I think everyone had lag.

I do hope the cockpits get just a little bit more detail.

Yes - the map is looking great even for a very much a WIP job. And the normal mapped terrain adds to the overall feel of height. Great stream, enjoyed it.

It was definetly a great stream, hope to see more! Thanks!

It's all looking very encouraging. Shame about the laggy feed, looking forward to the YouTube vid with subtitles.

Thanks guys :)

I was able to watch the second half with my mobile going home after work. Some little hiccups but it fluid most of the time.

Very exciting to watch, I bet it will be even more with the translation :)

Thanks to everyone who joined me on TS. We had several dozen folks on there. Was great chatting with you while we watched the stream. Naughty Loft didn't show too much, but as you can see the Lagg-3 flies. :-) My desktop computer completely froze up twice and I missed half the stream, but recovered on another computer and saw the rest.

Quite a bit of stuff is still WIP of course, but you get the overall impression of what the non-combat visuals and flying is like.

We'll do more streams and in english soon.

Till next time...

thank you for posting it here, Ive missed it !

For some reason I couldn't join, but the images and the viedo (although choppy) looks great.

I like the little glitch with the shadow from the wheel cover on the landing gear still showing up. Just goes to show, that there will be lots of (customizable?) variation on the planes.

Many thanks for the stream. Looking forward to the translation.

I noticed mostly the sound. Spot on so far. Raise a mug to your sound engine crew.

Missed it as I was in the middle of bulding my 2500k system (bye bye Q6600!) so will catch up on youtube!

Will this become a regular thing? (not building i5 systems,  the livestream I mean ;) )

Man, that Lagg-3 looks great. I love all of the scratches, dings, dents, and other subtle, yet very highly detailed, weathering that went into the Lagg-3. I usually don't go in for weathering, but the United Team really knows how to make weathering look realistic, while not distracting from the beauty of the plane. The Millenium Falcon look really suits the Lagg-3, I think. Overall, the Lagg-3 looks like a really fun and challenging starter ride for aspiring Virtual VVS piilots and a super sweet target for any true Willy Messer-head. I am really looking forward to training on the Lagg-3, in the Fall. Thanks to the team, for sharing their progress!

I'm looking forward to ducking it's attacks in the slow a$$ IAR-81, loaded with bombs, on my way to the tractor factory.

Cool. I voted for your ride, in the non- German Axis plane poll. It was a tough call for me, though. I really want that Italian ride in IL2 BOS, too.

Jaws, what did you like most about the IL2 BOS Video Stream?

:salute: MJ

p.s. Did you notice that Loft pulled a lever under the throttle control? I wonder what that lever was for?  I was thinking that it might have to do with the radiator. I also thought that it might have something to do with the Klimov M-150p super charger, but now I doubt it had to do with the super charger, because he was so low to the ground and what not.

Between those two planes the IAR makes a lot more sense from the historical perspective. A lot more planes involved, for a longer time. Also brings in to play the Romanian forces involved at Stalingrad and all over the southern flank of the eastern front. Mission builders can create a lot of historical missions and campaigns with that plane.

There were more IAR80/81s lost in combat at Staligrad, than Machi 202 present on the entire eastern front at that time. That should count for something.

I liked the most the new lighting and color of the sky and landscape. Very natural looking. All that frozen steppe looked bloody cold.:) They'll make Loft peel potatoes for a week after he crashed that plane.:P

About the LAGG controls I have no idea.

WHAT?!?!  :o: NOOOooooo!!!!!!! Not enough STUKAs!!!!! It's a CRISIS!!!!

:P  Just kidding, I was quite pleased, really excited about all of that. I'm happy with the cockpits, but did you notice that as the LAGG was warming up, there were trucks travelling around the airfield? Excellent!

The ground looked fine, mighty fine. This is really a sim to look forward to! I'm grateful that the runway is easier to pick out from the air than the one in basic IL2 has been...

I might even walk on the wild side and fly a Russian career at some point...

I'll fly the Il-2 a lot. Love that thing.

Its Prop-pitch lever (if we are thinking about same lever), you could see it move also in old IL2 when you changed prop-pitch

P.S.

the lever to left from power lever is mixture control, just in case you were thinking about this one

Thanks for the video.

In one of the screenshots and a bit in the video you could see floating ice sheets on the rivers. I am just curios if those are static (they probably are) or dynamic and could interact with droped bombs or crashing planes. Imaging a plane crashing throught the ice into the river and the ice sheets cloosing up after it. :)

Any particular reason why it's not listed under 'past broadcasts' on Twitch?
