Alex911 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 The Campaign looks fine to me, even if I would have appreciated something more role play, like in ROF. On the other side, I am not too fond of the "unlock" system. But what is really something VERY, VERY bad, is not being able to customize the difficulty settings. I want to fly with engine management simplified, but without all the labels and on-screen help... If it is not possible, then half of the fun will be gone for me.
LastRightsXIII Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Doesn't the H key remove all of the on screen clutter?
79_vRAF_Friendly_flyer Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 There are unfortunately more consequences to these unlock things. If you have to unlock some special skins as a sort of reward it means that user made skins will not see light in the game That is my biggest concern too. I'd really, really like to start skinning.
SYN_Flashman Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Haven't found the answer to this simple question yet: If I choose to only play MP am I going to be restricted to what aircraft I can fly because I haven't unlocked them in SP? What about in QMB so that I can practise, set up controls etc? Is that answer here? I see too many conflicting pieces of information to actually know the answer. I would suggest this is a serious mistake. If this is the policy then its unlikely I will continue to play. Therefore I wouldn't but any future content. (I have everything pretty much in RoF.....). There are others like me. Do you guys want to actually create another Cliff of Dover? I have limited time. That time I want to spend in MP with my online buddies, not grinding away in SP campaigns to get points. I fully appreciate others have the exact opposite requirement and prefer only SP. Fine, have unlocks etc in that. but leave the maximum flexibility to mission creators and server owners.

Maybe the last unlock in the SP Campaign could be to unlock Custom Realism in the SP Campaign. I can live with only Normal or Expert difficulty during the unlock process, but to lose Custom Realism in the SP Campaign forever is the straw that broke the camel's back with this game for me. I won't be playing BoS at all with no hope of escaping being pigeon holed into two realism settings forever in the SP Campaign...very unfortunate. I don't like MP or QMB game play and was banking on the SP Campaign which offers the game play I enjoy (full long realistic SP missions). 3
sturmkraehe Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 (edited) I still realize that the closer one is the less damage I cause. I hoped this had changed recently. Unfortunately still the same observation. It is really wierd. Edited September 25, 2014 by sturmkraehe

Current gold owners of the sim will have access to all aircraft. Mods and skins will still need to be unlocked.

FuriousMeow Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 I still realize that the closer one is the less damage I cause. I hoped this had changed recently. Unfortunately still the same observation. It is really wierd. Not exactly, the most damage will occur at the point of convergence. Weapons converge at 300m, that is the point of most damage and etc.
siipperi Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Would really see old mission coming back to bos unless we get the campaign next week. Really want to start singleplayer experience BoS have to offer since multiplayer is pretty much brainless TDM/DM because people cant recognize the planes... Not to mentioning the most popular server have automatic engine management and claims itself expert tier server.
=69.GIAP=RADKO Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 No hints sorry guys. Just know we are not as dense as some in the community think we are. Jason Hey Jason, I apologise if I'm one of those people. I really have my heart set on this game and I'm afraid my words run away with me sometimes and as a result I don't use the appropriate wording, something I need to improve on. You guys are seriously not dense, far from it.
BladeMeister Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) This was answered on page 5'ish of this thread. Current gold owners of the sim will have access to all aircraft. Mods and skins will still need to be unlocked. I hate to say this, but I am a Gold member from the first few days of BOS preorder(not to mention I own everything ROF has to offer, plus a lot of gifted planes given away freely) and I paid 100$(if I remember correctly) for the whole game BOS. Now I am going to recieve the whole game with parts of it locked so that i cannot use it from day one of its official release. I rarely have time to fly much anymore, not to mention I fly ROF, DCS, CLOD and even IL2 1946 still. I do not have time to sit down and fly BOS single player Campaign to unlock what I paid for in the beggining. I am going to try to give Jason and 777 the diplomatic benefit that they will rethink this part of the BOS release and allow Gold Members the full product that they purchased, unlocked and ready to use upon the official release. I hope you are listening Jason, it seems there is a pretty clear message being communicated to you and the guys at 777. SIm or Game, I don't care what you want to call it, please deliver what I paid for completely unlocked and totally usable when you release the 100% finished version to me. Anything less will be a large disappointment. Thanks for your time. S!Blade<>< Edited October 8, 2014 by BladeMeister
