Poll: First person bailouts

First or Third Person bailouts?

188 members have voted

  1. 1. When I bail out from the aircraft, I would like to see:

    • First person only during the bailout and descent (unless server allows external views)
      160
    • Third person bailout, but swapping to first person during the descent
      24
    • Third person only during the bailout and descent (even if server disables external views)

Just interested to see what people think here. We used to be able to enter first person during the bailout sequence and the subsequent descent which was pretty cool, but now it is all in third person. What would you like?

(Hopefully the poll I made works)

First person.

I also liked the way game handled cockpit view when plane crashes, it's just fun to watch my plane rolls.

But it's gone now with first person bail out.  :(

I also liked the 1st person bailout view.

We had 1st person view bail out but the developers did not like it and deleted it. I personally found it cool.

Very much like first person views in bailout sequence--much more realistic and simply cool to view during decent.

great poll Req !!! Hope your classes are going well  !!!

i know that another sim has first person bailouts(dont want to mention its name just incase) but it really looks cool bailing out in first person. it adds another level of immersion and will put an extra incentive to save your pilot

It's good to hear your thoughts and see your votes guys, keep 'em coming! My hope is that one day we have the option to remain in first person instead of being forced into third person during bailouts and certain crash landing incidents.

Imagine 1st person bailing with the Oculus. Or the crash landings!

Will probably vomit, but will probably be worth it!:P

yes please give us 1st person bailouts back.

It could be similar to jumping of DCS and perhaps better. (Thanks for the Flight Simulator....and future expansions)

It would be nice to have it first person and that the simulator would keep in to account if the pilot survives, get injured or is captured, for the campaings. I'm sure already does that.

At the moment of greatest immersion, it is great shame to be suddenly dumped into third person view.

1st person would really help with the immersion. I think it's something the game needs. I'm ok with 3th person bailout (in real life all would go so fast then) but a decent in 1st person is necessary! :)

It was so fun floating down watching the battle rage around you with TIR

just having the possibility to watch your jump in first person would be awesome already

Keep the topic alive!  could we have a reaction from the dev's pls. Just about everyone wants this to happen. Are you discussing it? will it be a no, a maybe, ???

I can't w8 to do this with an oculus rift. The rift is the future, going into 3rd person totaly kills the immersion. And even for non rift users it would be a blow to the immersion.

It also kills immersion with trackIR. Floating down watching the dogfights going on around you from 1st person with trackIR was fun. I actually would usually float all the way down and watch the action vs respawning instantly like I do now.

Totally agree with this, why it can't be in first person and then maybe press F2 to go to 3rd person if you want, would seem a better solution I would have thought.
