Would love this. How about some hay stacks scattered over random fields. Like they were just gathered. No farm simulation, but just for atmosphere and authenticity.

Hay cart is for horses,that one towed ML-20 howitzers :)

Pretty sure I can remember seeing two different types of carts (Flat and sided) modelled in BoS, found in the villages, also hay bales/stacks,  also think I have seen a tractor somewhere? as well..maybe someone can confirm

 

are the existing models separate objects that can be 'placed'

Looking very good! :salute:    Is it possible we'll be given the opportunity to purchase planes and a map together?  Flyable JU-52, Yak1b + two other planes and a map?

 

Not another BoX but an expansion pack?   I'd go for it.

knew I had seen one, are the carts and haystacks also not seen as a single object...

There are quite a lot. Here some examples of missing single objects that would be useful for mission builders:

 

- airfield caponiers

- camouflage nets

- barrels

- single ammunition crates

- single placeable trees

- carts, wells and haystacks from the village houses

- also many buildings don't exist as single objects

 

Looking through the object list in the mission builder I've also noticed, that we are missing static versions of all premium planes.

Towed artillery would make nice target. Towed by horses,trucks and prime movers like that Stalinetz or German Sdkfz-7 or 9. And Cossacks cavalry! ;)

I would add several (3-4) varied types of factory buildings or factory complex's which already include smokestacks, so they don't have to be Frankensteined from existing hangers and buildings.

 

Any chance of adding a feature where placing a group of buildings at a spot will automatically remove the trees at that location to avoid having them growing through the roof? I would like place these in the middle of dense wooded areas.

If we are going to have tractors it is clearly unfair to include the Fordson-Putilovets,

 

The SKhTZ 15/30 was produced in much greater numbers and had a much greater hectare per Hr capability (I have charts) and better off road performance from its 31.48Hp engine and solid wheels

 

Its greater turning circle and higher power (in later versions) made it literally able to drive rings around the Putilovets

Seeing as it was also manufactured at the Stalingrad tractor factory (as well as Kharkov) it would be a travesty to not include this version

 

Its victory over all comers in the (spring)1933 Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky tractor competition proved its speed and maneuverability with famous tractor factory test pilot  Dmitry Shuisky

 

There are many anecdotes in his well known autobiography

 

Perhaps I should make a poll on this important issue

Looking at the screenshot of Juri,it looks like it is not Fordson-Putilovetz built at Leningrad,but imported Fordson model N

Most probably made in one of Ford factories in Ireland or England. They were imported to SU thru Amtorg Trading Company

That's already possible. In the mission editor you can find an effect called "house_smoke".

Talking about tractors is a serious stuff:D

Agriculture tractors were largely confiscated by RKKA from kolchoz/sovchoz to serve as artillery towing. Original military prime movers like Stalinetz were lost in huge numbers during Barbarossa onslaught. They were distributed within mechanized corps situated on borders and vanished together with them. Captured ones were used also by Wehrmacht which gladly added them to their colorful portfolio of arty prime movers.

Hi all :)

 

We continue to work on texturing and "creative search" for new textures, repainting the old ones, etc.

 

At this time, a couple of pics of combination of agricultural fields and settlements:

Mods are planned, so it may be possible in the near future. However, dont think making maps is easy. The game doesnt come with mapmaking tools so its up to you to have the resources to pull it off.

The I-153 is one of my all time favourite aircraft.  One can only hope...

Jason, reading forums, I see the desire to have the pilots in the hangar Polikarpov I-153. I have developed a 3D model of the aircraft, and offer you a present right to use this model in the game "IL-2 Sturmovik"
