Spacesheep Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Infuriatingly there's just not enough to interest me. Even at half the advertised price. As an offliner I still have no reason to fly BOS and as there has been no announcement about a decent campaign, if I bought BOM it'd just be a new set of unflown planes for me. I'll clearly be better off waiting until the price drops and for the community to provide the campaigns. Sorry I can't join in the celebration. Have to say that on a bad mood day I may also have had the same point of view... the SP features and campaign really need more attention from all point of view. Allthough I think that it is always achievable and still have good hopes to see that part improved (I mean a lot of improvments). Just have to be patient and keep pushing to get those evolution in a constructive way. And, to me, this pass by supporting the development even if the game is not (at its current state) the pure delight we all expected... especially as single players. On my side, I do have the possibility to match my thinking with acts as I can afford with not so much problem this luxury of a premium early access license for BOM... so I do it At the end, all depends were you want/can to put the "support" cursor.... Anyway, I'll allways push for a much better entertainement in SP experience and I'll try to support the development of the game as much as I think it reasonnable...both don't seem incompatible.. S!
6./ZG26_Emil Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Because a bunch of children decide that they will only fly the German planes and nothing else - they make the server 16v8 and cause all the players to quit out. (I made a thread on this that really struck a nerve with the Luftwhiners) Cliffs of Dover doesn't have this problem and there are scores of people online. I have to thank you for your absolute scream of a post about how we're all nazis. We had a great laugh :D 3
Primus_71 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 i prefer CloD, it feels like a simulation! Yeah I love the "Afterburner" on my 109 too
Azref Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Pre-ordered, simply to support the devs, and also coz i want a BF 110, JU 88 and P-40 to play with.
Bearcat Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Let's see... how to decide... one day at Disney World or unlimited days flying my favorite aircraft. Hope the kids understand- I choose the BOM. You can get a day at Disney with the kids... for $80? Well, I am one of the sorry crowd that doesn't live a life surrounded by perfection. My wife isn't perfect, nor are my kids, my abode, my job, my TV, my car, my computer... - I'm sure BoM won't be perfect either, so it will actually fit right in with my imperfect BUT STILL PRETTY DAMN' GREAT life. Waiting for perfection... - Yeah, I'll leave that to others. You forgot to mention yourself ... LOL.. but I hear ya... I already hace CoD.. I am already in for the immediate future of DCS.. whenever that comes to fruition.. for me supporting this is a no brainer.. It has it's flaws like every sim I mentioned.. but I think it is pretty well done...

Bearcat Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 when the standard preorder will be available??? Hopefully there'll be a standard preorder edition just like the one of BoS. I am sure there will be.. I just hope that the people who decide to buy the Standard version don't spam the boards with pages of complaints about unlocks when the option to avoid them is there from the start... Just as the option to avoid them was made available to everyone for a fair and quite reasonabel price when compared to any other currently developer supported model out there.. whether DCS or RoF. 1
SCG_Neun Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 (edited) I feel like the guy on A Bridge Too Far.....the Intelligence Officer that was trying to warn them of the German armor in the photos.....He was rocking the boat on that mission...but I love that line of his...." I really don't want to miss the party". That's my take on this.....I've been critical at times.....but I wouldn't want to sit this one out. Especially with the last patch that showed some hard work towards tweaking things in BOS, and I believe that work will continue throughout BOM. I don't blame anyone for giving this some serious thought and sitting this one out awhile. In addition.....I'm the kind of person that's got to be hands on with the product...to be critical. It's kind of hard to assess something when you don't have access to it in the first place. So....bring on the ME-110.... Edited April 2, 2015 by JagdNeun

Stallion Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Pre-ordere the premium edition. I need to work less than 4 hours to make that money back, and I'm sure I'll put in much more time than that into the game. Keep up the hard work boys! 1

How much further from perfect are you guys willing to go? No personal insult intended here.
Grancesc Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 I was only half-happy with BoS. Hoping to see a better single-player campaign in BoM, I'll give you another chance.

Phantom-103 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 The P-40 and a Ju-88......What's Not to Like?? Im All IN!!!! Thank You for keeping this Magical Series Alive. Cheers
Livai Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 (edited) Then when BOM is released on Steam you will have an opportunity to deactivate the key on our site and get a Steam key from us and activate it on the Steam page to add BOM in your Steam game-library. Then activate the key on our site and get access to the game without losing all your early game experience on your user account. Looked at this above I wonder why this System not worked for BoS & BoS Early Access for all who pre-ordered to join the BoS Early Access and then to switch to Steam after BoS release there if they want ? Hard to believe but now comes the truth out! http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/9157-about-retail-and-steam-version-bos/ Edited April 2, 2015 by Superghostboy

I think that's the one that recreates the atmospheric refraction commonly referred to as mirage, and which takes place when two opposing temperatures come into contact.......It's amazing the way the game has modeled this....It's true perfection.

Hard to believe but now comes the truth out! http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/9157-about-retail-and-steam-version-bos/ Oh the truth, the truth it hurts. Here is the truth. Up until just very recently we were unable to convert non-steam keys to Steam keys. We have finally found a way to do this and not break our database of users and information. You seem to think that we have all answers to every problem right away. Life and software development does not work that way and there is no conspiracy. We hope to offer the same transfer option to BOS users soon. So this issue is now moot. Jason 5
-TBC-AeroAce Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Signed,Sealed not quite Delivered!!!!! Thanks can't wait until it's sorted but I really am hoping for some improvement in general with the gameplay aspects

Camille88 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 BoM pre-ordering is not just about the game itself - it's a statement of support and confidence development team. So I see and feel myself. That`s right. + 1
Voidhunger Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 I was only half-happy with BoS. Hoping to see a better single-player campaign in BoM, I'll give you another chance. I think you will be disappointed then
Rjel Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 I think you will be disappointed then "Think" is all we can do for now. More and more content gets added to BoS on a regular basis so that one would think optimism would be running high for the future. It seems for many the opposite is true. I wouldn't bet against a more fleshed out single player experience before all is done here. It's worth $80 for me to take a chance. 2

unreasonable Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Absolutely (though my wife actually is perfect). That's rather the point. I agree, she was terrific! Shameful. The moderators and the community managers should be ashamed of the way this forum is managed. Oh come on, the moderators are pretty good, under difficult circumstances (and I say this having had my collar felt on a couple of occasions), it is the forum participants that cause 99% of the problems. 2
