock everything and do what I want." and "I am hardcore so I don't think we should have autopilot in the campaign because it ruins immersion and makes it too easy." So one of the hardcore factions has one less thing to complain about now. Edited October 6, 2014 by 39bn_pavig
FZG_Merlin Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Cool your jets. there are no jets in this sim. maybe after the last unlock we get the 262 ?
VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 This announcement is an example of the light at the end of the tunnel being the headlamp of an oncoming train. 4

So one of the hardcore factions has one less thing to complain about now. Who has said that? The only thing people have said is please, please, please let me play the game the way I want to. Seriously, how many times must it be said, no one is arguing that one mode is more hardcore or that one difficulty is better or that any way to play the game is better. All most of us voicing our complaints want is the choice to play the game in a way we enjoy. It's not that we don't want to play the game, but we don't want to have to trudge through a mode we don't enjoy. FFS, how is it so hard to understand that people by nature dislike a lack of choice? So again to make it super clear: 1) This isn't about elitism or which mode is better 2) All of us want to play the game (we do however not enjoy being forced to play either offline or online) 3) None of us feel superior to other players for any reason Edited October 6, 2014 by Afwastus 7

We've simply bought into the game early, that's all. I see your point, saw it from the start. But read between the lines of that opening screen with that large explanation and lots of thank you's and "you help us make our dream come true" and so forth. There it was said, community input helps this game become reality. This is a beta. We play that beta. So, it's only a matter of politics not calling us Guinea-Pigs. No offence meant! SvAF/F19_Tomten Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 The sad thing is, nobody likes the unlock system, yet the developers has spent so much time in making it, that they can't accept the fact that just about everyone dislike it, so they even go through very dumb decisions to make people play it the way the developers want them to. I would have enjoyed the campaign in its own right, if I wasn't forced to play it to get modifications. But now that I can't even skip the travel time I would never consider playing the campaign, it's such a basic feature and it's what makes single player nice, to be able to skip the down time and get right into the action. 2
JG4_sKylon Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 - autopilot feature was turned off for campaign mode; - it's now possible to speed up time for x2 only; Might be the publishers/developers way to show all critics the finger. 4
