Question regarding ammo.

Was it possible in real life to change ammo type on Fw 190 to he shells only like i's possible with the lagg 3 23 mm cannon and the la-5 ?

If it get's implemented in the game it's fine .If not that's fine too, but i'm curious if it was possible.
