A squad mate did this - USB controller is L.Bodnar BU0836.

 

Stick center with RC auto dampers, so allow "helicopter trim".

 

Throttle grip based on old Mason drawings, stick grip loosely based on Russian grips, both in fiberglass.

Pedal "inspired" by VKB T-Pedal, all metal.

That must have been at least two Bodnar BU0836 boards, correct?  That is a LOT of switches and potentiometers (or maybe Hall sensors?).

Yes, two BU0836  (non -X version), HALL sensor on main axis, multi-turn pot's for trim, standard pot's for secondary axis.

Now that is DIY, I used to make my own pedals but that makes my stuff look very ordinary.

I am wondering how can it be trimmed. I guess the springs push the stick back to center.

For helicopter fly is need remove the springs leaving only the dampers.
