As far as I did right, the non-Stalingrad maps both are situated on the road to Moscow, Lapino close to Moscow, Novosokolniki more close to the Polish border at that time. Did I find the wrong places or are the other maps indeed far from stalingrad?

I don't know about the newest one, Novosokolniki, but the Lapino map is just a small section of the main Stalingrad map.

It's a cool thought that the devs can release maps into this game whenever they feel like it and hence possibly open up new theatres of war or additional aircraft, for example a I-16 to go with the new map and then maybe this time next year a totally new theatre of war like a Rhineland map along with a Spitfire X1V, P-51D, Dora 9 and an Me.262!!

There would be no limit as long as we supported them; Malta, Africa, Rabaul, Philippines, Burma, Finland, Normandy - the list is endless.

I love all the maps but by god they make me feel chilly! Anyone else hankering after some lovely summer sunshine - perhaps over Kursk!
