dburne Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 (edited) So I was playing around a little today with some graphics settings in my Nvidia drivers, using Nvidia Inspector. First let me say, I am running BOS full screen , Ultra Preset, 1080P ( 1920x1080) on an Asus 27" 144hz monitor. Vsync off. 4X AA set in game. I get excellent frame rates , lows in the 70's and highs in the 110-120 range. I tried setting some additional AA ( enhance the application setting) through the drivers - 8X, and 8XQ, and could not tell any difference. I even tried overriding application setting, and still could not really see any difference in performance or image quality. Also tried adding in some anisotropic filtering, 16x, and again - could not see any difference either. Now my eyes aren't what they used to be either, so there may have been a difference and I just did not see it. Just curious if others are running any additional graphics settings through their video drivers? Not that I think it needs it, I mean to me the sim looks gorgeous. Edited August 28, 2014 by dburnette
SeriousFox Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Not gonna work... I'm waiting for FXAA or MXAA options.. Down Sampling would be perfect though...
Dakpilot Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 (edited) Definitely recommend downsampling at 2650 X 1440 if you have CPU/GPU overhead to run it smoothly I think I am limited by 2GB VRAM and also maybe CPU being of older generation...but 90% of the time the trade off of occasional FPS drop is worth it for me..generally getting 60FPS in 80% of situations Have tried forcing higher AA and get a performance hit but don't see much visual improvement over ingame 4 X AA, so for now leave it there.
