1CGS Han Posted October 23, 2015 1CGS Posted October 23, 2015 111 Dear friends! We're glad to tell you that our work on update 1.104 is nearly finished. Completing the beta stage, today we begin the testing of release candidate version. We plan to publish it in the middle of the next week and hope that nothing will hamper these plans. Today we'll show you a couple of new screenshots of the new Stalingrad campaign set during Summer and Autumn of 1942. And there is additional video showing new level of ground contact modeling between wheels of an aircraft and different terrain types: Full newsYou're very welcome to subscribe for new videos hereYou can ask new questions in this thread 13
Potenz Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 WoW, so finally summer is here, those new physics are lovely!!! great job mates
Sim Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) Nice! Curious if the AI aircraft will be able to taxi over new snow/ground now? Looks complicated from the video.. Edited October 23, 2015 by Sim
1CGS LukeFF Posted October 23, 2015 1CGS Posted October 23, 2015 those new physics are lovely!!! They really are. Suffice it to say that off-road adventures in your aircraft will now be much more...adventurous. 1
StG2_Manfred Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Looks really great. With new ground handling I have never expected slipping on the frozen river. This looks really promising! Have a nice weekend!
Finkeren Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) Awesome physics work And just look at that Yak half burried in the grass. You just wanna jump right into it and take off. Simply can't spell out how much I'm looking forward to this update. Edited October 23, 2015 by Finkeren
Voidhunger Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Thanks, new physics looks great!! finally mp will be more fun 1
150GCT_Veltro Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Thank guys for the snow - ice physic!!!!!!!
=EXPEND=Tripwire Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Be interesting to see if the new physics puts a stop to the planes taking off across the runway from the spawn point. Looking forward to the hopeful release next week! 4
LLv24_Zami Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Great, we have summer next week! Awesome, can`t wait it. That video about the ground physics is impressive. Very nice.
SCG_Space_Ghost Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Those ground physics look incredible. 1
-TBC-AeroAce Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Yes yes yes ice skating and hopefully no more idiots blasting off through the snow!!! 1
Uufflakke Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 I would love to see the plane struggling with the terrain on the BOM map during the 'rasputitsa'. 1
Uufflakke Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 By the way, anyone noticed the (I suppose animated) soldier walking in summer uniform behind the Yak?
mb339pan Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) The Force is strong in this sim! Edited October 23, 2015 by 150GCT_Pan
fergal69 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 WOW - you can drift in a 109! If you land too hard on the ice, will it crack so that you sink, or were the winters that that cold that it wouldn't happen?
Sandhill Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Love it!!! As my weather threatens to get cold, the map gets warm!
JimTM Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) Very nice update! I'm looking forward to (hopefully) fuller servers with the new summer map. The new ground physics look great and I think that they should cut out the off-runway takeoffs (at least on the winter maps). Cheers! Edited October 23, 2015 by JimTM 1
Freycinet Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Just typical of this development team, absolutely no sense of priorities. What is it about FLIGHT simulator they don't understand? - This is not an ice skating sim or a bobsledding sim. Any effort expended towards ground physics is obviously taken away from the ESSENTIAL work of improving flight physics and adding a flyable Ju-52. Rant over, and oh yeah: just kidding :-D Awesome vid!
6./ZG26_Emil Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 The new gear physics are one of the coolest things I've seen so far. Thanks for the update 1

SCG_Space_Ghost Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 The new gear physics are one of the coolest things I've seen so far. Thanks for the update That Emil cockpit really does it for me, too. Seems even more cramped than the F/G's but I'm pretty sure they are nearly the same dimensions. 1
TWC_Ace Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Summer and autumn map shots are amazing. Thanks!
TheElf Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Looks like douchy departures from the ramp on MP servers will be severely hampered not. Thanks Devs! 1
SR-F_Winger Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) just one word: AWESOME! The groundphysics do truly look amazing! Prepare for some waitinglines at the beginning of a round. Edited October 23, 2015 by Winger
[CPT]milopugdog Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Very lovely work! It seems old man winter will finally get to rest a little bit
=FI=Blue2 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Fantastic stuff there again, guys - thank you!! And new maps on the way next week is terrific too... almost enough to make me wish I wasn't leaving on vacation tomorrow, lol! I wonder if we'll be seeing the same sort of ground textures on the fall & summer maps....? (Sans the ice part, of course.) If not immediately, I'm sure we will eventually. Anyway, great update!
