Requiem Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Thnx for update. P.S. Trackrecorder is not working Yep, of all things...anything but the track recorder! 1
Reflected Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I was wondering: when will full on FFB implemented? I mean ground roll rumble, stall buffet, etc...like in RoF. Thanks!
150GCT_Diego Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Sei la solita burbaccia !!!! And here's my flight leader yelling at me ... again ... Anyway, i've tried it, with High settings, and it's quite amazing! Tomorrow will be a busy day ...
dburne Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Yep, of all things...anything but the track recorder!
senseispcc Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 (edited) Clouds are working. And they, the clouds, are fantastic, if you fly into them you fly into milk in the centre or white cotton at the borders. Now I am waiting for some way to control the level of wind and clouds but like many of us I can wait all shall come in time. Thanks for this wonderful game. Did you see in this last picture the lack of shadow of the objects under the clouds! Edited March 7, 2014 by senseispcc
BMA_West Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 (edited) Yep, of all things...anything but the track recorder! I deeply sympathise, hope it is fixed for next week MP Recording shows but track gives 0 However FFB 100% OK with possibility to customise dosage. Glassing on cake now: clouds!!! Bussard_x Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Hu nimble LaGGs, no they are Yak's !!! Good fighter, real challenge for Bf109. In the Bf109 escort mission Stalingrad map.
1CGS Han Posted March 7, 2014 1CGS Posted March 7, 2014 Please keep as note - Bf109 now have limited time of overload engine run - 1 minute on 2700 and 5 minutes on 2500. If yuo will maintain longer - engine damage becomes possible. Il2 and Ju87 are also have their overload limitations. Lagg3 have no overload mode. Also, you may to turn on Auto-RPM-limiter in difficulty settings to keep these timings automaticaly. 1
VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 (edited) Could be just me but I am getting many CTDs after finishing a mission or even spawning in and then trying to end. Took off SFX, tried from Launcher and exe shortcut, also tried fresh system reboot. Still get them. EDIT: FFB is back though! Edited March 7, 2014 by VR-Stick
LLv24_Zami Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Looks like lots of improvements got in this access period even though they werent mentioned seperately. Clouds and Ai Yak are very nice surprise! Thank you, good work once again!

Bussard_x Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Also, you may to turn on Auto-RPM-limiter in difficulty settings to keep these timings automaticaly. Han what do you mean with this? There is no possibility to change this setting.
1CGS Sneaksie Posted March 7, 2014 1CGS Posted March 7, 2014 Han what do you mean with this? There is no possibility to change this setting. When choosing a mission, click Difficulty - Custom - Auto RPM limit.
SimFreak Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 There is a bug section...I would go there for bugs.
jaydee Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Thanks for the update !..If I may compliment the Dev Team on the way the game release has been handled ! You have kept us informed every week and you have kept to your schedule ! As a customer, its great to get an update every week and see the progress of the game move forward. Good work Dev Team. ~S~
II/JG17KaC_Wolfe Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Hi guys - yep track recorder not working and my bull guard anti virus is reporting this as a malicious site which they want to block - anyone got the same ?
Venom Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I only fly the F4 109 which has trim. I have tried the other planes of course but it's really tough without trim to fly them properly IMO. Ha, with the TM Warthog you own it's really a pain in the a... ahem..arm flying without trim. BTW, is support of the Saitek (Cessna) trim wheel planned in the future? I love the thing, it makes trimming so natural! And mates the Warthog (or any other) throttle perfectly:
BMA_West Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Hi guys - yep track recorder not working and my bull guard anti virus is reporting this as a malicious site which they want to block - anyone got the same ? Tell it to trust BOS' .exe. Norton is obedient as ever.
sallee Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 If I switch to flyby view I seem to be running at about twice normal speed until I increase and decrease speed again. Anyone else?
dburne Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Ok so I have flown the Lagg Intercept mission on the Stalingrad map three times so far. I am knocking on some serious wood here, but so far have not had the crash to desktop with the IL-2.exe has stopped working message - yet. Running the graphics on Ultra setting, it is looking really good. My framerates are locked at 60 in the sim, and pretty much stayed right around there throughout the mission. The high clouds look nice as well.
SOLIDKREATE Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Don't founders get the 'Closed Beta' or was that something entirely different? Just asking because I want to try out the Yak.
dburne Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Don't founders get the 'Closed Beta' or was that something entirely different? Just asking because I want to try out the Yak. No, that is entirely different...
HagarTheHorrible Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Clouds are very nice but have to confess that, as nice as the Founder 109 skin is, I thought it was supposed to be natural metal rather than grey, which is one of the reasons I voted for it. I thought it would be a good demonstration of BoS's graphics.
dburne Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 (edited) If I switch to flyby view I seem to be running at about twice normal speed until I increase and decrease speed again. Anyone else? I use the flyby view several times in the course of a mission, and have not noticed this... Any chance you have a key conflict with your accelerate time and fly by view? SR-F_Winger Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Ha, with the TM Warthog you own it's really a pain in the a... ahem..arm flying without trim. BTW, is support of the Saitek (Cessna) trim wheel planned in the future? I love the thing, it makes trimming so natural! And mates the Warthog (or any other) throttle perfectly: No support needed. Just assign its axis to your adjustable stabilizer or whatever trimaxle. Should work. Just roll it once fully in each direction to have it recognized.
senseispcc Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 (edited) I am not certain that the BF 109 f4 has trim in the game yet! Edited March 7, 2014 by senseispcc
Feathered_IV Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 If anything special and significant is added - it finds place in the dev blog. If it's only bug fixes then we just fix them without bragging about solving our own problems. That's a good approach I think. Quite different to another well known developer. Downloading now. Thanks once again for all your efforts!!
Bando Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I am not certain that the BF 109 f4 has trim in the game yet! Adjustable elevators. Well, as a pilot in a sim plane that is just about the same as trim. Try it. In the key assignments assign some keys to elevator up/dwn and then watch the wheel next to the flap wheel move. That's some sort of trim.

LastRightsXIII Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 How you can see the clouds? Every missions are without them! Or i missed something? Lapino map. Take off and landing- Calm Although the briefing says clear
dburne Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 The Lagg Intercept mission now has them, though they are very high and scattered, but they are there.
dburne Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) Well crap, it finally got me - Crash to Desktop with the old IL-2.exe has stopped responding message. Right in the heat of a really good battle also. Man... Edited March 8, 2014 by dburnette
Nankeen Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Noticed, (espessially in the Me109), you really need to keep an eye, ear on that throttle and temp, other wise it's smokey with no bandit's. Much better pilot immersive experience I think. The damage models still look absolutely fantastic, (best ive seen so far in a sim). There is so much variety. Like for example: Planes that are flaming, eventually explode before hitting the Mother Land, or a leaking radiator sighted when home safe and sound. it seems different every time. The hardest thing for me is, picking a plane to fly, they are all so unique. The Me109-F4 appears to be the easiest, where the Lagg 3 requires a pilot to really pay attention to what his next possible advantage will be. If multiplayer runs as smooth as what most are experiencing at present, (no hurry here, I still need the practice) all i can say is: "Beware of those arial snipers good peoples", Ive seen them on Youtube
JG300_Olrik Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Thanks for those fantastic clouds. It´s amazing. Engine temperature is now effective on Bf 109, but no way to control radiators yet. 1

I was thinking to myself...self..why is the windshield blackening.......and I went to external view and said "self...why is there black and white smoke coming from the engine cowling..... Then I bailed out... and hit Restart Mission..........................unfortunately..I don't thing Franz..my gunner...made it out to hit the silk in time.... Regards AldoUSMC Semper Fi AldoUSMC
